No one talks like that

No one talks like that

I JUST SHOT ANON IN THE FACE

i guess that settles which side is the fag earring

Cool people do. You wouldn’t know

WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO THAT FOR?

Tarantino is horrible at writing dialogue. It's especially evident in Kill Bill.

Dialogue is literally what he's widely considered to be best at.

Who wants to listen to regular people talk in a regular way? How is that entertaining? It's good that the dialogue is different.

the world is currently full of white kids who say "nigga"

What films feature this in a scene?

By who? Reddit?

YOU POSTED A BUMP!

No shit. Naturalistic conversation is conversation that's about dull or inane topics but with enough artistic flair to make it interesting. No one wants to listen to two fucking morons boringly prattle back and forth with extended pauses and non-stop 'um's and 'ah's. That's why there's like a billion dead podcasts.

Chill out man, it was an accident. You probably went over a bump or something.

The dialogue in this scene is pretty realistic.

Nevermind, he was kind of a faggot anyway

People used to talk like this all the time back before most socialization took place online.

why is is cranium so small?

Movie dialogue isn’t supposed to be realistic over anything else. Realistic dialogue would fucking suck for most movies.

He just has an enormous face

i want to take his face....off

HAHAHAHHA

A fucking cheeseburger? Nigger. Who in the Fuck?

we should have shotguns for this kind of deal

so their hit in broad daylight in a crowded apartment building needed to be louder and more conspicuous than it already was? parking out front, walking in in black suits, and loudly talking in the hallway followed by extensive gunfire wasn't enough for them?
his dialogue is very enteraining but every single character talks like quentin tarantino and his idea of 'cool' is incredibly embarassing

well rat-a-tat-tat boom boom my broom-brothe

zig-zag scallywag son

my name's mike, and you're a fuckin' dyke

terrible

I LNOW BABY
YOUD DIG IT THE MOST

It's just little things ya know, like you know what they call an upvote on Anon Babble?

They don't call it an upvote?

no man see they don't got a credit system over there.

So what do they call it?

They say it's based

ha ha... based

Yeah that's right, and you know what they call child porn over there?

What?

cunny

gross

for real man I've seen em drown the boards with that shit.

finally someone gets it. You just know the faggot talks that way in his day-to-day life, too. Must drive his gold-digging heeb wife mental. The guy's a fucking hyperautist.

Honestly when i watched tarantino's movie i always intrigued by the dialogues, it's his strong point

so their hit in broad daylight in a crowded apartment building needed to be louder and more conspicuous than it already was? parking out front, walking in in black suits, and loudly talking in the hallway followed by extensive gunfire wasn't enough for them?

I always assumed they were in a nigger neighbourhood in LA in which case no one would give a fuck if guns went off in the middle of the morning.

By normal people before reddit even existed.

he's known for dialogue. his "action flicks" are very word heavy, they have monologues, which aren't generally seen in movies like that.

I dont know 'bout all of that. But i am pretty goddamn sure, i am not talking like him.

HEY THIS THREAD DIDNT HIT NO MOTHERFUCKING (bump) NOW LOOK AT THIS FUCKING MESS MAN

Realistic dialogue would fucking suck for most movies.

Let me guess, big capeshit fan?

Whose motorcycle is this?
It's a chopper baby.
Whose chopper is this?
It's Zed's.
Who's Zed?
Zed's dead, baby. Zed's dead.

it is sort of complicated.
it's the kind of thing that is intriguing to teenagers and older retards.
a lot of it is sort of cringe, forced and try-hard if you think about it.

Gen X... the last generation that knew how to have conversations

Shit man, what did they call it in sharty?

i mean Pulp fiction in particular.
i think he got sort of better at it over time.
pulp fiction didnt age well in some respects. i guess that's what happens with very influential works.

>zig-zag scallywag son

MY SIDES

And the last generation to know a world without the internet.

Some of the early millennials might remember life before the internet, but the Zillennials and all of Gen Z never knew a world without it.

i talk like that. Hell people here talk like that. I'm talking like that right now. Maybe your conversations are just like dull and insular

no you dont. and no you arent.

well i kinda wonder what people think of other movies. 99 percent of movies have npc/hollywood dialogue, is tarantino really trying to write people or is he writing characters? I always figured it was an attempt to write sort of hollywood but to have strong characters not necessarily realistic ones. he might portray hitmen and even show them in candid ways but they are still supposed to be over the top

his idea of 'cool' is incredibly embarrassing

just as embarrassing as men wearing suits carrying big handguns and women wearing jumpsuits and carrying samurai swords? he's movies are set in a comic book-adjacent worlds. the dialogue is the least cringe part of it

there's actually nothing about their conversation that is out of the ordinary. That's water cooler talk. Actually it's drivin in a car talk. You would know if you ever had a job in a car with another person

the problem for me is that his "characterization" is kind of based on throwing non-sequitur type lines/conversations to giving the illusion of complexity. i think its particularly prevalent in pulp fiction

no i get it, it just doesnt really belong in a movie.
it adds nothing but fake depth.
like the madonna like a virgin monologue in reservoir dogs.
its just there because quentin thinks its interesting

Also the whole point of the scene, well the tone of it, was just to show how criminals still do the 9 to 5 routine in a way, and that for some it is also a performance hence needing to get into character the same as anyone does before work whether they realize it or not.

was just to show how criminals still do the 9 to 5 routine in a way

this is the best way to look at it but i think the reality is probably more shallow than that

Yeah. I regret watching Tarantino interviews because now his movies just sound like him talking to himself.

You're not supposed to flaunt the fact that you were filtered

It's sounds like you're describing your own post

that's fair i suppose. I think there's certain parts of a gangster you can switch in and out like you have to have an opener. The classic is a flash forward to when the antagonist is lying shot in a puddle. Or idk an actual real good opener. There's also the documentary style footage. I'm not even a tarantino fanboy but also not any other director's fanboy

doesnt even make sense.

Never noticed that, how cheeky and progressive

IMG_2269.jpg - 379x496, 49.76K

is this a schizo post?

Wait are old crusty boomers trying to pretend they always had these fun entertaining casual convos all the time before le INTERNET? Please, go on old fellas, your still allowed to talk you know

lot of it is sort of cringe, forced and try-hard if you think about it.

An accurate description of you/your post

le INTERNET

I'm embarrassed for you.

samefag.
except i didnt try hard, it came naturally to me by logic, wisdom and reasoning, and it's only cringe because you have bad taste.

not sure why you included
in there.
i implied no such thing nor did i suggest that they were all that fun or entertaining

reservoir dogs is better than pulp fiction

This fucking thread. You're not "original"

it's interesting that he thought no one would ever see a popular korean film in america (city on fire). somehow he got away with some pretty blatant plagiarism.

the d is silent hillbilly

explain schizo

there's nothing to explain.
he just wants to suggest he gets something that you dont which is ironic because there isnt a lot of subtlety in it.
