Dunc 2 is "fine". But it never caught on in pik culture because it's too in the nose and doesn't leave any room for interpretation. Which makes it kind of boring to keep on your mind once you've seen it. Dunc 2 is literally WYSIWYG what you see us what you get and that's it. Every performance is in the nose with zery subtly. It's the movies biggest flaw. If it wasn't for Elvis stealing every scene he is in the movie would have borderline sucked. But luckily Feyd brings some much needed SOVL to what would have otherwise been a turbo meh movie.

I don't get why anallube decided to portray Feyd as being an honorable warrior. Him being a cheating bastard was supposed to stand in contrast to the atreides' sense of honor since paul refused to let the Bene Gesserit help him win the duel. But in DUNC that doesn't happen so paul nearly loses a fair fight against a bald albino who doesn't have future sight.

Because it makes him based? Unlike just about every other character in the movie who are just the bare minimum archetype of what the character should be with no subtlety or humanized ambiguity whatsoever. Jessica was a big offender of having zero ambiguity. She should have had a giant neon sign that said I AM MANIPULATING her performance was so unsubtle and on the nose. I don't blame the actress. I blame the director. Because all if the characters in the movie are like that. Stilgar was another perfect example of being told to play everything on the nose. Like ok we get it. You are a pious true believer. Calm down. Everything was on the nose. Which makes the movie pretty forgettable once you leave the theater. Instead of having the movie stuck with you even long after you have seen it. It's Dunc 2's fatal flaw. And literally why it never caught on in the greater pop culture and just disappeared despite all the accolades.
