I did not like it. Writer's strike clearly affected it

How much screen time does the Pom have?

The last one was already turbo shit. I can't how it could get worse but thankfully I'm not curious enough to find out. If he's going to go full FastNFurious, fine but don't lie about doing your own stunts and doing everything practically. Once a liar, always a liar.

She has decent screentime. She mogs Atwell I'm ngl.

The final stunt was the only saving grace. Story sucks ass.

i think it's just that we were spoiled by top gun, which has more raw emotion. MI has never been emotional

Homewrecking whore

he seems to want to go out with a bang but IMO the proper ending for Mission Impossible is something like the equivilant of Logan, in this case a small scale spy thriller where he gets personal and the planet isn't at stake from some AI virus setting off all our nukes or whatever shit these newer movies use as the backdrop.

That would fit James Bond, not MI

the proper ending for Mission Impossible is something like the equivilant of Logan

He gets replaced by a mexican girl in a metaphorical passing of the torch from White boomers to browns?

I fucking hate the MI impossible series for stealing Tom Cruise.
Like 2 decades wasted on this shit when he could have been making kino

the first one was only half a movie so of course the second half of it was also going to be shit. fucking trash ai garbage story. ik cant believe they made 5 hours of this dog shit.

Cruise produces them, he's the one who wants to make them.

I know, it still sucks

disingenuous chud

ideally he'd get replaced by another ensemble team and go full circle back to the original MI, like he gets crippled in action and now he's the new Jim Phelps/Director

chud

Go watch Harry Potter or some shit

best you could come up with, is this the power of chud creativity?

Why would I put effort into internet posts

In June 2023, McQuarrie told Fandango that Dead Reckoning and The Final Reckoning would not necessarily end the series, and they were developing ideas for future installments.

Could make sense, it's hard to start a new franchise

Doesn't Cruise have enough power to get whichever writers he wants on his projects?

For what it's worth, if they do continue with another entry into the series, I just hope Pommy makes it in.

Final Recokning is gonna flop extremely hard, 1 billion break even point, mediocre reviews, barely anyone saw the first part
it's the last one and they know it
also Cruise is hitting the male wall

No Jeremy Renner

No Alec Baldwin

No Paula Patton

No Thandiwe Newton

What did they do to get off Tom's Cake list

Paula Patton

Why didn't she stay on desu

NEED THE WEBM OF HAYLEY ATWELL GIVING CPR NOW!!!!!

Thandie couldn't handle mi2

Writer's strike

So this is how last movie star fades?
Were writers the main stars of Hollywood? (Yes, I know Cameron made Arnie and Cameron with Scorsese made Leo)

Star.png - 636x382, 331.87K

Jeremy Renner

Schedule issues due to Avengers movies and phallus loss.

I'm still gonna watch it for cruise-kino. The first one got very slow start, the build-up taking too long and waste lots of screen time but once the action kicked in then it become the MI movie we all know

Dead Reckoning was awful. Not watching this one since it was made by the same people.

phallus loss.

What is his current member status?

Never watched a Mission : Impossible movie. Which one is the best? I've heard the third one and the one with the Superman dude. I wanna watch one today. First one feels old and I've heard second one is the worst

my take is probably a contrarian one but here
1 > 6 > 4 > 2 > 3 > 5 > 7

They should’ve brought baldwin just to shoot cruise at the end

M:I has always been kino. Seriously, this weird tranny hate campaign against this series needs to end. Feels like a psyop.

the proper ending was MI: Fallout

how is Rebecca Fergusson resurrected?

1 > 4 > 6 > 5 > 2 > 3 > 7

Dead Reckoning was dogshit too. Horrible filming/editing that was clearly affected by COVID, full of awful visual effects, Tom Cruise is actually looking old now. This movie must REALLY suck if critics are saying it's even worse than DR

Fine. Then don't make the movie three hours long and fill most of it with gravely whispering in dark caves. Do cool stunts and shit

