Shane was a stupid hothead and perpetually obsessed with Lori. He would've made a horrible leader and I doubt Daryl would ever trust him enough to be a loyal right hand like he was to Rick. Herschel and the farm folk never trusted him and wouldn't support his group, the only ally he had outside of Lori and Carl was maybe Andrea, but with Rick gone Shane's attention to Lori would likely alienate Andrea in that regard too.
Yeah I really liked season 2, and that mid-season reveal was great.
Because before shit hit the fan he was jealous of the domestic life Rick had and Lori imprinted on him as the ideal domestic partner. It wasn't just about pussy.

He was tough as hell.

I like when he overacts and moves his head around so much that the camera struggles to keep his face in frame.

He was. Shane was always right and Rick became Shane almost as soon as he killed him. The only foul on Shane's part was getting attached to Rick's wife, and even that was kind of heroic considering how bad pussy smells on a good day and she hadn't had a bath in a month by then.

shane was unironically right rick was always a bitch trying to act tough there would be no negen or the whisperers if shane was around the guy was completely pragmatic and knew what it took to survive the apocalypse

Dale's hat had more character than like the rest of entire seasons, but Carl's gay ass had to go outside and get him killed as a result, then Carl ends up dying to save a pajeet doctor who gets choked to death 2 episodes later by a slipknot enthusiast. dog shit show, it was good to begin with but dove off a cliff and never recovered but somehow spawned a dozen spinoffs

I liked Merle.

Carl died because his actor was about to hit 18 and they didn't want to pay him an adult salary

yea cause replacing Carl with the deaf DEI slingshot twins was better or something

season 7/8 was the absolute worst of the show. the final seasons were better than that

Best Characters
Rick till he went crazy at the prison, Daryl, Merle, Red Head dude b4 he broke up with hottie for the groid, Beth for hotness, tainted meat guy, Glenn till he " grew up " All these characters had personality. When too many of them died it became boring. The dialogue was one note.
