What movies did zoomers grow up with?
What movies did zoomers grow up with?
Shrek
is that supposed to be a weed leaf on his shirt?
zoomers
grow up
never did, never will.
generations are all made up bullshit
They literally do not exist and it's just a way for the powers that be to divide and conquer the people
I remember my mom letting me rent this at the dvd store and thinking it was the coolest shit ever
I'm 2001 and I relate more to this pic. A lot of the stuff in the OP pic is stuff from around 2012-2014. I don't consider that to be the peak of my childhood at all. That'd be more of someone born in like 2007.
There will be retarded anons in this thread who will say I'm lying but all of most cherished childhood memories are stuff like me booting up Melee on the Gamecube which I played most heavily around 2006/2007. And this was not out of the norm at all.
The movies Zoomers grew up with are whatever came out, these people don't watch anything outside of their comfort zone.
How to train your dragon
Simpsons movie
Step brothers
Young Frankenstein
Avatar- A lot shitty action movies like that
Lotta Disney movies
This is me except I'm 1997
If you were literally born after 1997, dont worry! Theres a fix! Boomers invented this shit called "highways" and there is really one near you! For real, all you gotta do is walk into the middle of one and lie down. Yeah you can do it! i believe in you!
That movie sucked fucking shit dude.
funny cuz I'm 97 and relate to the op more than yours it's like it's all subjective or something
for me it's Achievement Hunter
Shrek is usually the lazy go-to answer. Their absent parents almost always had a copy of it on DVD somewhere so that was their core formative memory. Otherwise they don't really watch movies.
I know
same and I'm a 99 fag
people who didn't experience the pre-9/11 world will always be children to me
How do you relate to stuff in that picture? The 360 came out when you were 5 years old.
Dont shit on Jimmy neutron my guy
Was this Spy Kids 3d? I remember having a crush on the girl
Lava girl and shark boy or vis versa
What's the right age to start playing video games? I started playing when I was 3. I would play on my brother's Gamecube sometimes and also on my sister's PS2. Also on my aunt's bootleg NES that had SMB1 and Paperboy. I also had a V-Smile early on too. When I was 4-5 I started playing more heavily on the Gamecube/PS2 to the point where I spent a lot of time playing for hours by myself. For cartoons I do remember mid to late 2000s era CN. I hated CNReal and didn't like the Nickelodeon rebrand. Felt flat and lifeless as a kid. I also loved Jetix and Boomerang.
I'll tell you what I relate to from that image
Core Childhood (lets say 5 to 8 years old)
Gamecube + games
Wii
Fairly Odd Parents
Danny Phantom
MLAATR
Codename KND
Billy and Mandy
Ed Edd n Eddy
Foster's Home
Teen Titans
Phineas and Ferb
Sonic X
Family Guy/American Dad (yes I was quite young)
Youtube Poops
Raimi Spider-Man
Preteen stuff
Epic Rap Battles
Smosh
Regular Show
Oh and I forgot to mention Jimmy Neutron. I loved that one a lot. Also Brandy and Mr. Whiskers (I thought Brandy was hot in my 4-5 year old mind since she was like a teen dog girl who wore flip flops). Recess too.
people born in 2007 are 18
3 seems like a really young age to start playing video games to me, but then again I didn’t grow up around smart phones. Kids should be more active that youbg
I'm a millennial.
All that surrounds him is shit. Except maybe the 360. I played Minecraft before it was even in alpha.
I loved spy kids, shark boy and lava girl. I tried watching some 5 years ago, holy shit they are so bad.
Smart phones weren't big at all in 2004. The iPhone was introduced in 2007, but it didn't get truly big until around the early 2010s.
it's like it's all subjective or something
spoken like a true cocksucker
2012 was unironically a simpler time. I was 19 at the time. Everything went to shit in 2013 when identity politics became mainstream
My first thought as well.
