Serious question I’ve been asking since day one is why they didn’t build this in a place like the suburbs of Dallas or Chicago. You could split the middle in your coast to coast vacation destinations and tap into two major regional markets by providing a “taste of Disney” to people who might not have the time or money to go to Florida and California. People in Florida and California would have to choose between the hotel or the park and basically no one outside of those two states would go to the hotel only.

On the other hand its a bit disheartening that the service quality has such a low ceiling everywhere. No wonder billionaires prefer private yachts because at least there you get top class hookers and cocaine.
The psychology behind this is pretty interesting to me. Sitting down and watching a 2 hour movie feels more daunting than binging 4 hours of a show or watching a 4 hour youtube video. I think the reason is that these are all different tiers of emotional investment and attention demand. A movie is generally a concise product wrapped in a self-contained package. You need to give it your rapt attention and know that in those two hours you'll be discovering and ending the story. Meanwhile a TV show requires a little less active attention (commercial breaks, filler, etc), and you know there will be more after this episode is done. There's less of an investment initially, so that 4 hour binge feels less intense.
Then with a youtube video half the time you can just have it on when you're doing chores or something else. There's not really a narrative. It's more like an audio work with visual supplementation, like listening to a "Learn Spanish the Easy Way" cassette during your morning drive.
Its easier to watch because the review is segmented into different categories. So for half an hour she talks about the pricing and how Disney tried to bribe her, then theres half an hour about all the lunches they had.
