If you want good mayo check out the proper Japanese stuff.

it has a high fat content, and id looked down upon in the US as the fatty's choice of condiment. Unless you're in great shape you'd feel like a glutton for choosing mayo over ketchup for your dipping choice. Luckily i've always been a skinnyfag, and i got to enjoy the best condiment, MAYO

You should get that looked at

apparently the mayo we have here is of a different consistency than what people use as a condiment or sauce in the old world countries. However we do use mayo based sauces often like ranch dressing, blue cheese sauce, aioli (garlic or chipotle). So basically just plain mayo as a dipping sauce is weird to us, we need extra flavor. Also we don't eat or use butter like that, Europeans use more butter than we do. Sugar is our main thing so the soda bit is true, we also use soda (cola) to braise or marinate and barbeque foods. And it's fucking delicious.

parsley sauce

The enlightened eater knows that remoulade is the one true french fry condiment.