Transformers, nemo, wall-e, the spongebob movie, the polar express, superbad, scary movie, avatar, shrek
They didn't really exist until boomers. Then economic conditions began deteriorating while media inundation became more and more pervasive. A boomer grew up in great times while being relatively unaffected by media except TV & radio. A zoomer grew up in harder times while consuming media 24/7 through the smartphone. Thus, every generation starting with boomers had significantly different upbringings, social pressures, adolescence experiences, and adult life opportunities. This results in different temperaments between these recent generations that, while hard rules, can still be generalized.
Chill bro.
In 2012 I was in my 20s and hated pretty much everything new and thought it was shit compared to things from a decade earlier. Now I realize it was still pretty good.
That's all late millennial. You weren't simultaneously the age demographic for Superbad and Wall-E
Born in 99. For me it was
Beverly Hills Ninja
Rat Race
Wayne’s World
Austin Powers trilogy
Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure
Joe Dirt
Billy Madison
The Animal
The Brady Bunch Movie
Flintstones Viva Rock Vegas
Toy Story 1 & 2
Shrek
Monsters Inc
Recess The Movie
101 Dalmatians
Honey We Shrunk The Kids
Honey We Shrunk Ourselves
'93 here. You aight zoomie, we coo
It really wasn’t. Games were soulless as fuck by like 2008, and comedies basically died right at the start of the 2010s
zoomers referencing mill stuff
vultures.
What was the millennial stuff I referenced, anon?
I'm not saying millennials did not enjoy those things. I'm saying you gotta learn how to share.
Zoomers compromise 1997-2012 birth years. That's a wide variety. Millennials compromise 1981-1996.
Obviously some millennials on the later end are going to grow up with some of the stuff early zoomers had.
yo im a zoomer. i watched that shitty home movie that's just a bastardized shitter version of a pretty decent book. its like an equivalent to those cartoon reboots with the shitty writing and even shittier art style.
Yes that's what I thought. But I can still go back and find a good game from the early '10s I've never played before. Whereas every single game I've tried after 2018 or so has been garbage. It was still good back then, we didn't know how good we had it.
interacting with zoomers is like playing a game of russian roulette, except all the chambers are filled with bullets except for one
heed my bleak prognostication you miserable cunts. In just 4 years time this thread could be "le 2011 zoomer" and it would, in fact, be referring to legal adults. The best time to leave 4chin was years ago; the second best time is today.
you're the miserable one, i'm still having fun on 4chin :)
As a 2001 baby I thought new stuff had peaked by 2007/2008 and everything after was downhill. Apparently the 2000's 'vibe' that I liked was seen as trashy and called "McBling" and the new style that came in with Obama's inauguration was "Electropop".
93 here and lots of the stuff here is fitting for me.
Except for the cartoons in the middle, that feels really off compared to everything else here.
That's zoomer women because most I interacted with are BPD retards, extremely pretentious about music but only listen to TikTok core
do they identify as an attack helicopter
Yeah I'm an early zoomer, there's obviously fucking overlap
most rapid technological innovation (in every conceivable way) in the last 100 years of REALITY as it is known by humans
uhhh, life is just life bro no matter who where and when you are
being this reductive is only possible with an egregiously low iq
As a 2001 baby I thought new stuff had peaked by 2007/2008
2000's 'vibe'
You didn't experience it. You were drooling on your toys in 2007 and didn't gain social consciousness until the 2010s. Just be honest with who you are. 1991+ millennials did the same shit claiming they remember the 90s.
way to admit you live in the third world
I am being honest. You are the one encouraging me to be dishonest. I was on the internet regularly since 2006. Are you one of those people who says you have to be a teen to be a 'kid of that decade' or something? 5, 6, 7, 8 years old is childhood bro. I don't know why you think children don't have interactions with the world that young and can't make observations and inferences. Your post would make sense if you were talking about me as a toddler at the age of 2 or something.
