You just know her attraction to him increased tenfold after learning he was a mas murderer.
It's bizarre going onto Youtube clips of the prequels and reading the comments where prequel fans praise any given scene for its subtlety and three dimensional characterization. And then you watch it and it's young Hayden Christensen blankly pondering at a slightly louder than normal speaking volume why his mother was killed while John Williams completely cuts off the previous track to just straight up play the original Darth Vader theme.
Im pretty sure Lucas was going for something stylistic with his stage direction, not necessarily maximally convincing and even embracing hamminess like he wanted things to feel a bit more like a play, but prequeltards want to act like its actually the best acting ever
Why did he call them younglings? Depersonalisation as a coping mechanism?
"Oh no!" (I can fix him...)
There is absolutely a Shakespearian influence in the actual premise of the story and I can see how that may have been the direction he was going for with the acting as well. The problem is that I don't think anybody besides Ian McDiarmid and sometimes Ewan McGregor manage to pull it off.
Obi Wan's moustache hair was too long for his beard.
You're a lying cunt obi wan
I always thought it would’ve been a much better movie if Obi-Wan and Yoda didn’t know who the mysterious Jedi killer was until they got to Mustafar. Somehow, they find out Sheev (who at this point in my idea for the movie is obviously the sith master they’ve been looking for) and an unknown apprentice of his are meeting at Mustafar to wipe out the Separatist leaders. They arrive to see Palpatine standing over Newt Gunray’s and whoever else’s bodies. Sounds of combat can be heard in the distance, a few rooms away. Obi-Wan demands that Palpatine surrenders and asks why he has killed all the Jedi. Palpatine says it wasn’t him who killed (most) of the Jedi, but a “good friend” of his. Anakin enters and Obi-Wan visibly and audibly breaks his stoic Jedi demeanor, and Yoda struggles to calm him. Then their battles begin.

i am the danger
show keeps telling you how smart walt is and this shit doesn't even make sense
prequeltards want to act like its actually the best acting ever
nobody ever said this
what you don't understand is lucas went for a specific style, 1930s pre-method acting. was it the right choice? no. was it intentional and well done in that regard? yes.
really the only weak link was natalie portman, she fucks it up with her shit reading. granted, her dialogue was more often than not absolute twaddle, but even still, a talented actor can take crap and turn it to gold.
not bad at all, they should of definitely showed more of him being corrupted though. it felt quite sudden to go from him thinking mace windu was corrupt and so saving the chancellor, to actually killing younglings. doesn't seem consistent
James Gordon Jr.: Why's he running, Dad?
Lt. James Gordon: Because we have to chase him.
James Gordon Jr.: He didn't do anything wrong.
Lt. James Gordon: Because he's the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him. Because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. A dark knight
anakin's corruption started in the phantom menace, pay attention next time.
Dad? Are you ok?
We are the spark that will light the fire that will burn the First Order down.
Who could have directed these movies and actually made them good?
Spielberg
Its been 25 years and retards still confuse shakespearean stage play style dialogues for a clunky ones
spielberg unofficially directed the mustafar scenes and iirc some utapau bits as well, he wasn't allowed to have his name on it since he's dga
lucas never joined the dga because in the 70s they had a retarded requirement that your films start with credits
then it became a thing that your films couldn't have green screens, this is why spielberg's name didn't get attached to revenge
he was still morally good. to the point where killing young lings was out of the question. he saved the chancellor because he though mace was the one who was taking things too far. that's a big stretch to go from doing that, which he considered morally good., to killing younglings. that is what i mean, they should have shown the change from why he now suddenly thinks killing younglings is a reasonable method. when his corruption had only been minor up to that point.
That's all youtube comments regardless of what trash it is.
he problem is that I don't think anybody besides Ian McDiarmid and sometimes Ewan McGregor manage to pull it off.
Because Ian McDiarmid was a Shakespearean actor who had tons of experience before even meeting Lucas back in the 80's, and Ewan had some theatrical work done before moving into movies. It's why they're so good and fun to watch, they're leagues ahead compared to the rest of the cast, even if the dialogue is shoddy and cheesy.
we are the marble on the rube goldberg machine that will trip the fan, that will blow the toy car, that will fall on the scale, that will lift the cup of water, that will spill onto the paper, that will tear and flip the mouse trap, that will fling the weight, that will topple the domino, that will pull the match against the sandpaper, that will light the spark, that will burn the first order down
I think it was roughly the right choice but the dialogue needed to be written a little better, really the story needed to be. SW never had the best acting and it was always almost a bit camp to say the least
yeah i said it wasn't perfect and agreed it could have been handled better.
in fact, when you rewatch the "i don't like sand" scene you realize just how awful portman is and how hayden tries to salvage it. everyone focuses on hayden's line because it seems so out of left field, but natalie's work is literally "we used to go swimming and lay on the beach" and is just pure shit.
a bit camp
nigger star wars has always been pure camp, any media that involves capes and cloaks and knights and shit is automatically camp. that's what disney doesn't understand about it and that is why they are actively ruining the ip.
Rian Johnson is such a fucking hack
Okay I think we actually agree on a fair bit nigger Idk why I was unconfident in my use of the word camp, I guess theres just campier stuff out there, like SW isnt 60s batman level
He needs to be raped by a pack of niggers theres no other way for these people to become racist and maybe have a chance of making something even on the level of the prequels
I guess theres just campier stuff out there, like SW isnt 60s batman level
yeah star wars isn't quite the romp like adam west batman or your average roger corman flick but it's still camp at heart, pretty much any sci-fi film that isn't 2001, blade runner or alien has a level of camp to it.
Does generative AI exist in the Star Wars universe? What if it was faked. Why would anyone believe anything?
Alderaan kaboomed
haha, AI sloppa
I will argue we see his corruption in how he slaughters the Sand People and then at the beginning of Revenge he takes out Dooku and immediately regrets it...but it is still quite the fucking leap to go from that to slaughtering kids.

They had to swap camera/footage with "hologram" because everything in Star Wars has to be science fictiony, and they had to swap children with : younglings" because they didn't want to have the phrase "killing children" in Star Wars. Without these changes it wouldn't have sounded so clunky.
Is it true they had to create a new rating for revenge too
