Andor

There's already a thread.

andor is so not-starwars it's hilarious. it's kino in spite of starwars not because of it. it's basically Subversive Anti-Government Tutorial: the Show.

It’s basically, Boring Shit: The Show

Le boring spy drama with le TIE fighters

White People Are Evil: The Show

ah, the fragile victim-complex poltroon is here

Prove me wrong

appreciate the bump, poltroon
feel free to give more

I thought the 2nd season wasn't very good because they ended up having to abandon everything halfway through then shoehorn Rogue One into it.

half of season 2 is boring trash, cassians bitch should be raped kek

They've spent like a decade openly proclaiming this stuff is proudly made to shit on white people. It's actually a reason Trump is your president right now

dead internet theory ITT

she hit the wall in s2, so probably not

Season 1 of Andor was significantly better than Season 2. The time skips in Season 2 are rushing the story, making Cassian feel stagnant over a span of four years. He's supposed to be a fully committed rebel foot soldier, yet just a year before Rogue One he's still thinking about running away. His emotional state angry and desperate hasn’t evolved at all between the skips, which makes the character feel flat.

Season 1 had a clear structure. Arc 1 told the story of a tribal boy taken from his home, Arc 2 showed a scoundrel thrown into prison, Arc 3 was the highlight with the prison escape, and Arc 4 was about the prisoner embracing the rebellion. In contrast, all three Arcs of Season 2 so far feel repetitive, there’s no real growth or change in Cassian. He's spent the whole season complaining about Luthen and the Gorman massacre, which ultimately didn’t live up to its buildup.

Arc 4 will be the worst yet, as Gilroy seems intent on "fixing" Gareth Edwards' Rogue One by overstating Cassian's importance. Giving him the title of “messenger” undermines Bodhi’s original role. Season 2 should have focused more on the other Rogue One characters and shown Cassian as a fully devoted, unquestioning, and ruthless rebel. Instead, we’re getting this reluctant messiah narrative which feels completely off. Into the trash it goes.

Pretty sure majority of people voted for Trump due to the economy and even that is being fucked right now.

If you see Andor 2 more as world building than character building it makes sense. S2 shows why people were willing to go to the lengths they do to stop the empire.

cassian suddenly getting angry at luthen is the most dishonest shit i've ever seen, he is constantly frowning for no reason and the boring political bullshit that goes nowhere, the plotlines that are cutoff, like the forest retards who were left behind, the time skips, aaargh

like the forest retards who were left behind

uhm they got eaten

Trandor
Slop/10
Just fucking slop from start to finish

I feel like this is a humiliation ritual for the male Star Wars audience who dared to spank it to Slave Leia. Like how in the MCU Scarlet Witch has been replaced by her disgusting ass-munching homo son.

Cassian is finally realizing the cost of being a rebel. Initially when he joined, he thought it was just going to be him. He didn't realize that joining the rebellion meant his friends and family was also going to be part of it.

this was one of the best plotlines in this entire franchise, everything about it was new, felt like watching oz again

I still don't fully get how he didn't know that all the shit he's doing on Ghorman was to instigate a rebellion

his waifu is a ISB head of operations on Ghorman

He relocates to Ghorman as a manager salaryman with access to sensitive Imperial documents

He deliberately gets involved with the underground resistance movement and aids them while keeping up secret correspondence with Deedra

He REPORTS HIS INVOLVEMENT TO PARAGAZ AND HIS WAIFU, gets praised for his input and how everything's going as planned

spies on the resistance movement's first act of terrorism and it's made evidently clear the Empire is letting them go through with it

over the course of a year the resistance movement grows into a terrorist group while the Imperial presence changes into an occupation

all the while Syril is clearly involved with both factions

Empire starts deploying mining equipment on the planet as things are getting heated

Syril goes berserk over "not being told what's really going on"

as a viewer I obviously know more but why would the show portray him as some unwilling participant who was manipulated by his girlfriend? He even had a meeting with the ISB on Coruscant where they told him to work with the rebels, what was he thinking it was going to lead to?

file.png - 1500x1000, 1.02M

Why is this so unbelievable?
Have you maybe looked around you recently?

