It can't have been that fucking bad, can it?
its like 10 very short episodes and 2 of them are nothingburgers
this and first episode is animation of RHCP live song.
I had high hopes after S03 but this is S02 tier bad.
400 Boys was kino. Robert Valley's shorts are always great.
I hate that artstyle.
I like it
I can tell it's already the worst season after watching the awful first episode
it was horrible
How did the asian lady tame the T. rex?
Best to worst:
How Zeke Got Religion
Close Encounters of the Mini Kind
Spider Rose
Golgotha
The Other Large Thing
Can't Stop
The Screaming of the Tyrannosaur
For He Can Creep
Smart Appliances, Stupid Owners
400 Boys
Mediocre season overall, but better than season 3.
Why did they waste a whole episode just to shill Red Hot Chilli Peppers?
It was pretty fucking bad overall
There were a couple highlights (Zeke Got Religion was gold and 400 Boys is really neat) but like 6 of the 10 episodes are downright bad
400 Boys was one of the highlights of Mirrorshades. Never thought I'd see it in produced in any other form. They made some choices I wouldn't have made but by and large I enjoyed it. Some of the imagery was very literal to the story and that worked to its favour. I might watch it again.
Good:
400 Boys
Spider Rose
How Zeke Found Religion
Tyrannosaurus one
He can creep
Rest?
Shit. As always the john scalzi ones were the worst. Fuck that hack.
Shit taste, having 400 boys that low and the other large thing that high
He can creep
This one bugs me because it has potential, but the animation is so shit and it's coming at the very end of 4 straight seasons overdoing the joke of cats being scheming geniuses who think they own their humans, so it just comes across as lazy bullshit
it was a better / cuter story than the other "cats own humans haha" stories tho
>zero discussion
there were two threads on it yesterday. You'd know that if you weren't a filthy fucking casual.
I didnt like the ending of Spider Rose :(

We literally just had a bump limit thread on it the past two days, you retard. You're own fault if you missed out
Can't stop should be at the bottom. It's puppets performing a RCHP song. It has nothing to do with the premise of the show other than being CGI. Fischer probably wanted an excuse to bang 13 year old with Anthony Kiedis.
She was jewed by space cuddlefish
Tell me true is this worth watching?
Overall probably the weakest season.
-WWII one was good
-400 Boys was ok
-most were forgettable
-RHCP one was irredeemable dogshit, basically just an ad

Trash season
Skip the first episode and possibly Small Appliances. Your mileage will vary with the other episodes.
Can't believe I am going to say this but it was worse than Secret Level and that was real prime dogshit.
The guy who did The Witness and Jibaro wasn't in this round because he was doing a trailer for Bungie's new dogshit game.
Trailer was cool though: youtube.com
I am just to pretend the Marathon reboot isnt real and this is part of the new season.
The previous 2 seasons were complete ass, why would this one be good?
Because we know how anthologies work. Sad that you don't.
lots of cats and religion this season
nothing that blew my mind like bad travelling or jilbaro in the last one but i really enjoy it still. robert valley still the goat and i loved the look of how seke found religion
honestly i only found the cat models to be kinda bad looking, but the enviroments and particularly the smoke and fire effects looked amazing so i could overlook it
All this crapping on season 3 had me ready to defend it, but then I realized the only thing I remember from it that was actually good, like legit good and not this shitty "It could've been worse" posts for most of this season, was Bad Traveling. Don't get me wrong that shit is absolutely fantastic in storytelling, setting and animation instead of just at best having good animation, but one short really can't make it a not-bad season.
Fuck, I hate when shit is worse than I remember.
Bad Traveling sucked ass though. The boat and crab looked neat, but the characters and story were garbage. Jibaro, Very Pulse of the Machine, Swarm, Vaulted Halls were all great. Night of the Mini Dead was novel and funny.
Zima Blue remains my all time fav. Usually each season has at least 2 episodes that I consider really good. This season only had 1. Shame.
