Coruscant date edition

no date today for me

omw to make many money

So, I don't get it, is the galactic empire akin to the holy roman empire?
There is an overall shared culture and laws and currency shared between core worlds, the emperor controls the military, but each planet is independent?

I thought episodes 1 and 2 of this season were fine but holy hell 3 and 4 were terrible. I stopped watching after 4, but it seems to me like this season is shaping up to be a huge disappointment.

They may have gone too far in some places trying to emulate the cheap 70s look

why can I freely skip scenes in this season without losing the plot but couldnt skip one in season 1?

blows up imperial facility in the middle of corosant

just walks away

Not a lot of time left for the Rebels to get their shit together and get a fleet going

It was a dream in her head, no? I really thought so.

Well that's not true you could skip several episodes in s1

They have a fake democratic government just like we do in real life

in a previous episode, the isb dude says the torture doctor was getting a fully funded program, which probably put him back on the rebel radar, so i think it was either a luthen mission, or it was andor helping bix get some closure so they can fuck more.

the scene after Cyril is discovered by the gorman rebels as being a failure cop is followed by an establishing shot of a roasted pig and ends with a pig getting roasted

KINO

half of that comes from the cell bail is babysitting

It's just "The french resistance during ww2 in space" but I'm enjoying it

Mando has a "Liberator" based blaster.

They've got 2 years. And once Mon makes her announcement that forms the Rebel ALLIANCE, a lot of them show up.

That scene left me thinking, if Luthen would have approved the attack, and at first I didn't know; but I realised that after the joke about killing Krennic sending Cassian and Bix to execute the torturer would scratch the same itch.

Nah, like other things "not Star Wars" this too also has a basis in demonstrating that being poor still fucking sucks in sci fi
The airbrushed poverty in Phantom Menace pales in comparison despite Anakin's mom literally being a slave living in a hovel

"hahaha we sure showed them"

both are probably going to die

>blows up imperial facility in the middle of corosant

>just walks away

"Cool guys don't look at explosions... they blow things up and they walk away.."

Cyril is gonna lose his shit once he finds he is directly responsible for the Ghorman rebels acquiring a shit ton of weapons and attacking the armory.
Remember in Season 1 his entire arc started because the Empire was willing to sweep under the rug the killing of 2 guards.

Cereal is definitely getting put on Death Star Janny duty when he fucks up again

He's either gonna go on a suicide run against the ISB or kill himself.

I think he will be shook when the Troopers start blasting protesters on Ghorman soon

a Coruscant bodega

reminds me of Dax's Diner.
where's the Coruscant analog for Blockbuster Video and the galactic analog for Chipotle?
I want to see something from "A Galaxy far far away...", not a palette swap of NYC.

Something similar to this will be his last scene, I'm almost sure of it

I find the concept of a wagecuck autist going anti-imperial because they're not following due process extremely funny

3 more days until the next arc and more memes :`)

plot twist when Kleya is revealed to be Leia undercover

>plot twist when Kleya is revealed to be Leia undercover

Interesting idea, but Kleya/Leia would be about 16 at this time. The age seems just a little off.

she's already doing shit in Rebels at this point for bail but not to the scale/intensity that kleya does for her job.

the fanboy circlejerk on plebbit would love this

Kleya rhymes with Leia

The fucking amount of pottery if that happens

I know she is. I'm just saying that Kleya's responsibilities at her legitimate job, and her knowledge of art make me think she's older than that.

>plot twist when Kleya is revealed to be Leia undercover

the fanboy circlejerk on plebbit would love this

Or when it's revealed that her full name is Dutchess Kleya Morgana of Palderon. Her parents were Mannequin Spytalker from Klaatueen and Baroness Madpea Tomidala from Napu. She has a secret twin brother named Lucas I. Walker.

help the rebellion? the WHAT?

825536395.png - 1080x1742, 747.43K

Thank you for sharing your shit taste

1-3 were the weaker ones though, with shitty slapstick "comedy" and idiot kids in the woods

kek

I really wouldn't trust any of these people to be ready to blow up the Death Star. They're so petty.

??? nigga
He knows that them acquiring the weapons was the whole point of the OP, he just doesn't know what the ISB's endgame is.

I'm having the same problem.
Not sure what happened.

Incorrect. He will lose his shit when the actual massacre happens and when he learns that all of it was a ruse kept in secret from him, he was lied to, only to get materials for the death star. Syril will defect.

Yeah I took the cringe at the end of the scene to not be because the plan failed but because he got the driver killed

Driver was not killed. He was electroshocked, incapacitated.

well, andor turned into bullshit, this is last season right?

mind focused on profit

The real question: is that a helmet

More like a mix of the Old Roman Empire with aspects of modern China and India's caste system due to sheer population and obvious alien cultures. But what hampers all of the SW universe is a 25000 y/o technological stagnation.

Maybe I'm a speedwatcher- what part doesn't Cyril know about the operation? When he talks to Partagaz it seems like he knows they want them to succeed. How has he not pieced it together that they want a false flag?