Women ruin everything

S2 feels like them realizing that Diego Luna is the worst part of the show (both his character and his acting) and do their best to pivot away from him as much as possible

because he was a low iq chudcel

the whole point was he was in denial of the truth that was staring him in the face until it was too late

Diego Luna is actually a decent actor, but Cassian as a character doesn't get a cool monologue like everyone else, so he comes off as a straightforward action hero type.

He explained this himself, they even reshowed his explanation in the opening Previously On Andor bit. And then he explains again to Rylanz. He thought he was working with the ISB to push the Ghorman Front into becoming a proper terrorist organization in order to bait the Rebellion into working with them, at which point the ISB could use Syril's influence in Ghorman Front to get their hooks into the Rebellion. From Syril's viewpoint the ISB never actually wanted anything from Ghorman in particular, they were just convenient.

that works, thanks for the clarification anon

This. This anon is the audience this show is for, not mouth-breathing children wowed by lightsabers and podracers, the shallowest of fans. Low-IQ mongrels can run back to their animated kiddie shows, Andor is for the thinkers who give a shit WHY something is the way it is and HOW things got to where they are when we see them. Andor feeds critical thought, not dopamine receptors.

The show literally hits you over the head with information you merely have to join the simple dots but you have anons asking how is it genocide if it is just a bunch of people being killed.

this would hit home if he didn't die so unceremoniously

What does that have to do with anything?

deedra

post discarded. its dedra and pronounced dead-dra, not dee-dra

Poor sweet little boy

SAY
HIS
NAME

I really thought the prison arc would suck when it started but I was so wrong

It had no right to be that good

it's just a shitty ww2 spy movie dragged out for 10 hours and produced like a shiny boring plastic toy

I think Rogue One is going to need a fan edit honestly. Throw in some of the Andor music and things like that

she hit the wall

You dumbass virgin, fucking fag

Why do the hallways of the Senate Building in Andor suddenly look like the interiors on Kamino? At most you'd expect the intrusion of Imperial motifs. The answer is that Gilroy is drawing on the aesthetic of the new exterior architecture, but the design language is confused. You can see the palette of the Senate chamber itself seems to have been adjusted to match. It has a strangely bright, aquatic feel to it now. I'm not sure why the transition to Empire transformed the capitol into King Triton's court.

IMG_1637.jpg - 1014x887, 107.87K

Yuck

But those don't look the same at all aside from both being shades of off-white

its to go with the water feature outside. this year's senate theme is water

they had the budget to actually film on Coruscant, moron.

the empire took all the color out of the Senate

Makes sense

my question is why no one in Star Wars likes fitted carpets.

Did you even watch a Star War before? Empire is all about being clinically sterile and removing individuality, stripping everything of colors. All those colorful clone trooper legions that developed individuality under the Jedi? Gone. Replaced by sterile, white, faceless stormtroopers, who use TK-numbers instead of names. Colors on the ships? Gone. All grey now. Are you really surprised that Senate looks like that as well?

opera house

ironically, that would have been bad for the acoustics.

this single shot has more going on in the background than Andor does in three episodes of 'story'.

Empire is all about being clinically sterile

The weird muddied sea green they turned the senate for no reason is the opposite of clinical or sterile
It doesn’t even match the design language gilroy invented for the empire much less anything pre-established

More aliens too. AND he’s not terrified to show the skyline so it’s out in the open and not facing a brick wall or a fogged window.

t. someone who didn't pay attention at all to the background of Andor S2E8

Okay, I will watch it now. You better not bullshiting me again.

