what are the best ghost stories ever told in the big screen (or the small screen)?
What are the best ghost stories ever told in the big screen (or the small screen)?
Would you fuck sadako if she had girl penis like in the book?
Would you fuck a boy?
No.
what about the middle sized screen?do you ever think about that?
if she had girl penis like in the book?
care to elaborate? wasn't the lore about it actually being a world inside a videogame and sadako being a virus or something retarded like that? i prefer to think she was just a spooky sea creature
She had both if I remember correctly
what's that? like a very big iPad?
Only read the first one ages ago and was just reading it on wiki now to remember.
She was at a sanitarium, doctor became infatuated with her. Found out she was intersex, raped her anyways and then killed her under her powers.
Your lore sounds vaguely familiar and might have been the third book
In the books Sadako was intersex and lived in a hospital. Some doctor kept molesting her (but never looked at her chart apparently). When the doctor found out she had both a penis and a pussy, he killed her so he wouldn't look gay.
its always very subjective what you consider big or not
ok that sounds retarded and boring, so i don't doubt it was in the book, at least the part of the doctor not wanting to seem gay is funny
One drop rule.
ok there was no need to comment on my penis
It's true, it's not gay if you kill them afterwards
That came later. Her pp is in the first book
Nah, he killed her because he was going mental from her powers. It's actually why he raped her too, it was like a Tomie thing
this was presented as a great movie at the time, but looking back on it it's really boring even if it's well done
It's actually why he raped her too, it was like a Tomie thing
that's weird, so she secretly wanted it? that's fucked up
Anything up to a 40" is small
40-72" is medium
horror monster is fucked up
no shit
it was a good flick, but it has all the negative features of boomers that we all have learned to recognize now with the pass of time
So Warvick is big and most people are giants?
from the time when we still thought that indians were harmless exotic creatures...
pure B-movie kino, watched on my tv
we dare you say it
the real ghost was racism all along
What makes it a b movie? The production seemed fine
the platonic ideal of a ghost movie
low budget and direct to video feel
And where do you live, Simon?
He doesn't have a penis she has testicles but they're internal
How did the doctor find out then if it's all internal?
I vaguely recall an autopsy or something in I think book 2 where internal testies are mentioned
black pedi
Kwaidan
Beloved
Crimson Peak
The Innocents
Ju-On The grudge and the curse
Noroi
Ringu
Shutter
All in dim cold night
Tokaido Yotsuya Kaidan
Kuroneko
Lost Hearts
is it gay if you don't rub the internal testicles?
To say the books go off the deep end is an understatement.
i watched it a year or so ago. i didnt think it was boring. but i guess i love slow build ups like that in horror movies. one of my favorites for sure
Some doctor kept molesting her (but never looked at her chart apparently). When the doctor found out she had both a penis and a pussy, he killed her so he wouldn't look gay.
But that's makes no sense. I assume the balls didn't touch, so the doctor was in the clear.
Maybe the book explains that part more.
some 'are you afraid of the dark' and goosebumps episodes had some legit good ghost stories. unfortunately they were written for children so they didnt hit their true potential
The objective answer is The Shining. Not just the best ghost movie of all time, one of the overall greatest films of all time, but I'm preaching to the choir now. Other than that, Lake Mungo and Kairo (Pulse). Both feature two of the scariest scenes of all time, but I'm not gonna say what they are. If you know, you know. Also check out Shutter (Thai horror flick). Not on par with Lake Mungo, but some decent scares and a unique twist.
The Innocents
Also check out Shutter (Thai horror flick). Not on par with Lake Mungo, but some decent scares and a unique twist.
ah yeah, that one was pretty good in. Ringu style, saw it long ago but forgot the name
There's also a great Thai horror game called Home Sweet Home. Asians are just good at horror in general
any ghosty movies that are mostly atmosphere? like scenes with scary stuff in the backgrounds that you may or may not miss depending on how much youre paying attention? im not a jump-scare hater but jump scares get kind of boring when youre basically desensitized to being startled
also i watched smile 1 the other day. it was okay. but i loved the one early scene where the main girl goes home and its dark and shes in the kitchen and in the dark corner theres a woman just standing there smiling at her. thats the shit i love. true goosebumps moments. anything like that?