Things I LOVE - the lipstick isn’t lipstick, it’s eyeshadow so it’s a really matte lip and the makeup around her eyes is not supposed to be makeup at all, but rather markings on her skin. What a mystery

Imagine if she was a Clawdite

In his mind this is an unbroken chain of events from the murder on Morlana, and he is unraveling a vast criminal conspiracy with the help of the Imperial FBI

It has not crossed his mind that the ISB have different motivations and no one has yet breathed a word about "arrest quotas" to him

he does not know about the kalkite, and that the Ghorman rebellion must be brought into existence to be crushed etc

Are you retarded?

star wars now

the bad guys are glowniggers giving mehmet fake explosives

The jury is still out on whether the weapons are real or not, but still the six week cycle has to keep cycling

do you think she's still fertile

You are, indeed, a speedwatcher. It was literally explicitly said, that Dedra and Partagaz just use him. Syril is a man of integrity and honesty. When he finds out he was lied to, used like a tool, and massacre of entire people was unjustified and fabricated from start to finish - with him being the one who unwittingly helped orchestrate it - he will flip.

narrow path.jpg - 3840x2160, 833.04K

he thinks he's there to stop a rebellion, when in reality he's there to start one

why

based Korone gets the scoop

Accordingly, Saw Gerrera's name is a "mnemonic riff" on real-life Argentinian revolutionary and associate of Castro - Che Guevara as revealed in The Art of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Lucasfilm Story Group's Kiri Hart was the one who suggested that the character be used in Rogue One

so what are mon's husband and the pimp scheming?

jej cassian was right
the ghormans too new, moving too fast
now cinta's dead, why would luthen offer more help? she was an experienced operative
burn bright indeed

Vel's still there, so her mission continues

This season got a lot better once I started skipping all the non-imperial scenes.

Will his classical Shakespearean training catapult him to further success among the Lucas Disney brand?

I really didnt like these new 3 episodes.
There just pretending to be set in france during ww2 with bad spy stuff going on.

Bix is obsessed with the doctor guy who doesn't even remember her. For him it was just tuesday.

They then go against orders and break into a military complex were the doc is, risk showing their faces, leave finger prints etc, kill a guard in cold blood who could of had a family, blow the building up which will of had innocent people inside it. This will draw attention to themselves which is the opposite of what the 3 episodes kept banging on about.
I'm actually starting to think Krenic is right and that they are just terrorists that need to be put down.

Then is the stupid shit with pajeet smelly lesbian Indian woman dying and her angry ex shouting at a straight white man about how great she was.
Did she just forget she murdered a guy, his wife and sick child?

They then go against orders and break into a military complex

who says those weren't the orders given by Luthen? The beacon was on before the doctor kill, so the implication would be that he ordered/helped with it

Bix is obsessed with the doctor guy who doesn't even remember her. For him it was just tuesday.

This makes sense, tho. "The axe forgets. But the tree remembers."
It is also strongly implied that it was Lonny (who works for Luthen) who leaked the info about Gorst and the facility that Navy donated to him. It's all just rushed as fuck, and you have to make a lot of assumptions and connect the dots yourself. It doesn't make sense what the fuck was Gorst doing there alone at night with a little cake (???) in the torture room.

How will Bix die?
Any guesses?

it's very compressed but it reads well imo. Gorst is there because he's a little freak

Then is the stupid shit with pajeet smelly lesbian Indian woman dying and her angry ex shouting at a straight white man about how great she was.

She's literally shouting at a stupid kid that was told to not bring any guns because none of the Ghormans have any experience with guns and it would just be a liability. And lo and behold the exact reason why they weren't trusted with guns happened in the worst way possible. Andor was right that the Ghormans weren't anywhere near ready to be pulling off shit like this. They're a bunch of textile workers and business men with literally zero weapons handling experience. Hell if anything the kid got off light with just getting yelled at. If this was Saw's unit, he'd have been executed and tossed off the truck.

drug overdose

random non-dramatic death for shock value

What is Mon's problem with the empire? Her planet is doing well comparatively, and she's fabulously wealthy. Is it just liberal guilt?

She's white enough to think about the future.

Pretty sure these are filmed here:
51°31'14.3"N 0°05'36.5"W

Literally liberal guilt. She's a principled pro-democracy politician that believes in rights and the vague concept of freedom, but ultimately doesn't want to do anymore then just resetting things to being a republic with no real plan on how to prevent another Palpatine from doing the same thing again in the future. In the old EU after the New Republic is established and democracy has returned to most of the galaxy (except ofc in the Imperial Remanent) she literally goes back to being a normal, if less corrupt then the usual, politician. In Disney canon she's literally one of the voices that had the New Republic demilitarize with disastrous results.

The cyril plot makes no sense. The empire are drilling for minerals. They already arrest people for fun. Why would they need to stage this? Its over complicated to the point of being retarded. They're destroying the planet anyway. I thought the whole point of empire is that they're lazy.

Yeah, I kinda agree. Empire is long, long past its point of moral event horizon. They have committed hundreds of millions of atrocities at this point. So all of this feels like over-plotting for the sake of it. I guess you could rationalize it that Ghorman is a core world that is well known and wealthy, and it would be different from the literal hell that they do on the outer rim planets? But it's still flimsy. Come on. We are 2 years away from them blowing up a Senate planet-member as a demonstration.

Does Star Wars look a little too earth-like in Andor? Haven't seen it, but it doesn't look at exotic as the movies.