I guess the R1 planet is called Scarif because some Starbucks Barista spelled Gareth Edwards' name wrong

Fell for it again award

Both season start out really slow just fyi

99278119333.png - 1079x1145, 782.35K

I don't really get why everyone is so mad at Luthen

They think he won't grow out of his espionage phase, but he still has a grip on everything they do and he's not afraid to let a world burn just to give the Empire rope to hang itself with.

what this anon says. just bear with a slow start each season. it's worth it.

So they're against his radical ideologies that kill a couple hundred people but they're okay with blowing up a Death Star with over a million mostly innocent people on it?

They're okay with wrecking a superweapon, but they're tired of sacrificing for the chance to. Cassian bitching at Luthen about "interfering" with Bix, for example, just affirms that Luthen's underlings (except Kleya) are losing their integrity in the face of having to give up everything the way he has to see the Empire fall.

No wonder the New Republic failed in Disney canon. They're morally as fucked up as the Empire

So they're against his radical ideologies that kill a couple hundred people but they're okay with blowing up a Death Star with over a million mostly innocent people on it?

yes

nobody knew the Nazis were 'wrong' at the time.

he seems like that kind of guy that would vote against his own interests and then sperg out when his glorious leader fucks him over

wrong

Hey well I never questioned it until Disney came around and made me sympathetic to the Empire. They were just the cool bad guys growing up and now I feel sympathy for them.

The tariffs are working you fucking retards

so the Ghorman are Space French?

Andor really brings out the deluded huh?

yeah I can't remember the last time this many anons were Imperial bootlickers.

yes

When they made being MAGA a personality.

The Ghorman have to be inspired by the French Resistance in Les Miserables. They even sing a song

enjodeath.png - 499x344, 257.33K

the last 3 episodes were okay, but the first 6 episodes were a total waste of screen time
i hoped they would kill her. now his motive for staying part of the rebellion is fulfilling her wishes after being cucked by her instead of seeking revenge for his killed wife. ruined.

Does it matter if it's just the reception area, though?

The New Republic fails not because of morality (or lack thereof), but because of naivete. They cannot conceive of the idea that there would be entire star systems that would MISS the Empire enough to sell out to the NR's enemies, even without the spooky space despot that ran the joint. The NR unironically falls victim to the same set of circumstances that laid the groundwork for the Clone Wars: an indolent Core uninterested in the plights of the Rim, being preyed upon by anyone with enough firepower to make a point. It gets laughable once Mon Mothma dissolves the New Republic military entirely; those X-Wings the Owl Lady calls up in Skeleton Crew to stop pirates stop even being a thing. The New Republic just plain gives up once the galaxy doesn't go their way.

Well the franchise is called Star WARS so really this galaxy will never see peace. It will always be a repeating cycle of war, I guess just like real life. The Jedi are the beacon of hope but that stupid Acolyte show said the Jedi are actually bad so now I guess Star Wars should just be misery porn to them.

This here sounds like someone is trying to redeem the sequels that's dangerous talk round these parts.

Redeem? Impossible. Explain? That can at least be done, but it is hopelessly stupid and simplistic.

The Jedi have always been flawed, all Acolyte did was write it large.

There is a reason there has been ZERO sequel related show

The Jedi have flaws but they're not THAT bad. No one likes that stupid show

Don't watch any Spielberg films you might sperg out over the messaging.

Parochial religious orders with power always go bad, from the perspective of those they crush underfoot, and the Jedi had a 1000-year stretch where no one was around that could seriously challenge them.

You can claim to not know the Nazis were bad when you work in like a boot factory. You can't claim the same ignorance when you work in a death camp.

The Jedi were mostly good. Even in KotOR a thousand years before any of this they were trying to just be good and help people.

As a fascist revolutionary I enjoy how butthurt Andor makes run of the mill conservatives

The funny thing is that nothing Andor shows is new. Literally everything has happened in the history books but somehow chuds think it is about them

The Jedi literally started a 100-year war to stamp out a rival belief. These are not altruistic hippies.