What is it about Sadako that makes her so attractive?
Everyone has their private
hurr WOULD hehe I'm such a fucked up edgelord
sentiment but it gets weird when you express it and find out almost every guy who's ever seen the movie ends up feeling that way
That the entire fan culture around Sadako is the fact that men in the audience quickly fall in love with her even though all she ever does is make spooky noises and murder people
Murderers are hot
I have no idea when it became cool to hate on the Ju-On (Grudge) series. They're not the be-all-end-all of horror or anything, but redditors act as if they are irredeemable slop, when they're actually pretty fun and effective horror flicks. The Japanese version's scene where Kayako is in the woman's bed makes me uneasy when I think about it, because she does everything a real person would do in this situation, and nothing works. Turn on the lights? Doesn't work. Call someone? Doesn't work. Turn on the TV to distract and calm yourself? Really doesn't work. Hide under the covers? You're done.
Because she's a monster. Monsters are held to a different standard. You don't have to be charismatic or financially successful or in-shape to attract a monster, because they exist outside of society. They're social outcasts, like you. Sadako isn't gonna call you an icky incel, because she herself is the ickiest of all icky incels. But she's also still a completely normal (albeit goth) looking girl, so she's the best of both worlds. This is the same reason why so many male horror icons like Michael Myers have so many thirsty female fans. It's nice to imagine a relationship outside of society
pale with long dark hair
because she's a monster
But all women are monsters.
Yes, but all those other women operate within society, which is lame. Sadako is feral, so you might have a better chance with her
Because she's a monster
But enough about women. What makes sadako so special?
What makes sadako so special?
There aren't a lot of female horror icons. She's a big fish in a small pond
Every guy wants a qt yandere goth gf, and Japanese ghost girls are pretty much the apex of this archetype. It was strange as a kid, watching the American Grudge movie and feeling slight envy towards Bill Pullman's character, since Kayako is obsessed with him, whether living or dead.
IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN MEEEEEE!!!!!!
Nice to see that I'm not alone regarding this.
pic related, my fiancee coming down the stairs to meet my parents for the first time
What you don't understand about Sadako is that I can fix her, only my love could heal her tortured and broken heart
If I had watched that videotape, it wouldn't have went down like it did. There would have been a lot of hugs in that dingy TV room and then me saying "Okay, we're going to get married somewhere safely, don't worry"
I'm partial towards The Haunting.
I love almost everything about it, the tone, the pacing, the characters. Only thing preventing it from being a 10/10 movie is that the score is forgettable
I like horror lore but I'm a pussy for scary movies, what do?
Shutter
I barely understood it when my older brother showed me that at 10yo, but it fucked me up for years lmao.
what do?
Just look up porn of horror movies on R34 instead
1963 or 1999?
If I had watched that videotape, it wouldn't have went down like it did. There would have been a lot of hugs in that dingy TV room and then me saying "Okay, we're going to get married somewhere safely, don't worry"
2028
fine asshole ill just watch them both
Just watch them. It's not like deadlifting or playing piano where there's an actual learning curve. You watch one that piques your interest, get scared, and have fun. I kinda envy you, btw. I love horror movies, but almost nothing scares me anymore.
I haven't seen any of them, so I can't confirm, but I hear the original is a classic and that the remake is terrible.
It's impossible to get scared of watching a horror movie if you're watching it in broad daylight. Especially if there's someone home with you
1999 for me
Lili Taylor is so fucking cute and frail on that movie that it's not even a question
Even if catherine zeta jones on her prime is there, Lily carries the movie
Spare the faggot brackets reddit nigger
Hahaha classic
