Now that the dust has settled, what did I think of it?
The Rehearsal
kike genius
how did he know airline crashes would be a relevant topic
he's been interested in aviation disasters for a while. just an autistic special interest I guess
youtu.be
I think the recent uptick in crashes is just a coincidence, the cases Nathan referenced in the show are mostly older
I like the 3 seasons of nathan for you. you people can have the rest.
Did Nathan For You get cancelled or did he decide to stop?
The Rehearsal was kino though

We respect Nathan’s decision to end the series and look forward to geeking out over his next project
he chose to end it to do other things, there's a nod to it in Finding Frances.
These thread aren’t organic. That’s what you thought.
kys
Suck my nut sack nathan.
this board has loved nathan since n4y, tourist. go back to your capeshit threads or whatever the fuck slop you're into.
Nathan wouldn't post here, I'm too busy flying planes.
See
I watched the S2 finale yesterday and wanted to talk about it because I missed the threads on broadcast night

A true work of art. Season 1 was postmodern kino. Season 2 was a psychopath trying to become human. Probably the deepest show I've seen, maybe ever?
just a coincidence
You guys ever notice how in every crash scene they recreated Nathan was always there?
Whats Nathan hiding from us?
we had a few threads reach bump limit if you feel like checking the archives.
main consensus is that it was a little underwhelming in terms of addressing the thesis of the season, but still a fantastic episode of television in a vacuum.
door city over here
Watching The Curse atm.
It's a chore....
s1 ending was more kino
made me kek how uncomfortable he felt with the idea of having kids on the show again because so many people complained about this one
I mean it was pretty psychopathic shit. A kid with no dad actually got attached to him and he treated it as some bizarre circus act. I mean what the fuck was that with him repeating the play session multiple times with different kids then getting this one kid play the attached kid in multiple different scenarios and then nathan playing as the mom. It was all so pointless and odd.
He was also taking a kid actor to a real jewish teacher and making him take real jewish class lessons lmao
bro it's just pretend
I think I have autism
Did he really fly that plane, I genuinely can’t tell if anything on this show is real or a really elaborate but real looking trolljob
i think he did, he had an experienced pilot with him and I think they played up Nathan's inexperience, like someone else said I wouldn't be shocked if he flew the empty 737s before the stunt
Yes, he did. He has a public pilot's license that people found before the episode aired.
Some people cope that the show is totally scripted, but if that were true the narrative wouldn't be so aimless and unfulfilling. This show is anticlimactic in a way that only real life can be. I say that with love btw. Several people featured on the show have also given testimonies, there were even contestants discussing Wings of Voice auditions months before the show was even announced.
Some bits are scripted or manipulated in editing - like for example, it's likely that Nathan was flying those empty planes before the stunt flight with actors happened - but most of it is real to at least some extent.
the curse > the rehearsal
I was at first disappointed that there wouldn't be more standalone episodes like Nathan for You or the first episode of Season 1, but luckily each episode managed to have enough side quests to stay interesting. The last 2 episodes were running out of steam though, especially ep 5. As someone who does actual psych research I couldn't help but wonder all the ways to extract legit data from all these bits
Nathaniel is the goat