A bunch of hippies vs a bunch of people who have no problem blowing up planets is kind of a big difference between the Jedi and the Sith

revolutions are not revolutionary in and of themselves

NIGGA HEIL SIDIOUS

ALL MY NIGGAS TROOPERS NIGGA HEIL SIDIOUS

Still no Rebel fleet. This arc better get on that if it's going into Rogue One

093746452234.png - 1814x826, 834.95K

We can see it by how USA already loswering them for China

They amass a few hours later in the Rebels timeline

Both Legends and Canon have the NR being hit with the retard bat. Time will tell if Disney gets the timeskip "EmpireButGoodTM" taking over most of the galaxy. Given that Disney is literally a shitty legends remix with the citations filed off its not impossible

to stamp out a rival belief

that belief: "we should be immortal and blow up planets"

Eggs and omelette and all day

Doesn't Disney Wars have a Vong type of villain coming up? The New Republic sucks. Getting mogged by the EU is really fucking embarrassing

it has the grysk which is stuck in the filoni side of the franchise

finished episode 8

mehhh season 2 is just so much talking
basically a political drama with a star wars skin

the butchering scene was just kinda ehh
the whole not-france was boring imo

I hated the gigantic time skip at episode 6 where suddenly there was a huge group on yavin

No explanation no nothing

The show is fine. S2 not hasn't quite lived up to S1 but it's not bad. But holy fuck is the fan base for this show insufferable. It's Rick and Morty fans v2.

it's communists + filoni haters + tumblr they/thems + this board's slop enjoyers

They're trying so hard to push this. I'm glad that the actual good show is Marxist lecture dressed up as drama though. Very fitting.

Justice for Roiland

At this point our "action space opera" has more scenes of people yapping about politic and schemes than people shooting lasers at each other and blowing shit up.

Dedra: “you need Ghorman rebels you can count on to do the wrong things”

spends 1 year hoping that the Ghorman resistance will make contact with Syril so he can help them steal weapons

rebels proceed to do nothing for an entire year

ISB just run false flag terrorism operations like they could’ve done from the beginning

Ghorman rebels end up not even mattering, since the ISB then riles up the crowd with yet another false flag

What was the point?… Did 80% of the season end up being cut?

Why did Syril even need to make contact with the rebels? Why couldn’t they just the empire accidentally “lose” some weapons shipments and make sure they ended up in the hands of the rebels?
What did they even need the rebels for if they were also just going to commit false flag operations themselves?

Why couldn’t they just the empire accidentally “lose” some weapons shipments and make sure they ended up in the hands of the rebels?

How would they do that? Ring the doorbell and run away, leaving behind crates of weaponry?

The weird muddied sea green they turned the senate for no reason is the opposite of clinical or sterile

it's not green, that's just the ugly teal color gradinge. the set is white/gray

doesn't it suck that the "genocide" we saw was a town square with maybe 50 rebels in them.

Can someone explain why Andor insists on making Star Wars look like some BBC crime drama set in space? Since when do we have red brick buildings in this universe? What happened to futuristic architecture, domes, chrome, whatever happened to visual imagination? Everything looks like it was shot in a parking lot behind a warehouse.

And why are we spending entire episodes watching characters sit around planning heists like it’s Ocean’s Eleven in slow motion? Star Wars has Jedi. Star Wars has lightsabers. You’re telling me nobody can just use a mind trick or slice through a few doors and be done with it? Why is everything suddenly grounded and “realistic”?

We’re watching humans talk about politics and oppression like it's supposed to be some serious commentary. That’s not what Star Wars is for. I don’t care how "well-written" the dialogue is, it’s just people standing in dim rooms having intense conversations, and not a single alien saying something stupid in a funny voice. No aliens, no creatures, barely any droids.

This isn’t what I came to Star Wars for. I came for epic space battles, over-the-top villains, goofy sidekicks, and stories that feel like Star Wars, not whatever dry, joyless drama this is trying to be. It’s like they’re ashamed of what the franchise actually is.

the time skips def didn't help but you can assume they did more operations to screw the empire somehow, which was used as propaganda. fill in the gaps

Fuck off, Theory

cassian suddenly getting angry at luthen is the most dishonest shit i've ever seen

"Suddenly"? Are you guys really watching the show? Are you on your phone while watching it? Or are you simply brain damaged?

muh objective trutherino!!

leftist trash.

