OP is right, despite the gayass way he used to expressed himself. For me, my favorite animated series is Aqua Teen Hunger Force; that's the barometer I use to judge all other animated (and sometimes live action) comedies, and i can say without reservation that no anime or manga even comes close to how funny ATHF is. Don't get me wrong, there are some particularly funny moments in certain series; I recently watched both Kanojo mo Kanojo and 100 Kanojos, and both of those were pretty damn funny, but nothing that comes from Japan can match ATHF in overall hilarity. And before you say shit to me, yes I know I'm biased, yes I know it's unfair to use one of my favorite childhood shows to compare things, and that the language barrier probably causes me to lose 99% of all the cultural and linguistic humor from anime, but it still stands. But just look at this scene:

The animation is as barebones as it gets: most of the time the characters are static and don't even move their limbs when closing doors or picking shit up for example. Most small objects look like they're lazily photo shopped from IRL pictures, and there's only like 4-5 different voice actors each episode. The budget for ATHF must be shoestring tier, it probably costs a fraction of what a random seasonal anime costs. Yet it's completely hilarious. Tell me that if there was a 1 for 1 remake of this show into Japanese, it wouldn't be just as funny.
I get that the main reason anime isn't as funny is linguistic; you can only be as funny as the trannylator who rewrites everything into English subtitles/speech bubbles. But another part is censorship. You can't use swear words in anime for... reasons, so most jokes come off as toothless to me. You can never be free to be truly funny if you've gotta tiptoe that hard around obscenity laws. And bleeping out swear words is unheard of in Japan, so in the end it just feels like they're all made for kids
