Did you like the first one Anon Babble? I felt it was fine but very much trying to be the next John Wick, but not as good/original.

that trailer looks so dumb but i still want to watch it when it comes out
john wick took itself too seriously this is laid back fun kino
Who will see this movie? Spoiler alert, the answer is in the movie title.
I really like Odenkirk much more than Keanu and John Wick got stupid with all the dumb "worldbuilding" and "lore" they tried to shove into it. Nobody was just straight to the point, fun, and I also loved Hardcore Henry so I was already inclined to like it
why did Saul become a street fighter?
Nobody was a shitty copy of A History of Violence. Hard to believe the same guy directed Hardcore Henry
Good enough to watch while drinking with friends. Odenkirk isn't a very convincing action lead.
This, even if the choreo isn't quite as good.
lol, the first one did well. They don't make sequels to failed movies, dumbass.
I'm going to see it because I've loved Bob since Mr. Show.
I liked the first one a lot more than I thought I would. it was cheesy, but in a fun/self aware way. I didn't think it needed a sequel but I'll check it out I guess.
My dad loves shit like this. He buys the blu rays at full price £18.99 then falls asleep watching it in his living room. Same with Jason Statham and Liam Neeson movies.
I'm a big gun guy and I tend to notice that newer movies (including John Wick 3 and 4) subtly try to phase out guns in favor of knives (I remember like 4 different sword fights in JW3 for some reason), so it was just nice to see gun kino again. Agreed he wasn't the most convincing as a tough guy, but I think he really carried with the dark humor which is what he's great for imo
I don't like the bus fight in the first one cause after 10 minutes in reality everyone gives up or moves on they're night fighting for another 20 mins
how old is Bob Odenkirk and how can he keep doing this action slop fake persona
I liked the first movie but this one looks awful
girlboss villain, powerful wife, family bullshit sidekicks. No thanks
He's 62 and nearly died on set due to Covid that one time so not very long and his agents are milking him since Breaking Bad and Saul series is over this is all he has left until there's a Breaking Bad reboot
I’m glad Dadcore movies are getting sequels.
Nobody
Literal 10/10 fight scene (the bus) in a 6/10 movie
Reminds me of Atomic Blonde in that way.
This, the introduction of the bullet proof jacket totally kills John Wick for me. At least Nobody keeps the lore tight within the first movie
How many "normal dude is actually a highly-trained cool badass" slop flicks are they going to make?
I liked the first movie for the most part. I could do without...what was it, RZA? Lloyd was ok, but honestly I found most of the last 1/3 to be kinda whatever. I think overall the movie was fine in that as you said, it was basically just lower-budget John Wick. But I actually love John Wick 1 and I fucking hate everything that came after it. John Wick was interesting because he was a single guy that stood above everyone else, but not superhuman outside of just being Action Hero levels of tough, like the Punisher. But with the sequels and shit it became more of an action-fantasy, with nearly super hero levels of what are essentially magic tools and he didn't stand in contrast to anyone because ostensibly anyone else in the movie like him was equally skilled.
So yeah. I'd take more Nobody and less John Wick.
The final fight at the factory was actually pretty mid and Lloyd slowly skulking around trying to keep up was just depressing
Yeah, but I'm kinda just happy he's having fun. I'm never going to judge him for that shit.
Same, the first one is at least believeable, he just a highly trained but shaking his rustiness but the best part is it actually grounded, like wearing body armor and prepping spare mags, and even shows he ran out of ammo. The sequel introduced more crazy elements like bulletproof suit jackets and become Taran Butler's marketing piece
I'm surprised Christopher Lloyd is back. He already looked like he was melting in the first movie.
The movie looks cool but I REALLY REALLY hated the use of Holiday Road. All the slowing down and sound effects... why do they all just follow the same tired formulas? It was a major cringefest to me and I turned it off near the end because modern trailers spoil too much of the movie anyway. I usually avoid them for just this reason. I know whether I want to see something without seeing the trailer, and I'm usually glad I skipped it.
If anything the trailer made me want to see it less than just having known it existed. I'll still go see it. I just hope they don't actually use the fucking Vacation song in actual movie.
Boomers literally make me seethe with how great they have it.
all he has left
LOL, he's already written his memoirs. He's had a second, or you could even call this a third career (action movies). He's not someone clinging to relevance and giving a shit. He was happy doing regular character actor stuff like Fargo after his long writing/sketch comedy career going back to the 80s. He's directed movies, he made Tim and Eric, he did SNL and Mr. Show. Breaking Bad and everything after has all been a huge bonus to him.
Le average suburban dad is actually le secret super cool badass killer
Yes. But not French.
Jean Reno would do it will
3 minute trailer
practically seen the movie now
ill pirate it
for action this year im going for mi in imax... then maybe ballerina
nothing else yet caught my eye to go see it in theatres
yeah, but i still want to see it. good action, functional family, the man is a man, very little DEI shit.
I'm a little disappointed that it doesn't look like the son and grandfather are joining the fight. At the end of the movie, it looked like they were all gonna team up, and was hoping the second movie would have all 3 generations working together and kicking ass.
This shit sucks ass. It tried wayyyy too hard it's cringe.
Are you satisfied with a sufficient lack of jews involved in the production, chud?
Perhaps they aren't going to give everything away in the fucking trailer. You're disappointed in missing plot points and you haven't seen the movie. You're either a no-attention-span zoomer or a fucking retard.
the first movie kind of felt like a tongue-in-cheek pastiche of those types of movies. it was definitely a little self aware, in a good, not obnoxious way. the actual action was hit or miss but it was fun.
The first movie sucked but it was unintentionally hilarious watching Christopher Lloyd shuffling around like a zombie with a shotgun while the sequence was framing him to be "badass". Looked like he was about to shit his pants and die at any moment
the first movie kind of felt like a tongue-in-cheek pastiche of those types of movies.
Not on purpose, it was earnest.
it was definitely a little self aware
It wasn't, it was just bad.
It's fine but nothing amazing. Even the people shitting on it in this thread will.
but very much trying to be the next John Wick
Literally written entirely by the guy who wrote John Wick and directed by the guy who directed John Wick(1) before bailing on the series to do Atomic Blonde
bullet proof jacket in a fantasy world of assassins is unrealistic
90 year old man dual carrying rifles and a shotgun in the real world is fine
retard alert
Disagree.
Nta but the bullet proof jackets made all the fights lame where everyones running in holding their jackets in front of their faces. It looks stupid as hell. Wick 4 also has a lot of awkward fights where the goons are fumbling on the ground constantly waiting for their queues specifically the japan section
I like timo and the first one was an okay watch so I will go to the theater for this one