Star Wars Theory is that you? are you crying?

kek
i hope it's just a bait lol

Star Wars is a pretty retarded universe when it comes to doing scale. Like the empire being frazzled because a few people tussled with some troops on Ferris back on season 1. Or the Aldhani heist somehow going all up the to the emperor and sending the ISB into a meltdown.
The entirety of Ghorman protesting their planet being occupied is like 50 people milling around in a plaza that feels like it belongs in a small village.

IMG_9099.png - 1444x880, 2.39M

Didn’t they deny being behind the imperial shipyard bombing or whatever it was? It really came off as if they’d been sitting around for a year, divided on how to proceed (since the father was still pushing for moderation).

It's called the sun, but it's outside.

Finished episode 9

Ok cool k2 is there
The whole show in general besides ep1 first 10 minutes is mindboggingly boring

Ring the doorbell and run away, leaving behind crates of weaponry?

Just have a weapons shipment “accidentally” crash-land somewhere that the rebels can retrieve it. They’re established as having contacts in the hinterlands, since they know about the mining equipment being landed around the planet.
It seems a hell of a lot more foolproof than Dedra sitting on her ass for a year hoping and praying that the rebels would contact Syril because he said nice things about them to his mom.

You lost

4chanlost.jpg - 950x148, 36.02K

i mean theory is right

andor isn't star wars
it's a polit drama with a star wars skin

the costumes

went too hard in the bait

Why was it basically cancelled then? It was supposed to be five seasons and they cut it down to two because of how hard it flopped.

the dark knight isn’t batman. it’s a crime drama wearing a batsuit

filonifaggots... is quality television more of a draw than cameos from cartoons for 7 year olds?

the costumes besides imperial ones look like your typical dresses

believes empire can only be good because security

dom mommy wife has a high-ranking job

dom mommy wife tells him he has to infiltrate ghorman because there are outside agitators

he thinks this is true

spend years in denial because dom mommy wife couldn't be bad and couldn't be lying

i love s2 but yeah one fault that bugged me was that the scale of the population of ghorman felt off, maybe they ran out of budget

(me)
also the genocide isn't just the square massacre but the planned destruction of their planet via mining and we can assume we weren't shown every bit of the violence that followed the massacre so

Anon Babble still can't get over tumblr

What year is it

mostly innocent

fgvwrg.jpg - 196x308, 11.92K

Is that why gas is under 3 dollars?

Mon Mothma's talking about the genocide immediately after the massacre.

she's still wrong, its not a genocide because the empire isn't doing it in order to exterminate the ghorms. they're just collateral damage.

Yeah and the holocaust didn't happen so your "just following orders" rhetoric doesn't hold up.

It was supposed to be five seasons

it was always a two seasonplan

I can't believe how astroturfed this shit is. Pseudo intellectual slop like this makes regular slop look like a gourmet meal.

It was supposed to be five seasons

stop making shit up

I don't like season 2 and if you shouldn't either

it literally says it in the interview

first outline of the show is 5 seasons

realize Diego Luna would age too much

immediately rewrite it to two seasons

it was never supposed to be five seasons

and they cut it down to two

Because Gilroy literally said he doesn't want to spend 10 years making Star Wars

could someone post Leida in her wedding dress please

that's the only time she appears in the show

There's always stuff like this modern shows that just take you out. Like that faggot sounding looking Jedi in ACOLYTE. That mutt looking guy in Severance. Girlroy cast his grandsons to play the rebel retards and they suck. Even in a good show these people can't contain their power levels.

There was simply not enough *stuff* shown to us to give us a sense of the gulf between what Syril thinks he's doing and what's he's actually being lead to do. During the massacre, him feeling regret (or whatever that was), falls on it's face.