Why would they need to stage this?

They covered this in the first episode of this season speedwatcher

Does Star Wars look a little too earth-like in Andor?

Yes, absolutely. Just compare establishing shots of Naboo, or any other prequel planet, with Chandrilla/Ghorman. The former is exotic, different, and tells us all we need to know about the planets, while the latter looks no different from each other.

Luthen was so paranoid in season one he had the Indian girl assassinate Andor. In this he has Andor and Bix blow up a navy facility. Which only a handful of people in the empire would know about.

Naboo is literally Italy

I think I just realized my main problem with Andor. I still love the show and its miles ahead of anything that Disney has released but it just feels too human and too grounded. You could have the events of the two seasons take place in a single planet and nothing would be different. The scope feels too small, and given Gilroy's thoughts about including Aliens in a more active role, it really highlights the lack of potential the series could have. It doesn't feel like a conflict that's affecting the whole galaxy. Maybe its a matter of picking a lane and staying on it so that the story is focused. However, for example, not even getting a snippet of Mon Calamari or their involvement, is really disappointing. 5 years also doesn't feel like a very long time for the escalation and preparation for the rebels to be where they were at in Rogue One and A New Hope. The humanistic grounded approach that Gilroy has taken on the series really devalues the potential of Star Wars, in my opinion. It can be a bit on the nose as well with Ghorman and how its basically just another theme planet that closely resembles real life with their stereotypical french underground rebellion.

I really do feel like people should temper their expectations for the next two arcs. I don't expect any big battles or any sort of meaningful action packed moments since it seems Gilroy will just be like "Its supposed to tie to Rogue One, so you'll get your big climax battle there". Its a shame really, hopefully in the future we might get a series that delves more in to different aspects of the formation of the rebellion.

If the writing was good this season, she would've overdosed.

based bbc poster

I don't really need a big climax for the show.
I wouldn't hate a Saw Gerrera raid in action though, like small scale x-wing fight against a some minor base to steal stuff.

who says those weren't the orders given by Luthen

The fact that luthen was telling him to keep his head down for one thing?
Him hiding them both in an area with a safe house?
Andor trying to hide his face all the time?
Andor killing someone just for looking at bix?
You've heard the saying 'never shit on your own doorstep' which is what Andor is doing and something luthen would NOT approve of.

You think its smart to get the Empire upset on a planet which your hiding on?
That increasing patrols is what they want?
That having 2 bomb criminals being hunted down is what he wants?

You understand what laying low and undercover means yeah?

Its piss poor writing at its worst.
Why is the building so poorly guarded that she can just walk in through the front door, use the elevator and get into the doctors office?
Shes obsessed with a guy who doesn't even remember who she is.

Incredible truly incredible.
Standing applause.
Amazing how the ugly dyke chose to shout at the weak willed white guy and NOT the big muscular guy who gave no fucks and who's ACTUAL fault it was smelly indian girl died.
Could it be because if she gave her speech to him he would of just given her the finger like the way he did in the previous episode?
Big angry french dude got involved, he messed about and got curry girl killed but feminist woman cant complain at him because he would most likely laugh at her

dial up chromatic aberration to 11 to make it more real

It looks good in the TIE hangar, but not in the corn fields.

It's definitely suffering from forcing everything into one season.

Hunting down Gorst should have been it's own arc.

Filoni on suicide watch

However, for example, not even getting a snippet of Mon Calamari or their involvement, is really disappointing.

Oh yeah that's a bit of a shame too.
I would've loved seeing Mon Mothma(or Bail Organa more realistically) talk to the fish heads.

Even like, Andor stealing some materials that he delivers to them.

japan is lost! THEY'RE LOST!

Andor is slop for midwits who believe they have elevated/cultured tastes n preferences. It's a performative farce, all around.

Is that Ghlub Shitto?

is this show cannon

Saw's story needs to focused on for sure. We really haven't gotten anything about how he ends up as a hermit in that one planet and so far, it just looks like he goes crazy out of nowhere and fucks off.

Not really.

Examining the established shots of Chandrila and Ghorman, we see they're Earth-like worlds but we have little indication of the culture of the society. Now compare to the establishing shots of Theed and Otoh Gunga. They're otherworldly and we instantly grasp the culture.

Even when we get to ground-level on the worlds in Andor it's hard to gain real insight into their cultures. We learn all about Chandrilan arranged marriage customs, and the people on Ghorman sound French and applaud weird, but can we deeply feel the unique soul of the peoples?

I'm sure the production designers made an effort to distinguish Chandrila from Ghorman architecturally, but right at this moment I cannot visualize the differences for the life of me. I don't think Ghorman strongly *feels* like anything apart from Chandrila.

It doesn't matter how high-quality the sets look if there isn't a keen aesthetic and anthropological vision like Lucas's to back them up. They look impressive in the moment but they easily fall out of memory. It's not something you can buy. Lucas was inimitably good at this.

The visual aesthetics of Naboo doesn't just shout wealth. It communicates artistic and intellectual refinement, and harmony with the natural world. It is perfectly reflective of Padme's inner qualities.

