"Something for the dads" edition.
/who/ Doctor Who general
It's over. The gay nigger from outer space killed the franchise.
RTD's "something for the dads moments" are getting longer this series and he's leaning into fetishes this time round:
Ep1: Boobs-in-a Handbra parades around in thin nightwear most of the episode (many opportunities to catch a glimpse of erect nipples). Episode also starts with her dressed as a sexy nurse.
Ep2:
"I'll just reach up loads of times to move the film in this dress that shows huge cleavage every time I do... Eh-heh-heh, sure hope there are no pervs watching..."
Also Boobs-in-a Handbra is literally getting whipped by film at one point.
Ep3:
Death fetish central. Boobs-in-a Handbra wearing skintight fetish gear, almost like a gimp-suit.
What lies in store for Booby Cumday's return???
It's been dead for years.
Why is Season 7 with sexy miss Liz and the Brigadier so fucking comfy?
*makes you seethe*
They should make a horror episode where there are pretty ladies that suddenly hear whispering from their mirror, telling them that the are never going to attract a man. At first they discount these thoughts, but the whispering is relentless and brain washes them. Next the whispering starts saying thinks like "you should get a nipple pierced, men love that sort of thing, you'll be pretty then..." Then when the woman is mug enough to fall for that and finds she is now much less attractive as a result of it, the whispering doubles down and convinces her that the problem is they didn't go far enough... Just a few more things and men will definitely find you attractive.... Next come things like brest reductions tattoos cutting their hair short, silicone horns implanted under the skin of their foreheads, split tongues and other cosmetic procedures. At the end of the episode the formerly attractive women will be going up to men and hissing "do you think I'm pretty?" Before killing them when they say " no" or vomit at the sight of them.
Then Cassandra will slide out from behind the mirror, mutter:
"thats what you get for trying to be prettier than me, bitch."
Before rolling up like a hoop snake to move on to her next victim.
Dabs on Who fans and tells them to "touch grass"
Cries every episode to trigger the chuds
Leaves the show when it's obvious that Disney is pulling out
"Your 60 year old sci fi character? Yep he's gay now"
He's low key based
built for horny asian shota
He's fine as the Doctor, he just suffers the same fate as 13 by having his character ruined absolutely dreadful stories written for him
He doesn't make me seethe, just depressed that any fun stories we could've had have been squandered by a showrunner who desperately wants to push a message. I'm sure Ncuti is a fine actor when given something decent to work with.
Nah, it's a him problem. He's the reason why the Doctor is a weepy mess now.
What lies in store for Booby Cumday's return???
We see from the next time she gets plastered in Alien goop and marked.
bring him back already it's time
More like Doctor Bwhob.
Can someone post the leaks from GallifreyBase?
Ruby's boyfriend is evil.
The Fugitive Doctor will regenerate into Sean Pertwee
The Eurovision episode will have Jinx or whatever that DQ is called.
The two part finale will have Mrs Flood unzip to reveal herself to be a pale blue slitheen and she's going to shoot Ncuti and make him regenerate into some young white guy.
Ncuti Gatwa responded to the question "Where would you take your TARDIS to?" by stating that he would love if the Fifteenth Doctor travelled to Nigeria and met the Orishas.
Sharma Angel-Walfall's original version of this story's script featured Orishas as an antagonistic force. Davies decided that the Orishas weren't quite working in the context of the Pantheon, and decided to rewrite the script to instead feature the Midnight entity.
So basically a black woman wanted to write a story about her culture only for RTD to intervene and change it to his retarded Midnight sequel Pantheon plotline
Kek that's actually problematic
In the context for the Pantheon.
So just make it a story that isn't related to the pantheon?
Or is it a case that the Well got re-written to be about the MIDnight entity instead and Lux got made to fill the Pantheon slot which the original Well was supposed to? If it's that, then again, why not just do the original script if Lux now exists?
Russel doesn't even put much effort into making the episode tie into his Pantheon shit
both of them suck
retard
Gatwa wants to do an episode with the Daleks.
Is gonna go down as the only Doctor in Nu-Who who didn't meet the Daleks
Gatwa wants to meet the Orishas
Russel says no, here's the Midnight entity.
Gatwa probably has no clue who Sutekh, the Toymaker and Rani is
Is just missing the Rani before his legacy becomes fighting the classic who b-listers.
Least he got to fight the Cybermen in the comics I guess?
When are we going to admit that Smith was 10x better and should've returned instead?
Can't forget my first love, Peri. This was peak 'for the dads'
Tegan was a missed opportunity.
Both RTD and Moffat have brought back too much old shit. In hindsight, 80% of nu who is just memberberries.
member the shop mannequins
member the daleks
member the cybermen
member the sontarans
member the silurians
member davros
member K-9
member the master THREE TIMES???
At least chibby tried something new for 1 season
Cries every episode to trigger the chuds
This is a good way to make your hero look like a bitch. This is why heroes just got the sexy tear instead of outright bawling. The audience won't laugh at them. The guys won't think he's a pussy, and the girls won't get the ick.