I like
1>3>2>4>5
haven't seen others

This. You have to know when to stop. Tom is way too old now and it's ruining the movies

it's so shit, half the fucking movie is literally exposition and random on-screen characters ballwashing cruise's character

literally gets called the chosen one in the film at one point

there are only like 2 decent stunts (the part with the submarine and the part with the biplanes at the end) but to get to them you have to suffer through some of the worst fucking writing i think i've ever seen in a movie plus randomly splicing in bits and pieces from previous movies to pad out the runtime

also introducing new characters with barely anything to do and linking them to previous films like that one guy who is the son of the bad guy from the first mi film or this other guy who appeared for like 2 seconds in the first movie but now has a major role in this one

also they had this entire plot point about how skynet, sorry, "the entity" has a massive doomsday cult worldwide dedicated to helping it wipe out humanity and do basically nothing with it aside from like 1 moment where some random navy guy tries to kill cruise, you'd think not-skynet would be sending hordes upon hordes of devoted cultists to stop cruise and his buddies plus the other hispanic bad guy who is now on his own team for some reason instead of working for non-skynet as he previously did
also cruise needs to fucking lay off the plastic surgery, you're 62 dude, just accept that you're aging

What do you like about 3 more than the others? It's the weakest imo... the central plot is classic JJ Abrams mystery box bullshit and Philip Seymour Hoffman is CRIMINALLY underutilized.

>No Jeremy Renner

lost his penis

>No Alec Baldwin

got killed off for shock value

>No Paula Patton

looks like a tranny

>No Thandiwe Newton

thinks Cruise is creepy

2>1>6>massive power gap>3>4>5>liquid shit>7

What are you talking about anon, I'm a young and spry young agent!

1000025486.jpg - 700x875, 95.22K

2 and 4
ignore the others, they're all shit

2 is fun. You won’t walk away regretting it.

2 is undeservedly criticized for what it is... it's an unpretentious balls to the wall action flick and it holds up far better than most would have you presume.

Can I get a synopsis as I'm not wasting my time and want to know how everything is resolved since we know they didn't even have a finished script for the second part when they were making part one and why it went insanely over budget at 400 MILLION DOLLARS and will most likely lose money!?!FACT!!!

Oh and M:I-1 is great and the only good movie of this series while NOTHING has or even will top the Chunnel train climax...

youtu.be/4WaXuRWGrvw?si=A3HfRJOSisGljQOn

!!!FACT!!!

I just want Pom to ride my face until it's smooth, is that too much to ask?!?FACT!!!

bitch has some high arches

1 is great but it has little bearing on the rest of the franchise. It's like the first Rambo. DEFINITIVE ranking and you're a lousy faggot if you disagree:

Fallout
Rogue Nation
Ghost Protocol
MI 1
MI 3
MI 2
Dead Reckoning

7 sucked. I'd agree that 6 was a good ending. I like all of them really although 5 is probably the weakest if we ignore 7 & 8.

Even better as they press on my face while I pump her like an oil well!!!FACT!!!

writing

McQuarrie barely "writes" anything for these movies. Every plot point is just an excuse for Tom to do another ridiculous stunt.

You have to remember that M;I-1 came out only a few months after Goldeneye, which is the best Bond movie, and was refreshing as it wasn't about people shooting machines guns at each other.

It's focus was on espionage and subterfuge while at the core of the story was on how information was the most valuable commodity with the NOC list compared to Goldeneye and every other Bond movie where it's some villain with a super weapon who wants to destroy/rule the world.

Cruise's original idea was to have a different director come on board for each movie and bring their own style to it. Oliver Stone was supposed to do M:I-2 but Eyes Wide Shut went over schedule and Stone dropped out while I wouldn't want to see him constricted with a PG-13 rating.

De Palma, who is my favorite Director, was the perfect choice as he showed with The Untouchables that he could deliver suspense and action on a PG-13 level without losing tension.

This is why I fucking hate M:I-2 as it was a complete 180 from the first and just a mindless action film while YOU DON'T FUCKING HIRE JOHN WOO TO MAKE A PG-13 ACTION MOVIE while he was no doubt hired after Cruise saw Face/Off and even ripped off a scene in Darkman where the villains shoot and kill ne of their own wearing a mask placed on them.

Then there was the rush to get the movie out as by the time M:I-2 came out Cruise had more of less been off the market and needed a big hit, so the production was rushed without a finished script with the only good thing coming out of it was that Dougray Scott lost the role of Wolverine in X-Men to Hugh Jackman because of overshooting and thank fuck because he's a zeor-charisma-non-threatening-effeminate-faggot fucking loser.