They definitely needed to stick to using already good short scifi stories. Spider Rose was one but not the greatest choice. They could have picked a couple more scifi rather than doing the talking cats
i can hardly remember season 1 but i recall it being quite kino, yet i cant remember a single episode from it.
spider rose is deceptively bad and it entirely benefits from the DUFF syndrome going on - it only looks like it's "decent" because compared to pretty much everything else in the S4 lineup it's not TOTAL dogshit, so relatively speaking it's good
but watch it again and you'll notice pretty key problems, namely, the story is fucking retarded and pointless. this chick sorta wants revenge, sorta wants to be left alone, is sorta a lot of things - none of it matters though because her arch-nemesis just shows up out of nowhere in some rinky dinky piece of shit 3-man ship to suicide charge her. but you know what matters even less? the dumb little squidmonkey the whole episode centers around. WHAT. WAS. THE. POINT. actual meaningless fucking schlock, borderline filler trying to pass off as worldbuilding or foreshadowing to something, ANYTHING interesting happening. it having its color by the numbers mascot moment and nibbling the bad guy for a second to give the MC a chance to gain the upper hand is so beyond trite it's not even funny. and then it eats her and the next lilo and stitch abomination to come out vaguely looks like her. WOW. EPIC BRO. THIS IS TRULY LOVE DEATH AND ROBOTS.
boring, pretentious, melodramatic, bad story, bad pacing of said bad story, boring characters, zero pay-off, uninteresting generic sci-fi world
Apparently the ending of Spider Rose deviates heavily from the source material, which would have actually made for a good ending.
The WWII one with the airplane was cool though.
none of it matters though because her arch-nemesis just shows up out of nowhere in some rinky dinky piece of shit 3-man ship to suicide charge her.
Even better, suicide charge her right after establishing they're all clones so it should blatantly obvious that he'd just, I don't fucking know, not go personally. "oh but it's so much more satisfying, he said!" Yeah after confirming he tried 11 times with clones. Totally makes sense.
Spider rose and How Zeke got religion are best ones. It sucks because LDR always has like 2 really good episodes and the rest are shit
Vaulted Halls
Oh yeah, the great episode of "Run from small things for 3/4ths of the episode and inexplicably try to shoot ten thousand microbots with their standard ass guns, constantly stopping in their fleeing to do nothing of any note to slow down the thing coming at them."
10/10 writing, only could've been better if they'd stopped to stab the fuckers one by one. Glad we wasted all that time watching characters you don't remember die so that we can get to what might be the start of something half interesting before it ends.
FYI if you like LDR check out Secret Level it's pretty good as well I personally think the animations are better
the giant babies against black urban gangs? What part of it did you enjoy exactly? Felt just as shitty as the rest to me.
im not sitting through 90% shit just to find one good episode
Anthologies like the Twilight Zone or Outer Limits used to be majority good episodes, not 90% slop because some nepobaby wants their script turned into an episode.
The dolphin episode might be one of the worst episodes ever put to screen. I just waited for something to actually happen the whole time, maybe a discussion of some sort that had some interesting writing if nothing else, maybe something about creation myths, literally anything.
But no. It just has someone say they're going to talk to aliens, get told why they're going to talk to aliens, the alien does a 3 minute exposition about what happened and then it just ends. This shit is what reminds you all the good writers get kicked out of this industry, nobody with an iota of talent would've had the balls to put their name to it.
A girl gets eaten? Is she cute?
It was never good to begin with.
Checked. I agree. They're just like "hey, what if aliens come to Earth but like they're religious and their God is a dolphin?! Man, that would be so neat!" Then... that's about the extent of it. They put it out with some simple premise and no actual story beyond that. They've done that with a bunch of episodes, like the talking appliances, and I have no clue why it's allowed. Those are always the lowest rated ones
Dolphin was 2nd worst behind the first ep. First ep was literally just a fucking ad.
I can't even judge the first episode as an actual short, its like trying to judge the storyline of a music video. Except, they actually have those, and some of them are actually pretty good. Shit, Stuck Like Glue's music video was funnier than most of the "Comedy" episodes in any of this.
Now THIS is shilling.
Honestly, this doesn't even apply to that short this much because the aliens seemingly are just fucking hate land organisms, but hack writers and normies always have this retarded fucking idea that aliens would judge us for what we're doing to animals and it triggers the absolute shit out of me. I love animals, but the entire premise of 2 or more space faring civilizations existing at the same time kind of implies that the laws of nature are universal to some extend.
ha ha cats our gods an shit so funny ha ha
Boring.
Satan tearing himself in half after the cat ate the poem was great
It's fucking bad. A couple of the shorts had cool ideas but they're all so poorly executed. Most of them are retarded as fuck. Why do they keep doing these when they get objectively worse with every season? I don't understand.
I thought the WWII one was good
I thought it was shit and like the other anon said it’s a tired cliche and this didn’t do anything different.
It was a pretty bad season. I liked how Zeke Found Religion or whatever it was called and 400 Boys. I also liked the RHCP opener, but that’s probably because I didn’t even view it as an episode.
