So who put the pieces of chicken in the bathroom?
So who put the pieces of chicken in the bathroom?
Love this show so much, it's Nathan's, Emma's, Benny's best work. Can't wait for S2.
i never watched this because i figured it was woke crap. was i wrong?
Must be tough going through life assuming that about everything
If you hate Charlie Kaufman, you'll hate this, that's the easiest way I can put it. It's not really a show anyone would use to score woke brownie points though.
I don’t think they’re making a season two.
Doesn’t matter.
dilate freak
If you hate Charlie Kaufman
i loved adapatation but didnt really like anything else has done id say
oh, you’re a schizo along with being a huge baby? rough one kek
Yea I know it might not / probably won't happen, though they said they had plans for it, it's probably going to be a problem of it not being as marketable as other shows. Still, it'd be nice.
Who knows, Emma Stone and her husband are the ones who produced it and they seemed to love making it. I just don’t think the story warrants another season but it would be cool if I was wrong
bump
The whole premise of the show is making fun of woke crap dingus.
if there's a season 2 it will obviously be an anthology
Did we ever see the dad again after he was at a chiropractor and it seemed like he got severely hurt? Or did we see him and they just completely ignored that it happened
can't stop thinking about the finale
We last see him alive in the finale, the scene where Asher comes to the house. Abshir wasn't going to like, confront them about the chiropractor being shitty, he just lets it slide.
There's that theory that the other guy we see in the house is someone who's evaluating the property, so it might be the case that he ends up with some neck injury and needs to cover the cost, but I don't remember exactly, I haven't rewatched the show in a while.
I was watching this alone and audibly said "holy shit" to myself at this exact moment. From the very moment the scene begins you're trying to figure out what exactly is the logic behind this situation, what the solution is, and then it all goes out the window, and you realise that he's fucked. Couldn't have been done more masterfully, not even kidding.
No, it's a pretty straightforward heuristic.
I never watched this because it looks like it's some cuck shit
anything more complex than good guy versus bad guy is an attack on my values!!!
i felt like it was rewiring my brain in real time. Amazing shit. Pick any screenwriter/director in the world and you couldn't find one that would do something like that
bumping the curse thread
holy reddit
To be fair there is some cuck stuff going on in the story, but anons on here are schizos about any plotline like that for some reason.
@210021971
enjoying things is lame actually
I had no idea!
You should trust nathan fielder more. He's never made woke trash and if he leans into that it's usually to take the piss out of it
It was Dougie. See episode 8 where he does seem to admit to it.
oh I was thinking it'd be anthological, seems hard to continue the story
what an ugly talentless cunt
he should have killed her when he had the chance
those bowls are pricey, huh?
the loudest laugh in years
I thought he had denied it all the way but I haven’t seen it since it aired
Embarrassing post lmao
it's just so absurd and surreal yet simple, it felt a bit dragged out but you get the Safdie touch of escalating tension with the whole situation...I've had a nightmare exactly like this about a girl pinned to her ceiling in her apartment, she ends up starving because she's on the top floor and never makes it back down
What was the context of that again?
In a January 2024 interview, Safdie addressed the possibility of a second season, saying, "It's not off the table. There are ideas, but it's definitely too premature to put them out into the world."[42] In April 2024, Fielder stated that "there definitely could be" another season, and "from the start, we had it mapped out beyond the first season".
Sounds like they were both down so it’ll just depend on timing and if Stone wants to produce another.
It’s pretty crazy that the show got any recognition but most don’t know Emma Stone was nominated for a golden globe for this performance. Same year she won for Poor Things but I think The Curse has some of the best acting she’s ever had
But anon, can you imagine the emasculation of not making it clear to everyone on an anonymous forum how you avoided this TV show because it contains subversive content? Really, at that point he might as well have made an appointment for a vasectomy.
Probably the last TV show that made me "feel" something. Very unique show and glad it's not something a lot of people "get"
I was ready to take a bullet for you
lmao
Am I weird for thinking Emma Stone was hot as fuck in this? The fact that she was so mean at times did something to me
Am I allowed to touch you again?
has production company
has produced The Curse
Poor Things
I Saw The TV Glow
A Real Pain
Fantasmas
upcoming doc about yogurt shop murders
Pretty based if you ask me
Also Checkmate. Should be kino
neat, holding out hope for them both
Who was cameraman stalking them?
I totally forgot about that aspect of the show. I wish I still had the webm of the film crew ducking down out of the show or behind a car