The Rani's first appearance is a few months before the show is placed on a hiatus
The Rani's second appearance is a couple of years before cancellation
It's like poetry
i didnt remember any of those things because i didnt watch classic who
Didn't her debut story turn the Master into her lackey who's always praising her for being so "smart" and "cool"?
HAVE SEX
i remember when Moffat took over and Anon Babble was convinced every episode had Amy in some kind of fetish situation.
i'm sure some people consider being covered in alien whale sick a fetish, but 'inoculation' was stretching it IMO.
Moffat's obvious fetish is some kind of X-ray vision voyeur thing. multiple times he's written stories where someone's clothes become see-through.
I wonder how much of that script was actually RTD in the end. He has a habit of rewriting scripts he doesn’t like
Stopped watching at Capaldis departure. I kinda want to see the dumpster fire of the new seasons but won’t have a clue what’s going on with all this time child shit. Is there a watch guide or do I really just have to watch all this shit.
Go on IMDb and watch the episodes that are a 5/10 or less if you want a good laugh
All you really need to know is that the Time Lords experimented on the Doctor who as a baby arrived from another universe through a portal and derived regeneration from him. Oh and before Hartnell he was basically a glowie who worked for the Time Lords and they forced him to regenerate into Hartnell after and took away his memories.
But even then, after Chibnall's stuff it's only really namedropped.
If you just want the important episodes:

Tl;dw the Doctor isnt a time lord. They found some floating immortal space baby and stole regeneration from him.
And all of this is linked to a throwaway scene in The Brain of Morbius where you see other faces. I just assumed they were Morbius's faces.
the Doctor isnt a time lord.
Or he is but he's from Gallifrey's future. He fell through the Untempered Schism and gained the ability to regenerate indefinitely.
I just assumed they were Morbius's faces.
They weren't. They were intended to be prior incarnations of the Doctor. They wanted to cast celebrities but no one would bite, so they had the writers and producers dress up instead.
great summary
Thanks all, will give these a watch can’t wait to catch up to gayfella from outer space.
Philip Hinchcliffe's a handsome guy.
I like that theory the best. That or a Gallifrey from another universe took a normal time lord baby, experimented with it and flung it into that universe to kickstart Gallifrey's development in other universes.
Honestly, you can still have these and the founder origin as long as you assume he managed to get a whole new regenerative cycle pre-Hartnell. Alternatively, you can ignore NewWho and have 6 be the start of a new cycle, making 5 the 13th Doctor and enhances Caves of Androzani's status.
with all this time child shit
The Doctor was actually a super special black female refugee from another universe. She was the first being that could regenerate. A Time Lord called Tecteun experimented on her, stole the ability to regenerate (wow what a cool anti colonisism metaphor) and gave it to the other Gallifriens, creating the Time Lords. The Doctor then worked for the equivalent of Time Lord CIA and then had her mind wiped so she didn't remember it. Also there's a older black lady version of The Doctor floating around (The Fugitive Doctor) who is implied to be a pre-Hartnell Doctor (though this might be retconned at some point), from The Doctor's time in the Time Lord CIA. Not of a lot of it has been referenced since the reveal (probably due to the backlash), apart from The Doctor's time in the Time Lord CIA and now RTD is playing it up because he loves the Doctor being "le lonely god".
Also Gallifrey was destroyed again offscreen
He's fine as the Doctor
Are you watching a different show?
Zest status?
I just assumed they were Morbius's faces.
As has already been said that was the intention, but it was never clear/explicit in the show that was the case, with most people without the meta just taking the view they were Morbius' and the franchise itself running with that idea.
Also Gallifrey was destroyed again offscreen
By the Master, all by himself.
I haven't been following any of the leaks - I don't even watching any of the stuff they are releasing. They are bringing back the Rani? Anyone else? What's the endgame for the season going to be?
Mrs Flood is a bigenerated Rani.
She'll mention Omega, not sure if he'll actually turn up
Here's Robert Holmes as the Doctor. He wrote:
The Krotons
The Space Pirates
Spearhead from Space
Terror of the Autons
Carnival of Monsters
The Time Warrior
The Ark in Space
Pyramids of Mars
The Brain of Morbius
The Deadly Assassin
The Talons of Weng-Chiang
The Sun Makers
The Ribos Operation
The Power of Kroll
The Caves of Androzani
The Two Doctors
The Mysterious Planet
Here's Christopher Barry as the Doctor. He directed:
The Daleks (episodes 1, 2, 4, and 5 only)

The Power of the Daleks
The Dæmons
The Mutants
Robot
The Brain of Morbius
The Creature from the Pit
Lord Clyde Langer (born 5 June 1994) was a classmate of Maria Jackson, Luke Smith and Rani Chandra at Park Vale Comprehensive School. He joined them on adventures with Sarah Jane Smith. Clyde was a regular wisecracker and a remarkably talented artist. He sought a professional career as a comic writer and illustrator, occasionally using his exploits with the gang of 13 Bannerman Road as inspiration for his works.
Aside from The Space Pirates and The Sun Makers that's quite a good collection.
Maybe The Space Pirates would improve if it was still present, like The Enemy of the World?
