Biel cucked Banks and stole her husband. She is ostensibly the "better sister" since she always had her shit together while Banks has a lot of issues. The kid Biel is raising as her son is actually her nephew and Banks' son whose custody she lost. Anyway, Banks really did murder the husband because he was in debt with the mob and they were threatening the kid. She figured they'd leave the kid alone if the dad was dead since his mob ties were secret. That technically makes her the better sister since Biel knew the husband was doing some shady shit but kept quiet to not disturb her perfect life. In the end Biel finds a way to cover for Banks so she avoids jail time and they make up over their shared love for the kid.
