In my experience, women want you to be confident and make choices that will impress them until they're persuaded to date you. However, once you're a couple it switches instead to them wanting you to make choices that they can criticize and "correct" so that they can be right and you wrong. This remains true even if they have to spin logic around and change their mind on something they previously established if it allows them to "win".
I'm close to zero of those things and also short but confidence is definitely a game changer.