It's also weird of you to say it's "just Italy." It's clearly not. If this was Andor, Naboo people would speak some gibberish Italian, wear some Italian clothes and eat Pizza. Because that's what space-France Ghorman in Andor was like: speak gibberish French, wear French beanies and trench coats, eat croissants and drink coffee in the street-cafes, and they make fashion clothes. And they are also literally French resistance during WW2, in case you didn't get!

When ever they do space stuff or you see a trooper. My brain is like yeah imagine we had some actual cool shit along with this. Imagine we had a band of brothers style series.

Forceagh withyouagh Gaijanu sonu

Tony Gilroy drops Santiago Calatrava architecture into the Coruscant landscape even though it's completely at odds with the aesthetic of the planet. Lucas incorporated Calatrava-inspired architecture into the design of Utapau, where it reflects the unique qualities of the world.

What Gilroy does here doesn't even require any vision. He's just photographing the work of one of the most well-known living architects and jarringly inserting it into an environment others before him had to actually design.

He's not only unable to conceptualize environments that rise anywhere close to the standard set by Lucas, he actively degrades the few environments he inherits, because he doesn't understand what goes into it.

Andor lets go to the park

No Bitch we can't, there are cameras there

Andor you bastard! You won't let me go to the park and we killed a soldier in a war where we have already killed hundreds! I was raped!

Bitch, we have to kill people to win the war

Andor you don't understand, we are the spark that lights the flame of the fire that lights the resistance. We have to sacrifice everything to win.

WHY DOES SHE GO FROM BERATING HIM ABOUT GOING TO THE PARK AND THEN BERATING HIM FOR NOT MAKING SACRIFICES. THIS IS DOG SHIT WRITING.

really? Mando himself, or is there one int he series? I wanna see.

syril reminds me of dale cooper here

Chandrila looks like an eagle's nest, with terraces leading up to the main building.
Ghorman looks like Space Marseille with all European stereotypes like narrow roads, frog language.
How would you have made it more distinctive with the given time and budget?

im surprised the chuds haven't cried about Ghorman city being in the shape of a star

If you color grade the Andor shots in the same dramatic way, Chandrila could be a suburb of Theed.

will Star Slop EVER move past the OT trilogy timeline?

honestly
those places from closest to something on earth, to furthest is
Theed>Ghorman>Chandrila>Otoh Gungah

I've walked in Theed, I recognize Ghorman at least from above, but not on the street level, Chandrila looks strange and I don't recognize it, and Otoh Gungah is obviously fantastical.

will Star Slop EVER move past the OT trilogy timeline?

we tried that, and it didnt work out well

Chandrilla = Switzerland, mountain with rich people and wind instrument

Ghorman = France

What is so hard to get

when? prequels and sequels are still in the same timeline

Chandrila reminded me of the Katarn family estate on Sulon from that one mission.

tmmm.jpg - 938x804, 116.3K

They both look utterly unremarkable and bland from the first glance. Chandrilla might as well be Tython from Mandalorian S2. Unlike Naboo. Or dozens of other planets in the prequels, that had only few scenes of screentime - yet they were all visually distinct and told a story without hours of runtime and $600million budget. They look bland, boring, sterile, and too IRL.

ROTS Planets.jpg - 3840x1608, 1.54M

Sorry, I don't play merchandise videogames for (man)children, so that tells me nothing.

Season 2 is pretty disappointing so far.
Its Disney so I expected them to ruin it after a great first season

Alderaan is also pretty faceless to me. It's those barely established normie planets. They have to exist too. Not everyone can have two suns or giant moons in the sky or lava lakes.

I would love to see a Star Wars film or show set in the ancient times where all the ships look flash gordon-esq

kino

What would realistically happen if they gave him command of a stardestroyer?

After his convo with Luthen, it's apparent that "fixing" Bix is top priority for Cassian.

flask guy would be second in command.

id watch an entire show about them running a star destroyer together

tutu9tu9re.jpg - 555x543, 36.43K

I love Alderaan. It looks super comfy, and still very distinct from every other planet. Lucas managed to make every place feel epic, grand, larger than life, fantastical and distinct. Something that Disney Star Wars struggles with.

Alderaan.jpg - 3840x1608, 1.3M

lol this looks beyond terrible
Why are they in a WW2 halftrack? Why the fuck is that spaceship flying so fucking slow while those guys just sit there getting smoked

I can't be believe I'm defending the fucking mouse
but the ring world from Book of Boba was pretty kino.

Its a shame every show isnt as real as andor

I believe in people floating around in chairs arguing about pointless bullshit before sending in religious nuts with laser swords to resolve the issue.

Because that is democracy.

I don't think we're getting kino episodes this time around

file.jpg - 3840x2160, 1.03M

CASSIAN ANDOR

It doesn't have a proper amount of detail either, for Star Wars. Barely any texture. Boring shape. It needs some kind of fantastical flare. Disney is committing new atrocities now with the franchise. Turning Star Wars ultra mundane with an assortment of shallow parallels to real life, along with the usual wokie religion propaganda. Hey didn't ya know bigot, that Star Wars was akshually like all those historical revisionist WW2 movies that come out every year that nobody watches, isn't that exciting. So here's your copy-pasted archaic WW2 vehicles. Enjoy it fucker. They're committed to the bad gimmick. It's sickening.