Mon's husband and daughter haven't been seen for 2-3 episodes. The entire point of their characters is they disagree with Mon. So it's weird that they don't get one final "I disagree" before she gives her speech and runs away to the rebels. Nothing.

Both of these make the entire season feel amateurish. Also Mon's speech sounds like a highschooler wrote it. "I stand before you" and "heavy heart" llloollll

Star wars universe is so confusing. How do they not have a broad cast system run by people? Instead its in some closet where anyone can go in and turn off the power. I shouldn't care about this stuff and I usually don't but when you try to make everything grounded and realistic you have me questioning things.

>Mon's husband and daughter haven't been seen for 2-3 episodes. The entire point of their characters is they disagree with Mon. So it's weird that they don't get one final "I disagree" before she gives her speech and runs away to the rebels. Nothing.

Actually this one makes even Mon's season 1 story seem amateurish. What was the point?
Yes, there could still be some resolution to the husband and daughter in the next 3 episodes. But whatever it is, it will be completely mistimed and... amateurish.

During the massacre, him feeling regret (or whatever that was),

What are you not getting? What do you think Syril just experienced?

No, mate. You people are the ones beyond parody because you're one losing your mind over a Black actress in a TV show.

americans.jpg - 584x430, 61.17K

Cyril shouldn't have died. This is sadly GRRM tier writing. Killing him because its "realistic". Same with Brasso and Cinta. Their deaths feel meaningless we didn't spend enough much time with them.

I can't remember if it's episode 9 or a previous episode but they mentioned Leida being on a honeymoon tour but not having Mon have a conversation with Perrin prior to her speech felt really weak. Could have cut the whole thing with her assistant working for Luthen and had Mon and Perrin argue about it before Mon consciously chooses to make the speech and fuck them over. Hopefully we'll get some sort of closure on it in the last 3 episodes.

>There was simply not enough *stuff* shown to us to give us a sense of the gulf between what Syril thinks he's doing and what's he's actually being lead to do. During the massacre, him feeling regret (or whatever that was), falls on it's face.

He thought he was supposed to become an inside agent to keep a tab on them and to embolden them to attract bigger rebel influences. He thinks its to catch bigger fish like Cassian but has no clue ISB wants to instigate a massacre for resources.

this. there's no way Bella Ramsay is going to be able to carry Star Wars with Syrell dead.

it looks like Manaan
I think they just like Manaan more than Coruscant
Coruscant is kind of inherently depressing

He's not being disingenuous.

How?

blaming 1 idiot

instead of blaming 3 idiots + studio interference

Watch the original films first, 'tard.

Considering he sees Cassian and immediately snaps out of it goes into a murderous rage... I think it's a little more complex than simple regret.

Is the second as pointless as the first?

Yes, that's what the storyboard called for, but the execution in actions and dialogue completely missed the mark. They failed to show what actually needed to be shown and focused instead on things that didn’t matter. Syril voiced emotions that should’ve been left implied, while the crucial points that needed to be said outright were buried in subtext.
I almost want to interpret this blunder in the context of his character. Maybe it's poetic in that way, a failure of a man gets a failure of a story arc.

well now you were shooting at me and my buddies so now I gotta crush your skull

ain't nothing personal on either end I understand that

It has nothing to do with regret whatsoever, he just had his whole worldview completely torn apart. He loved the Empire and believed that they were good - actually they're genocidal maniacs who want to loot the planet's minerals at any cost. He loved Dedra - actually she's complicit in it and sees nothing wrong with it. He thought he was a hero, fighting for truth and order in the galaxy - actually he was just helping the evil death machine of the Empire kill innocent people. Everything he ever thought or felt about his life or himself as a person was revealed to be a lie 5 minutes ago. He goes after Cassian because he has nothing else.

If you think about it, everything is pointless due to Episode 7

Woah hold on there. First season was pretty pointless, but it was also exciting.
This second season is straight-up less exciting. And perhaps it's less pointless. Except the "point" of the season is building towards established canon, which is pointlessness of a different type.

