When did you stop watching for good?

Halfway through season 2.

Smartoons

First episode of season 3. It wasn't bad, but I just didn't feel like watching it anymore.

Season 5 episode 9 I believe. It was already long past good with only a few passable episodes or moments. Them replacing Roiland cemented I'd never go back even if it somehow got good again (new voices are fucking dogshit from all the initial clips I saw). Soul vs. soulless.

I never stopped even after Dan Hammond / Justin Roiland got the boot. It's sad we'll never get to see their direction

Solar opposites is shit

When roiland lleft

i binged all the seasons i'd missed recently to see if roiland leaving had made the show significantly worse. like you say it was already heavily in decline by the time he left, but i got to the first episode with new voices and quit within like 5 minutes. its completely unwatchable now

S4/5, I think? I quickly lost interest after S2. Tried to catch up now and then until S4/5. Also

When Bushworld came out and mogged everything Harmond had ever done without even trying

I’m pretty sure it was season 3. I wasn’t ever a huge fan of the show or anything but I did like it when it first came out. I remember though around the time season 3 came out the fandom around the show was already getting very annoying. The writing quality dipped noticeably in that season as well so that seemed like a logical time to bail. Haven’t looked back since and don’t regret it for a second. Now whenever I catch a clip of a new episode in a commercial for the show or something I usually cringe, it’s really lost its way.

I think I watched some of S4 but didn't quite finish it. Definitely peaked in S2. Best episodes (only ones I really remember) were

Microverse car battery

The one where they're locked in the house with the memory-planting shapeshifting aliens

The one where they're locked in the house with the memory-planting shapeshifting aliens

Yeah that’s my favorite episode and it’s a head above the rest of the show in terms of quality imo. Stands out

I'll let you know when it stops making me laugh.

It was around season four when the show stopped being funny or creative and started feeling like a chore to sit through. When you start having incest plots for shock value, you’ve officially run out of ideas.

S1-4 were God tier despite what fart sniffers say. Season 5 is where it fell off a cliff. Episode 3 with the nature saving superhero chick who Morty falls in love with was the last episode I genuinely enjoyed. The rest of S5 and the few episodes of S6 I watched were cringe unfunny garbage so I dropped it

The part where Jerry comes back.

looking at the synopsis of season 5 and yeah holy shit that's one of 2 passable episodes (i thought the decoy one was ok as well)

1. mr nimbus

4. incest baby

5. hellraiser ripoff

6. thanksgiving

7. power rangers ripoff

8. birdperson "lore"

9. portal boys/crows

10. evil morty

all either boring, derivative, predictable, or completely unwatchable. almost a complete season of skips

I'm still watching for the same reason I still watch South Park: I'm a fucking idiot.

The latest season of Rick and Morty was entirely shit, although I kinda liked the idea of the fear hole in the last episode. Every other episode was terrible though.
It's just a habit to me at this point, so I guess I'll watch more

I never stopped. I'll watch every episode, no matter how bad it is. But it stopped being good in season 3

I'm watching to see how it gonna end.

I don't remember if I even completed first season. Pickle-Rick always was cringe and if you enjoyed it, then congrats - you are 100% reddit.

by season 5 its already a zombie series like simpsons, family guy or south park. still gonna watch anyway to see where it goes because the only one of those i actually really got tired of was south park.

I think I stopped watching after the second season. Whatever season "get schwifty" was in, that was the last one I watched.

i wanna fuck planetina

GOODBYEEEEE
MOOONMEEN
Fucking kino

BASKIIIIIIN
ROOOBERTS
Kek its kino

Harmon’s not even involved anymore? I didn’t know that. I bailed around the point where Rick decided for a couple of episodes that he was Vampire Hunter D or something, and he kept talking about “two crows”. It really got on my nerves, and it just felt like they were trying to force a meme or something.

I still jerk off to Beth AI slop that I make though.

End of Season 2. Regretted watching that honestly. Season 1 felt more authentic.

i think harmons still officially "involved" but like everything else he's ever made he effectively bailed after a couple of seasons and delegated everything

I think the szechuan sauce situation was the bucket of cold water on the whole thing. It went from being the next Futurama/Family Guy to being “that cringe show that the Asian kid was sperging at McDonald’s about”.

They really should have distanced themselves from that instead of doubling down.

Roughly 1/4 episodes are still worth watching, just look at how they're rated.

Honestly thought the show stopped in s5

worst part was that that video was scripted

All I remember of their take was a video they did where McDonald’s sent their office a gallon jug of the stuff during its peak, when people who managed to get a pack of it were charging other people money to dip nuggets in it, which is “chicken jockey” level cringe. Anyway, they tried it, and their reaction was a resounding shoulder shrug and “…ok”.

No harmon doesn't usually bail, he gets shitfaced 24/7 and starts writing his self loathing and daddy issues into his show and starts guilt-virtue signalling (hiring retard female writers for r&m) and then usually gets fired or crashes the show if he cant

That’s the problem, I could never tell if he was actually sperging out, or if he was making fun of the actual spergs who were sperging out. He kind of became the face of the whole thing regardless.

i just turn in for summer episode and always get disappointed with how shitty their are

the show ended here

Bushworld is peak

This is the quintessential hate watch show on Anon Babble.

threads every week it's airing saying how bad it is

continue to watch every episode

when did you stop watching for good?

>hurrr i never watched a single episode

didn't ask

I saw the season finale, as a (official?) youtube video released on reddit, and I went back and watched all of season 1 with my sister.

I didn't catch season 2 immediately but I saw an episode called "Total Rickal" and it just seemed so fucking gay faggy and stupid to me that I decided it was dead then and there.

Sean from TheDickShow insisted season 3 was good when it was coming out, so I caught s3e1, and I get the seshuan sauce joke, but I wasn't interested in going any further.

I'm aware that Israel is referenced in some of the episodes and my brother showed me an episode where I noticed Rick said "some stereotypes are based on truth, Morty."
Around this time Andrew Anglin was insisting that the show was based and redpilled.

I spent alot of time since season 2 was out wishing they'd renew Futurama rather than create more Rick and Morty trash. With my wish granted, I am now only more cynical.

>The one where they're locked in the house with the memory-planting shapeshifting aliens

Ironic. That's the episode that made permanently drop the show.

Holy shit I forgot how bad it was

For me it's

nimbus

portal boys

evil morty

And those last 2 were more just for seeing how the longer story arc pays off(it didnt). Season 6 has way more watchable episodes over all

This episode felt like the shark jump, where it just stares in your face how fucking bad it is, even if you hadn't noticed it getting bad before

I feel the same way about Homer Simpson fighting Tony Hawk btw
And Leela getting a singing boil on her ass
And South Park, being South Park, invoking it on PURPOSE with the "everything turns to shit" episode like Matt & Trey are self aware enough that they're literally just begging you to stop watching

2023 when the episodes were all mediocre

Never stopped and probably never will. There was a definitely a shift in how they made their episodes post season 2 so I understand people stopping there but to me there was never a real drop in quality.

Wasn’t that the first season?
