The CGI was done on grey screens, and it's much better than the trash that was in Brave New World. Supposedly grey makes for a more seamless, realistic look. I think $180m is actually pretty accurate in this case. Few reshoots, cheaper actors and literal who characters outside of Bucky, and to a lesser degree, Yelena.
They have a bunch of behind the scenes vids and pictures, a lot of it isn't CGI. Wild to me that practical is cheaper but there you go.
It's a shame it's not doing so well since it's actually decent, but it is a homework movie and honestly, people are burnt out by the crap stuff that keeps coming out.
Would not be surprised if FF and Doomsday are disasters.

I just watched a YouTuber yesterday that made a great point and it all makes sense. Andor literally broke the Disney Business model and they are kind of fucked going forward. These Disney projects are made to be mid on purpose. They are McDonald's. They are not made to be great. They are made to be easily massed produced for a profit. A gourmet 5 star burger would break the McDonald's business model because it's too hard to reproduce consistently. So instead they manage expectations and keep everything consistently mid.

Literally fucking WHO. Do they realise the appeal of The Avengers is seeing big name superheroes teaming up. Not some random faggots no one knows teaming up and slapping the name "Avengers" kn them.
The super hero genre just seems to have been flailing aimlessly since Endgame. I think most people thought of that as the end of Marvel movies, at least for a decade or two.
But they made so much fucking money of those films that they keep trying to recapture the audience. But they are using less popular/recognizable characters, while also using tv-shows to tell their overall story. They've made it harder for an increasingly uncaring audience to follow their new less interesting characters. And they keep doing it while hoping that the next film will be the big one.
One is captain America and one is nu-black widow, both of which were not particularly well liked as superhero ips before their late 2000s movies