Isn't that the scout troopers boot blaster

Did they ever explain why they needed to spend a year baiting legitimate Ghorman resistance groups into raiding Imperial troops and making PR mistakes, instead of just using false flag tactics with an ISB cell committing terrorist activities?
The writing in this season feels really dumb, but then again I didn’t think that season 1 was anything special either.

it could be like a star wars version of TNG lol

Mike would literally cum his pants

789784478.jpg - 301x375, 13.17K

It's been shown that Ghorman has a secretive and pretty snobbish culture, they're not fuckin geniuses but they would still be able to sniff out some false flag bullshit in literal seconds. You couldn't sell it, they would know it's the empire, which would be a fucking disaster if it goes wrong. Ghorman is prominent in the galaxy even without the calcite, that's why it requires a very delicate strategy.

ISB doesn't have a large presence on Ghorman like Partagaz said.
Dedra says she wants an insurgency, that implies a bit more than a one off false flag, which I think would not be that believed, like a bunch of ISB operative wearing local clothes landed on the planet and spoke french with english accents, yeah I don't think so.
Anything the empire does that looks wrong, bolsters the rebellion, which is why they don't just start genociding the ghormans from the get go.
This is perfectly reasonable, there are other real complaints about the show, but this isn't it.

the series needs some at's and st's i need more science and tech stuff less lesbian feminism fashion show dei slop

krole the conqueror

ha.png - 61x74, 13.56K

Do people like Krennic who visit the emperor on a regular basis know that he is no ordinary human? Do people actually make eye contact or is he still playing the I got disfigured card? At some point, especially in Gilroy's Star Wars, people must have realized that Palpatine is fucking nuts.

Except they’re not doing this for the benefit of neutral Ghorman bystanders. We’ve been shown that most Ghormans are fed up with the empire’s presence already. This is to justify punitive actions against Ghormans to the other planets in the empire, who are gullibly eating up anti-Ghorman propaganda as we’ve seen from Syril’s mother. It wouldn’t take any convincing at all for those people to believe that these were the acts of “arrogant, snobbish” Ghorman radicals “who think they’re better than the rest of us”.
The empire isn’t trying to win a PR battle on Ghorman - they already know the end-game is to deport or genocide all Ghormans. They just want it to look the Ghormans deserved it to the rest of the empire.

First episode

Cereal is aged up like 20 years

in charge of a imperial vessel with his Ferrix buddies

still a doofus

he's awkward but does some menial work sorting things out

it's actually by the time of the battle of endor

he and his crew are sped through a tribunal after

they've basically done nothing really that bad and are just rehabilitated and switch uniforms and sent off to keep on working

Cereal is a bit in shock to learn the emperor is a bad guy

ISB doesn't have a large presence on Ghorman like Partagaz said.

So what? They’ve had a year to implants some assets. Currently Dedra’s plan was: “just hope the Ghorman front makes contact with Syril because he said some nice things about us to his mom”, and that took a year.

it would be the most joe navy supersat command in the entire navy

Yeah seems like it took them a year to plant their asset Syril

Anon Babble hating andor because it shoots on real locations is peak midwit

It wouldn’t take any convincing at all for those people to believe that these were the acts of “arrogant, snobbish” Ghorman radicals

Yeah it would.
They're already shown to be bad enough at convincing other worlds.
That's how you have rebels.
In fact they're so bad, that Empire loses.
If you were at the table at the Maltheen Divide then maybe the empire would've been crushed as early as Scariff.

Just send ISB assets to blow up some shit. They don’t need to infiltrate or even subvert the current Ghorman resistance.
Of course, Ghormans will say it’s a false flag, but rest of the empire already lapping up anti-Ghorman propaganda will go “yeah of course the Ghormans would say it’s not them. I hope the empire kills them all.”
Meanwhile, Dedra just sat around waiting for a year on the offchance that the Ghormans would make contact with Syril.

Anon Babble likes andor tho

second in command tries to hide his flash drinking from the crew and it goes badly

Syril gives another speech to the crew that doesn't go as expected

still seething about andor from 20 years ago

how do you hide your disappointment without sounding mad?

dedra.jpg - 918x800, 90.79K

Cyril and deadra have caused two different massacres on two different planets

this time they fucked up where Sheev was getting his threads from

high level elites complained to palps and he shows up

shreds ceral into meat with the force then shitblasts daedra with gore for always causing so much shit

thats why she's flipping out in the safe room

palpatine is already aware of the ghorman mission to benefit the death star.

This is all leading up to blowing Ghorman anyways and forcibly deporting or genociding its population. The empire losing face anyways and will take a hit to its population, regardless of whether the violent resistance on Ghorman was legitimate or not. This is all just a farce for those on other worlds to be less shocked, and those on Coruscant adled on imperial propaganda will eat it up.

I love how they are starting to use horns unlike in season 1 as we get closer to the heroic sacrifice of these characters leading to rouge one.

Look at us. Unloved. Hunted. Cannon fodder. We’ll all be gone before the Republic comes back, and yet here we are.

This is all leading up to blowing Ghorman anyways and forcibly deporting or genociding its population.