Then there was the issue that unlike part 1 and information being the focus, now it was some fucking bio-weapon bullshit with every other subsequent film having everyone chasing some super weapon or stopping nukes from going off!!!FACT!!!

>writing

McQuarrie barely "writes" anything for these movies. Every plot point is just an excuse for Tom to do another ridiculous stunt.

He didn't deserve that Oscar for The Usual Suspects when Andrew Kevin Walker's script for Se7en was superior in every way and a better movie overall!!!FACT!!!

Cruise's original idea was to have a different director come on board for each movie and bring their own style to it. Oliver Stone was supposed to do M:I-2 but Eyes Wide Shut went over schedule and Stone dropped out while I wouldn't want to see him constricted with a PG-13 rating.

Do you mean Kubrick? I read De Palma was originally considered for MI2, but he declined and that's when Cruise opted to tap Woo for the sequel.

not hard to do. atwell reduced her tits and isn't very interesting

that actually would be funny, he hands Ethan a new high tech handgun and it somehow fires and kills Ethan... whoops

Atwell always had this weird brutish face which she compensated for with her sexy melons... she's older and thinner now.

Do you mean Kubrick? I read De Palma was originally considered for MI2, but he declined and that's when Cruise opted to tap Woo for the sequel.

It's a bit complicated.

De Palma was offered to do a sequel but declined. Stone was next choice but left as EWS was taking too long to film while as I said wouldn't have been a good fit as I don't want Stone restricted while I'd imagine his movie would have been more of a political suspense/thriller.

So Woo was a spur of the moment choice while it's not a coincidence that he had done Face/Off, which dealt with people switching faces on a superficial level, but Travolta is a Scientologist, as is Cruise, so it made everything an easy connection to get things going.

Also, Cruise peaked in 96 with M:I/Jerry Maguire and Kubrick kept him off the market too long, only able to squeeze in a supporting role in P.T. Anderson's Magnolia, so it was a rush to get another M:I movie out asap and while it was a huge hit I hate it because it was the polar opposite of what made the first movie soo great.

M:I-3 was when the franchise settled as Cruise went with the safe choice of hiring Jar Jar Abrams to Direct based on his pilot for Lost and didn't want to take any more risks while other Directors such as David Fincher had been approached but refused probably because of the last time he Directed the third part of a franchise and how that ended up....

Since then it's just been the standard Bad Guy/Weapon/Must Stop Him as an excuse for set pieces and while I will say that none of the movies since have necessarily been bad, they just feel bland compared to how the franchise started with M:I-1.

If M:I-3 had been the first movie of this series I'd probably feel different but the first two had great Directors with such such strong styles that they clashed with each other and everything since as they've tried to incorporate a bit of both in subsequent films but without the flair that 1 and 2 had regardless of how you felt about either.

I just wish Cruise had hired Martin Campbell given the amazing work he did with Goldeneye and Casino Royale, that on the surface are your typical Bond movies but he was able to bring a sense of energy that makes them stand out without any sort of recognizable style choices like De Palma and Woo's camerawork, each of whom have their own trademarks that you see in their movies!!!FACT!!!

Why is Fallout rated so highly? It was the weakest by far of the recent MI films.
The first MI film sucked shit, atleast to anyone fans of the show. It went from ensemble skillset crew doing crazy heists and capers into one-man action hero slop. MI 2 was atleast honest about that role and embraced it.

!!!FACT!!!

Sincerely, kill yourself.

2 and 4 are easily the best, but the rest all have great moments

Stone was next choice but left as EWS was taking too long

Are you a bot? Stone has nothing to do with EWS you mong.

Goldeneye, which is the best Bond movie, and was refreshing as it wasn't about people shooting machines guns at each other.

GE had far more machine-gunning than any previous Bond movie. TND was even more over-the-top. It probably has the highest body count of any Bond movie.

Cruise's original idea was to have a different director come on board for each movie and bring their own style to it.

He should've kept to that plan. Abrams and McQ turned the series into slop.

I really liked Fallout aside from the cuck subplot. Why did they do that? If he couldn't be with his love, fine, but it was weird to show her get married off and he was happy for her.
