This whole time I've been working on myself and my art to get it up to quality so I can finally get started on a comic. For me. It's my problem that I want to solve. If nobody reads it? Oh well. If they do and there's some weird situation where I find myself a millionaire? Icing on the cake. Prince Valiant is one of my favorite comics, and the artist, Hal Foster, didn't start that comic until he was 45 years old. And he'd work on that comic for another nearly thirty years of his life.

So yeah, no regrets. No bag to chase, no one to impress. Just me, the pen, and the blank page. What a great problem to have.

I've actually used "AI" for clients before, primarily because they were stupid, lost their stems, and mixed their tracks down into stereo and then wanted me to remix/remaster their track from scratch. That's way easier with AI tools that let you break up a song into its component tracks, and even then I still needed to mix/EQ/master by hand. And virtual instruments can be great, they're just another tool. But if you're asking any musician worth a shit, are you kidding? Nothing compares to studio time, or playing with other actual musicians. Synths and drum machines have existed for decades, yet there are still musicians who refuse to use them, because they'd rather have a real pianist or a real drummer.