Yeah, and how it's done and viewed matters.
The Rebellion gets strength from discontentment with the empire, how brutal the empire is and more importantly, appears to be.
Put very simply, if the Rebellion in the canon timeline gets a strength of 1 after Ghorman, then if Ghorman worked perfectly according to Dedra's plan, it would be 1-X, dream scenario, it is seen as a good thing, the empire rescued ghormans from an unstable planet while destroying a remnant separatists and jedis who were hiding there plotting to stop the Twilek slave trade, and if everything goes perfectly according to Luthen the Rebellion gets a strength of 1+Y, it's a needless atrocity, those on Coruscant addled on imperial propaganda can't even deny it.

what's red one?

many Bothans died to bring us this banger

god I hope there's a scene where Saw huffs some rhydo with some bothan lads

I guess I’m most bothered that Dedra and Partagaz put all of their eggs in one basket, hoping that the Syril situation would work out and that the resistance would be emboldened. There should have been a plan B to take matters into their own hands, especially when Syril was being so passive and just hoping that the Resistance would try to bring him in. It’s made even worst when you realize that if the Ghormans had brought on something like Cassian earlier (or any other advisor from Axis), who knows that the ISB frequently tries to pass on false information, they would’ve never brothered with Syril.

just because they don't mention a plan B doesn't mean they don't have one you know

I guess I’m most bothered that Dedra and Partagaz put all of their eggs in one basket,

Yeah that's fair.

i hope we get rule 34 of saws clothes melting off from the rhydo surrounded by all the sweaty men in the labor camp

Lots of legacy studios are exploring streaming as an avenue for marketing since TV doesn't really work anymore. Sometimes it results in bizarre shit like that. I recently saw Rami Malek do a spot to promote his movie on a youtube channel that's just about geogesser, a game where you guess a location based on a google street view.

That's the point, Luthen wants Ghormans to die spectacularly to cause a public outrage. If a lesbian or two die during the mission, so be it

imagine geoguessr in something like star wars
coruscant-only mode or having to find the right planet, right continent, right city, etc

Bix taking out Dr Gorst felt like a scene from another Star Wars show. Cinta dies in the most mundane way possible while Bix get her revenge complete with blowing up the place without looking

not!French rebels are unloading weapons from the hijacked imperial truck

guy from the townhall who was railing against the empire shows up

tries to push his way through to the truck as if he’s upset they hijacked imperial transport

gets in a scuffle with the idiot resistance fighter

Wat
Why did they have a scene of him earlier where he clearly showed his distaste towards his empire if he was going to try to tussle with resistance fighters later?

I know they’re unprofessional and idiotic, but this feels it could have been resolved with a “we’re hijacking an imperial truck but go away now”.

He's mad there's stuff happening in his neighborhood in which he's not involved

have a (You)

I will make her fertile.

Will Sheev appear?

I doubt it, the only place he could in theory, show up is one of the mon motha senate scenes.

who do you think makes my robes Krennic

Emperor.. we need the kalkite for rea-

Then use Synthetic Kalkite. Kalkite Alternatives, Kalkite Substitutes.

It's fan service, but I wouldn't mind a palace scene, seeing how he's changed the jedi temple.

Who knows. I don't think the magic space wizard fits into Gilroy Star Wars.

they're not going to build that set and hire Ian McD for one scene

what if they scanned his likeness with their deepfake machine? He probably signed those gag contracts 20 years ago.

imagine taking this much pride in being retarded

It was globohomo UN fag world government that then got taken over by Hitler

huh

The Liberator Shotgun would be even better, it already looks like a blaster

Andors girlfriend is a drug addict and will die soon
Luthen is getting sloppy
The plot revolves around space France and spiders
Deedra get's laid and does pretty much nothing else

This season fucking sucks.

Luthen has to go, how else do you explain Mon Mothma and Bail Organa running the show by New Hope? Not to mention Stellan's not cheap

Is Luthen running the rebellion? I took it he's just another cog in the machine. General Dodona and Madine are also important.

They could just keep him as a shadowy background character who runs Alliance Intelligence during the rebellion,
More likely he'll go out in a blaze of glory this season though. If he was around after Endor when Disney Mon Mothma proposed to disband the New Republic Military he would have shot her on the spot.

Someone went for looks instead of function on one of the easiest homemade guns to make.
I'm not impressed.

Just watched Rogue one
This show is missing a lot of what gave the film momentum it needs to speed up it feels like a giant bottle episode
Is this a budget issue?

Executive meddling
They're not allowed to touch anything set in stone and rumor has it aren't allowed to use existing IP (aliens and planets already seen on screen)

Doubt Dodonna is involved at this point, and I don't think Madine is that important. Luthen clearly bosses Mon Mothma around, so she still needs some time to become this war leader we see in the OT
The overall moral of Luthen's story is, that while he gets some results with his questionable actions, he's too extreme to be considered a good guy. Keeping him alive validates his actions, which in turn makes the entire Alliance look like Al Qaeda

The same would happen if you cut down Lawrence of Arabia into 12 separate pieces. Some would be happy about more room to breathe, others would just find it boring. Disney has to figure out how to make their episodes interesting again and not feel like filler.

