New Avengers clear the original Avengers

New Avengers clear the original Avengers.

You know this flopped big when they have to rebrand it like this

Would you eat their cereal? Would they feel like tears and despair?

there's a superhero character just called

U.S. Agent

?

team consists of 3 shitty captain americas and 3 black widows plus a schizo who can't really be in it

great team guys

Yes.

It's not a rebrand they had the asterisk the entire time. New Avengers is a team in the comics.

Yes.

well. all right, then.

New Avengers is a team in the comics.

that features none of these guys

Nope. Still not watching your girlboss slop. We've talked about this.

How much money did it cost to rename the fucking movie and all the merchandise

This is a new team that cares about mental health, buddy. Sure only 1 of 7 can actually try to fight a galactic threat but at least they work for half of Hawkeye's pay.

Black Widow and Bucky were on the team so was Sentry. Also we already know when it comes to MCU shit it's a different universe and they change everything up.

There was no Hawkeye, Captain America, or Black Widow in the original Avengers team but no one ever complained about that.

Watching girlboss slop flop has become a form of entertainment in itself

New Avengers is a team in the comics.

Nazi salute

think her costume needs a second 'S' there.

The New Avengers has always been the B team. That’s literally their thing. They’re not meant to have a line up as strong as the actual Avengers.

The point is that there is a set of New Avengers in the comics and none of them are the Thunderbolts.

Would you rather be led by a black man in Sam Wilson or a white woman in Yelena?

BlackCap solos

I'd rather watch Hollywood collapse into nothing.

That's not the Pymvengers aka the best team

another world ending crisis

the Eternals in the background not doing shit

Why do they even exist?

the fuck an eternal gonna do against void

new Avengerz (with a z) is a Russian team

they finally got an election prediction right

if they had any balls or sense of humor they'd canvas a giant red x over Taskmaster

How we feeling about the Doomsday lineup so far?

movie does slightly better than expected

"uh....a-actually this is the new avengers, not the other guys no one likes"

marvel acts like a desperate pick me girl

We know the Doomsday line up. It’s missing half of the MCU because they’re probably going to be split between the two movies.

Killing Iron Man just because rdj wants out was a mistake.

Captain America joined the original Avengers 4 issues in.

She's not the leader, she's just the protagonist of the film. Bucky is the team leader.

Sam's Avengers are a horrific line-up.
How the FUCK do you get mogged by a fucking B team with a movie that looks like it was made for TV?

How would you have salvaged the MCU

big reveal that most if not all of the post Endgame shows are all happening in a different universe

this explains Eternals being largely absent from the MCU. Or characters like Moon Knight taking forever to connect to another MCU show/movie.

normalization of parallel universe can also be used to explain the absence of X-Men and to a lesser extent the Fantastic Four

now that we find out Moon Knight, She Hulk and Ms Marvel are all in their own universe, it gives the overall multiverse plot line more credibility. Instead of just taking place in Loki, Multiverse of Madness and No Way Home, the multiverse is now a stronger storyline theme

in the end something happens and we mash all the universes together and they properly reboot the MCU so that it takes care of the X-Men/mutants always existing problem. They can also move to retire certain heroes or recast actors that want out of the franchise.

i only know about this character from marvel vs capcom 1

The New Avengers isn't a bad concept, like having a team of misfits who team up as a sort of B-squad, but I legitimately cannot believe they wasted the idea on this stupid fucking movie with these stupid fucking characters.

There are too many Avengers to be honest. They should really place a limit on team members, maybe 6 to 8 of the top guys. Certain people do not need to be Avengers. Doctor Strange for example has never felt like a part of the core group of Avengers in the MCU. They could have him lead the Midnight Sons instead of focus on him as a solo hero. Same with Black Panther. He’s mostly all about Wakanda. He doesn’t really fit the dynamics of the Avengers because he probably does not see these guys as his equals, him being king and all. I think movie fans got used to the assumption that everyone in the MCU is a member of the Avengers by default. But when they introduce new characters, there should not be an expectation that he’ll be an official Avenger. Like if they add Miles Morales he can team up with the Avengers, but people shouldn’t treat him like he’s guaranteed a spot on the core Avengers team.

hell no it was time to retire the og avengers.

Just watched it now and man it was mid as fuck. Like something I'd watch during the summer if I had fuck all to do and only discount matinee prices.

Having three dudes who can tank anything seems a bit redundant in a team.

I watched it a few hours ago and I kinda liked it. I at least found it more endearing than any of the Marvelslop that came out in the last half decade. Sentry is a pretty cool concept although he will break quite a few things story wise. I can tell it's always gonna be some shit with how they have to write him off since they've established that he completely eclipses everyone we've seen. Also it's kinda odd that they were just able to make a guy like him who has pretty much any power he wants? Yelena wasn't as bad as I thought she was gonna be, but she definitely wasn't great either. She really annoyed me a few times and especially in the limo ride where she fucking babbled about some dumb shit I can hardly remember. Walker was pretty cool although he clearly was a cut out of "the asshole" archetype, but I'm glad they didn't completely make him seem like a fool. Everyone else doesn't really seem worth mentioning. If this is the team they're gonna lead with going into the future, I don't exactly mind. It's definitely better than the complete tools that they had otherwise
