what video players do you guys use?
What video players do you guys use?
VLC for life
The road cone and the clapboard.
vlc
easy to use
minimalistic
updates regularly
devs so based that they're apparently non-profit
MPC-HC on desktop, VLC on phone
I barely watch anything anymore, though.
DVD player
vlc for movies, never had any of those tearing problems people talk about. used to use it for music until i had ripped too many CDs and fileshared way too much music to have a coherent library organized so now i just use musicbee and tag shit with musicbrainz picard if it comes out fucked up
Pot player. Auto downloads subtitles or generates. Practically perfect in everyway.
the one that gets you on a list if you mix the letters up
I use a third party app to stream videos from my phone to my roku TV.
MPCHD Black Edition for kino and VLC for every slop file.
yay, another pot player user
tried it out years ago after MPC got split and refuse to play some file, and just stick with them til now
PotPlayer
Easy to switch in and out of HDR, but it's pretty clunky overall. If the HDR thing wasn't as smooth to select it'd be total garbage.
VLC
I usually just use this for ISOs.
MPC-HC with madVR from K-Lite codec pack
2025
codec packs
lol do you download movies off kazaa and emule too?
Basically this. Been using it so long, no need to change now.
It's a convenient one package two clicks install. Faster and easier than downloading and hooking up audio filters and video renderers separately.
this feature has made a lot of movies i've watched improve in quality significantly
VLC, unless it's a 2160p. Then it lags on my toaster unless I use MPV. But I would never make it my main player because the interface is ass.
for me its vlc
potplayer main
mpchc secondary
tried mpv multiple times and just fucking hate it
Used to us CCCP bust it's kaput nowadays.
VLC but i watch everything with jellyfin on my tv.
MPC. i had some issues with VLC so long ago i don't remember what they were, but MPC never failed me.
Windows media player
Quicktime or RealPlayer for .wma and .avi video.
Macromedia Shockwave for .swf content.
For me its Potplayer on windows and mpv on Arch. Best combo ever
mpc-hc just werks
VLC is fugly
mpv is for tryhards
Mpchc
VLC just because I know it makes people mad
using anything other than mpv
This site should have stayed nuked
VLC for playlists, MPV for kino
mpc-hc is obsolete trash
Vaxxed retard tranny
99% of my time Plex on Amazon Fire Stick so I'm guessing just the default android video player
1% of the time scrubbing through pornos for 5-10 minutes in desktop VLC
I use potplay
never had a file it wouldn't play
lots of customization options with great interface
idc about optimal codecs or w/e thigh high sock bullshit
proove it
I used to hate mpv because it seemed too complicated, but eventually ended up switching to it from MPC-HC. I like mpv more, and on reflection I was only upset at my own incompetence.
mpv because it's faster. I heard about vlc's auto-sub so I'm keeping my eyes open for that one, would be very handy to have.
They are based software made by cool people, no console war necessary.
all those vlc replies