That makes sense. That being said they are doing a fucking fantastic job for what they are doing. Gorgeous sets (minus the bricks and screws) good special effects, nice fights the battles are short and small but appealing, the costumes are beautiful, music is rizzed up.
What you said explains it perfectly. I understand the Amazon production for The Lord of the Rings had issues with no access to similiarilian or whatever it is called, nor of the other books, so weird pigeonholing of lore.

You know, Andor is rather mild.

and there are still people who say that the emperor would never condone rape but blowtorching civilians is okay

BC in SW feels unnecessary.

Vader wouldn't tolerate that shit nor does the empire condone it.

It has no place in Star War. Period. Unnecessary.

aren't allowed to use existing IP (aliens and planets already seen on screen)

Disney owns the entirety of the IP so these "rumors" are obviously bullshit. This is not a licensed product, its a show made by and produced by Lucasfilm/Disney, the rights holders of the entirety of Star Wars IP. Also the show features plenty of aliens and planets we've seen, like, y'know, Coruscant.

The rumor started much earlier than Andor, with the sequel movies straight up blowing up planets and famous characters getting killed
The rumor tries to explain this by claiming they owe Lucas royalties any time the actual IP gets used

I mean, the Mandalorian show even has him using a disintegrator on Jawas. Meanwhile a New Hope has charred corpses and mass-executions of Jawas.

Again, thats not how that works. Also its nonsensical. Take 'famous characters getting killed' as an excuse not to pay royalties but then we still see those characters appear in 7, 8, and 9, in Mandalorian, in comics, video games, etc... Sure they killed Luke but Luke is still there as a force Ghost and as a de-aged version across Disney's productions - according to this "rumor" does that mean George doesn't get paid? Also the planet blown up in Force Awakens was created FOR the movie. Disney era shows and movies have not shied from using Lucas' stuff at all.

Please put some level of thought into this. It makes no sense in any way.

almost got the cute blonde tradwife in a calm farming planet

Now he is huffing gas fumes

I hate the empire

You've been granted governship over a planet by the Emperor.
Not a core world, low population and you need to take in settlers, but it's yours.
Who do you let into your ethnostate, what kind of planet is it and how do you run it?

Really makes you think if Beru was raped in front of Owen.

I don't take in settlers. Only twilek sex slaves.

good thing hosnian prime, kijimi, jedha, and scarif were all disney star wars planets and not existing ones then. blowing them up means nothing

You are legit retarded anon. Did your brain forget all of Lucas creations in

the entire sequel trilogy (every living OG character, even after they died...)

Mandalorian (young Luke, Naboo starfighter, corusant, etc...)

Kenobi, Vader, Emperor in Kenobi show

Anakin in Ahsoka show

And the list goes on and on

knock up some redneck white trash

flee from the authorities

hang up with criminals

end up huffing gas

He's just the average basketball-american.

You "people" are fucking pathetic shilling this God awful show

I'll give you ilum/starkiller base since that existed before disney but I forgot about it at the time

There are certain restrictions when they are outsourcing vidya production to 3rd parties. That's why the latest Star Wars gaems couldn't show us any universe altering relevations, and I'm sure there are restrictions in place to what they can do with A New Hope, but that's not stopping them from what the (((rumor))) is suggesting.

Examining the established shots of Chandrila and Ghorman, we see they're Earth-like worlds but we have little indication of the culture of the society. Now compare to the establishing shots of Theed and Otoh Gunga.

In Andor those shots are always shot at a distance which makes the architecture much less distinct, if the establishing shots were closer it'd be much easier to give them distinguishing features.

HEADS WILL ROLL
HEADS WILL ROLL
HEADS WILL ROLL
ON THE FLOOR

Reminder all nu wars is faggot shit

posts like this will surely convince them how wrong they are.

Only Corellian men and twi-lek wives. Focus on producing pod-racers, luxury ships and high-end blasters.

Why is this piece of generic garbage shilled so damn hard?

one (1) thread in the catalog

Why are you even here? it's not like you will prevent us from watching Andor kek

I don't know anon, I fear if he posts three times in the next thread too I will break and give up on the show

You are so fucking dense, I can't even be bothered typing anything else, you're not worth any more of my time.

Andor is slop for midwits who believe they have elevated/cultured tastes n preferences. It's a performative farce, all around.

t. seething Filonifag wolf-fucker

Andor

The first season was pretty good but so far (as of S02E04 for me) it's been boring and the show runners went full-Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Shilled hard

one general

dang, the autistic paleo twink called it

Trey.png - 590x496, 137.58K

This entire show is genuinely soulless dogshit. And season 2 is significantly worse than season 1 somehow. It's not Star Wars at all, everything about it is abysmally low quality, uninspired garbage.

Wasn't the first season released during the Biden presidency when no thought Trump would return
but

somehow he has returned...

so now the showrunners have to show everyone how much they RESIST at the expense of the storytelling.

and is the black slit the eye holes or the mouth?