Here's Douglas Camfield as the Doctor. He directed:
The Crusade
The Time Meddler
The Daleks' Master Plan
The Web of Fear
The Invasion
Inferno
Terror of the Zygons
The Seeds of Doom
She'll mention Omega, not sure if he'll actually turn up
Hasn't Omega suffered enough?
Mrs Flood is a bigenerated Rani.
It has been said before, but the show has no idea of what audience it is aiming for. It does not work for what a completely new audience, an audience that got on board in RTD1 or Moffatt, or people that are familiar with Classic. Like baiting Susan and bringing back Sutekh only means something for someone familiar with Classic, and the way the show is now is not going to appeal to people that like Classic. Same with the Rani, it is bait for an audience that does not like the show and is meaningless to someone who has no idea who she is. Sure, you can bring back Classic characters but, this way, if true, is both complicating it more than it needs to be with bigeneration and is such a forced attempt to create mystery with a payoff that is hollow to every audience type. If you were to bring back Rani then it would just be better to have her showup and the Doctor when asked who she is by the companion have him say something about her being a fellow Time Lord that does immoral science experiments.
randomly bringing back Mel without any introduction as if she's just 'still around' was weird as hell. they go through the motions of explaining other things to kids just getting into it, but not her?
look at School Reunion and how they handled Sarah Jane Smith. although a bit stranger is The Sarah Jane Adventures when they had the Brigadier or Jo Grant or whoever - more Classic Who connections and it's the show for 10-year-olds.

I would say with Jo and Brigadier they are ultimately just secondary. There is going to be some kids who are familiar with Classic, but clearly they are there for a non-kid audience. The kids watching who have no idea who they are can just accept that they are people the Doctor knew and roll with it easily enough. Jo and Brigadier are really little more than glorified cameos, they are not super central to either the story or even more so some multi-season arc. Speaking of Brigadier, baffling to me they never had him a NuDoctor interact - besides the bullshit CyberBrig. Even if they did not put it in an episode they could have done some minisode.
i mean kids aren't going to be utterly confused they can't follow along, i just found it strange there were more (direct) references to UNIT, past events and such. remember a few even had flashbacks to Sarah Jane in older stories.
in a way it's what i would have liked Doctor Who itself to have been from the start. less overarching plots etc.
Speaking of Brigadier, baffling to me they never had him a NuDoctor interact
Nicholas Courtney was famously a massive homophobe and refused to work with "those faggots" (Tennant and Smith). He only agreed to return for SJA after Liz Sladen convinced him. Courtney was later quoted in an interview saying he returned to SJA to see Sladen's "cracking tits" once again in real life.
that's some shit tier homophobia if they're not even gay.
is it just because they're young/trendy? i know he was after Waris Hussein but JNT? surely some old-school gay actors?
although a bit stranger is The Sarah Jane Adventures when they had the Brigadier or Jo Grant or whoever
But never in the MAIN SHOW. 9, 10 and 11 never met the Brigadier. We only got the the rest of the Classic Docs meeting him through the audios.
This is different, but I just got reminded about how Chad Ian's return was in the abomination that was the Thirteenth Doctor era. This is probably known by anons, but Ian was the original intention to appear in Mawdryn Undead rather than the Brigadier.
Fuck RTD for making Ace into some lame ass head of some charity instead of the Time Lady she was set up to become. All that development in the audios down the shitter. Same with 8 and his path to becoming the Doctor who ended the Time War.
phone call with some nurse/orderly after his death
see him resurrected as a robot for some reason
meet his dad
yeah that's just kind of dumb. it's like how a bunch of the actors are obviously happy to do Big Finish but aren't 'picked' to appear in the main programme itself. don't want endless fan service but just have Susan show up before Carol Ann Ford dies, she can even regenerate!
It's also not true
Jo Grant is the weird one because they specifically wrote her as a thicko, but then she becomes an environmentalist or something?
does everyone either just go work for UNIT or do some noble 'cause'?
Jo being an environmentalist is linked to her husband being an environmentalist.
To be fair with 8, RTD envisioned him as the Doctor who ended the Time War. He even wrote a story about the final moments of the Time War that was going to be released on the 50th before Moffat revealed to him that he was handling it.
As for Ace, I prefer people not just becoming Time Lords and Ladies. Feels like it'd spiral into everyone becoming one at some point.
she can even regenerate
Not her son apparently.

Watching the end of the 13th Doctor. I was bored by pretty much every other episode of his but this one is good.
The Power of the Doctor is a mess of a story, but it's an entertaining mess. I genuinely think it's Chibnall's best script and fun to watch.
Nigga sucks dick i refuse to watch
how come they've edited out Jimmy Saville and Huw Edwards, but not the other nonces and sex weirdos?
merlin was better
Yes Doctor Who will be black but here's your blonde blue eyed White girl to make up for it
Only kidding
nah this was wank. wanted to like it.
did some really stupid shit. like Guinevere didn't actually have an affair it was mind control or something? an alien showed up? the ending was our England, in modern times?
There's some rumor around that RTD is going to have the Doctor permanently die and then restart his regeneration cycle in an entirely new universe. That true or is it just a joke about how shitty RTD's endings are?