I had access to a polaroid camera in the early 80s and took photos of my things and rooms in a house my family had moved out of before I was 5; my dad always had them printed. Looking at those photos I remember other specific moments and objects. I hope for your own sake you're baiting because even into your midlife you should be remembering things, more or less, that happened before you were 5, assuming an average brain.
'04 fag here, I think the stuff that I was probably watching when I was little was like willy wonka, spy kids and whatever the fuck type of movie that was on TV or what my dad put on, but I also remember watching rated M stuff like kill bill, drive,t ron legacy and other horror slop for like an billion time when I was growing up
I remember my parents used to take me and my sister to Blockbuster to pick a movie to watch, but once Blockbuster was gone, my dad would download shit from Pirate Bays since we were kind of broke back then and streaming services weren't available yet.
But overall, I was just a bunch of 80/90s and millennials shit.
Only some of them
I have that haircut fuck you
you're not dicraprio, you're not rocking that middle part.
my grammar fucking suck btw lol
I was on the internet regularly since 2006.
2001 baby
Just stop lol.
Looking at those photos I remember other specific moments and objects.
Ok. You still weren't aware of the world during that time so you can't comment on the period outside of your own toddler memories.
I grew up with superhero movies, they're the one constant in my life
your blanket statement was about 9 year olds being incapable of possibly having the slightest modicum of awareness of internet culture you insufferably retarded sperg. you don't know how normal people operate and are clueless about average age milestones
how can you relate to Xbox 360 if you didn’t buy it the year it released?
which console do you think people had right before the ps4/xbox one release in 2013 you fucking retard?
Just stop lol.
I'm telling the truth. I used Gamewinners, I loved Charlie the Unicorn and would recite it to family members. I liked Chao Island.
Why is it unbelievable a 5 year old could use the internet? When I entered kindergarten all the kids knew what webkinz was.
idk. Who gives a shit?
It's a weed bong.
99
by the time anyone born in 99 could operate a controller they were a gen behind and most of those shows had run their course or were stale
why didn't your parents buy you a brand new console on release day when you were 5?
millennials actually think everyone born after 1998 grew up with fortnite and tiktok. what causes this mental retardation?
jealous of based zoomGODs
Gaaaah I frickin hate youngsters!
I could operate a controller by 3-4. That's normal for a little kid.
For 99, + 3-4... 2002-2003? For age 5, 2004ish? That's definitely not a gen behind and Spongebob/FOP/Billy and Mandy/Ed Edd n Eddy were not stale yet. They were at the height of their fame. Ed Edd n Eddy didn't even end until 2009.
Millennials do this shit where they can remember playing the NES from the age of 2 but Zoomers don't remember anything until they were 12-13.
Even if you were born in 2003 you'd probably remember a lot of the shit in that image. People kept playing 6th gen games when 7th gen was out also. You forget the Wii had like 2 games worth playing on it in 2007 and didn't really peak until at least Wii and Brawl came out. For PS3 and 360 it was even longer.
Not everyone is buying consoles for their kid right on release. Nor games.
yeah but check this zoom zoom
aislop
i was just trying to communicate in terms your generation would understand
I graduated high school when fortnite came out. I understand your degrading soilennial brain can’t comprehend rapid shifts in modern culture and media
Gen alpha would be growing up with AI, not us lol
'99 Zoomer here.
Ice Age 1 and 2
The Bill Murray live action Garfield movies
James & the Giant Peach
The Stars Wars prequels
Wallace & Gromit
The Simpsons Movie
The Spongebob Movie

Phase 1 MCU
Daniel Craig Bond
Avatar
Yep, it sure is great being a zoomie.
of course chooses to suddenly leave the thread after this
They didn't grow up and they don't watch movies.
ITT
Even as an undiagnosed autistic kid, I thought this looked fucking stupid. Spy kids 2 was the limit. Everything after that was just retarded.
Kill yourself
There’s a pretty big difference between those that were children when the internet was around and those that were not.