Season 1 had two or three decent episodes, but this season is legitimately unwatchable trash. Nothing Star Wars or science fiction about it, the hacks that made this pointless generic French resistance ripoff shit deserve to be killed for it fr

Luke, did I ever tell you about Exogol? It's a Sith world, deep in the Unknown Regions. A place of darkness. The Emperor... Palpatine. He isn't just a mere human being, Luke. He is a powerful master of the Force, steeped in the dark side. He delves into unnatural secrets. He has created clones of himself. So even if we strike him down, his essence could transfer to another body waiting on Exogol. And as if that isn't enough, a hidden fleet of thousands of Star Destroyers is being built there, even as we speak. And he was a good friend.

fren.jpg - 602x256, 13.98K

I've never seen such an officially branded product that looks and feels so entirely inauthentic and non-canon as this bland disaster. Nothing about it is aesthetically, stylistically, or tonally consistent with Star Wars. Not even Rogue One, the Star Wars movie it is supposed to be a spinoff from. Embarassing job even by modern Disney standards.

I like the little dude walking webm. He looks Star Wars-ish. His face or helmet vaguely looks like Leia's bounty hunter disguise from RoTJ. Or he could be an orange Pepe man.

That scene really threw me off. It looks like they dropped a chunk of Earth in front of the senate building.

What are the gach rates on that planet?

It's jarring every single time he does it. This show is nothing but barely disguised locations in London. Uninspired, lazy prick.

He cute. Still it’s annoying that 100% of the alien species in this show are from disney era. Give me an occasional rodian or something niggas

I came in this thread to checkout if you were actually still discussing it or if the discussion had died down after the first few days and this was just shitposting. The tailend of this thread seems like one or two anons samefagging, and I don't get the motivation for doing so - particularly those that hate the show. This many days after release it is a pretty dead general until anons come back just before and in the days after the next arc is dropped. So beyond you just blowing steam, there is hardly anyone reading your posts.

a hidden fleet of thousands of Star Destroyers is being built there

why did he keep them for AFTER the rebels won and declared a new republic?

harmony with the natural world.

marble buildings and statues

angular streets

royal palace in certainly non-Byzantione/Ottoman architecture

harmony

Sure

but can we deeply feel the unique soul of the peoples?

Actually yeah. Take for example what we've seen in Chandrilla.
Ceremonial gift of antlers before bride's doorstep is reflects original hunter shepherd tradition of ancient chandrillans, which correlates with mountain landscape and next tradition: ceremonial hike. Which leads to source of inspiration for dresses, Japan and Ancient Rome/Greece (remember that massive farming like latifundium, wasn't natural roman way of life, they learned it from Carthage once Rome become large enough)
Another tradition, maiden braids, looks exactly like Jedi padawan braids, which emphasize how actually old Chandrilla's history that they share (or was a source) customs with one of the oldest institutions in Star Wars Universe, Jedi Order.
Meanwhile gungans?

just an aliens who speaks funny

I believe that Sheev had a deep connection to the force pretty early on. He had visions of the galaxy being invaded from the outside by a terrible enemy that cannot be reasoned with. To Sheev, only a strong galaxy would have a chance of survival. That's how the Empire was initially designed for, but Sheev got corrupted shortly after and things got out of hand.

25.jpg - 355x400, 59.14K

she'll be raped and murdered by dexter jettster

This pathetic failure of a show is just going to rip off Breaking Bad and have her overdose on drugs that Luthen gives her, and he'll refuse to save her life while Cassian isn't there. Tony Gilroy is worse than a hack.

so what is rhydo ? just some gas ?

rocketfuel

starship fuel

Just another case of the retarded faggots behind this show not remembering that space ship fuel in Star Wars is called coaxium.

we have more than one kind of fuel on earth and yet you expect all fuel in all of star wars to be one thing?

Why wasn't force senstitive Sheev discovered by the Jedi military police? Ahsoka was turned over to the Order as soon as they discovered her powers, and she was living on some backwater rice farmer planet, Sheev was born on Naboo.

When did you first realize that Dedra was Andor's sister all along?

Actually we don't. It's all made from the same thing just in different concentrations for different engine types. But go off retard kun.

her family/community narced on her to the jedi

Just another case of a chud being retarded

t. Andor can find a hot girlfriend. What's your excuse?

coaxium powers the hyperdrives, rydonium powers the fusion engines.

NTA but I believe the lore is he was born to a wealthy Naboo family and when he was tested for force sensitivity his father bribed people to fake the results so no one would find out.

Did he just not want to go or was he already starting to fall to the dark side by then? Did he have bone spurs?

what part doesn't Cyril know about the operation?

he doesn't know the empire is only interested in kalkite and wants an insurrection to justify military occupation. fighting the insurrection would only be cover for kalkite extraction.

Cyril

Cyril-sneer.jpg - 320x244, 21.82K

It does seem weird that he knew they were watching them, he should be opposed to letting them actually acquire weapons if he doesn't know the plan is to stoke an insurrection.
Maybe we will find out he thought they were deactivated or something, but still he would presumably have been okay with them sacrificing the driver

There must be entire planets that are only inhabited to mine steel and concrete ingredients just for Coruscant.

was he already starting to fall to the dark side by then

Sheev Cosinga Palpatine was always evil, either that or he was made evil because he couldn't fulfil his real life's dream of being a swoop racer.

ASFsoldiers.jpg - 768x751, 1021.44K

Yep. It's called Mandalore

This show is actual cancer and everyone involved in making it needs to be put in front of a firing squad. Absolute troonkyke dogshit.