Oh god, are you one of those people who thinks implication and subtext is the be-all end-all of writing? Dude, no. That's great you got all of that out of the 30 minutes we've spent with Syril this season. But writing a good scene that communicates ideas will always be the thing that is worth admiration. Not *not writing* a scene entirely and leaving the audience either scratching their head or filling in the blanks themselves.

Why did Syril even need to make contact with the rebels?

They needed someone on the ground and inside the local resistance to make sure things were going how they wanted + give them updates so they can adjust their strategy as needed; Syril just thought he was sent there to hunt for outside rebels radicalizing the Ghor so the Empire could swoop in and nab 'em, not knowing they never planned on stopping the pressure cooker before it exploded

Why couldn’t they just the empire accidentally “lose” some weapons shipments and make sure they ended up in the hands of the rebels?

That's basically what they did, running shipments of guns late at night with zero security escort while making sure the itinerary is known in advance, but you don't want to make it too obvious you're fattening them for the slaughter while there's still factions loudly pushing for non-violent protest

What did they even need the rebels for if they were also just going to commit false flag operations themselves?

Imagine if China had footage of scores of 'peaceful student protesters' shooting it out in Tienanmen with stolen/black market assault rifles, it's a LOT easier to make an insurrection narrative stick (and justify what you do afterwards). The whole point of the ISB glowie stuff was to make everyday people apathetic or even happy when the empire treats Ghorman sorta like how Israel treats Palestinians. Go strike up a conversation with a random boomer, most (if they care at all) care more about "October 7" than Israel using it as pretext to literally exterminate and conquer

The whole thing with building the super-obvious oppression palace in the middle of Palmo was done to encourage the resistance, and to make sure they'd focused on something like the Empire trying to rule Ghorman with an iron fist. Without that element, they'd have found out about the plan to stripmine the planet and might have been able to do something about it.

why does Andor cause so much seething?

It's literally the whole point of his character, I'm sorry if you didn't manage to catch that. Stick to the ones with the spaceships and explosions, OK champ?

What was up with the Resistance uniforms?

I think Andor is a pretty cool guy. Eh kills the imperails and doesnt afraid of anything.

Fellow Anons, friends, autists, allies, adversaries. I stand before you this morning with a heavy heart. I’ve spent my life on this board. I came here as a child. And as I look around now, I realize I have almost no memories that pre-date my arrival and few bonds of affection that cleave so tightly. Through these many years, I believe I have served my constituents honorably and upheld our code of conduct. This board is a cauldron of opinions and we’ve certainly all had our patience and tempers tested in pursuit of our ideals. Disagree as we might, I am hopeful that those of you who know me will vouch for my credibility in the days to come. I stand this morning with a difficult message. I believe we are in crisis. The distance between what is said and what is known to be true has become an abyss. Of all the things at risk, the loss of an objective canon is perhaps the most dangerous. The death of truth is the ultimate victory of evil. When truth leaves us, when we let it slip away, when it is ripped from our hands, we become vulnerable to the appetite of whatever monster screams the loudest. This board's hold on the truth was finally lost on the latest episode release. What took place last season… what happened last season on Ahsoka was unprovoked retcons! Yes! Retcons! And that truth has been exiled from this board! And the monster screaming the loudest? The monster we’ve helped create? The monster who will come for us all soon enough is Dave Filoni!

Kino

blasted the shit out of those ISB plants

AND YOUR WORRIED ABOUT WHATS GOING ON ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BUILDING!!!!

STONE AND SKY

What exactly makes the Empire evil again?

You notice how the Rebels are always the ones starting shit?

Are both Ewok movies still considered canon?

You notice how the Rebels are always the ones starting shit?

I don't actually

I knew it was going to be kino when I saw it was based off THX-1138

no, just the 9 saga movies, TCW movie, rogue one and solo

slop writing

slop casting

slop service

yup, its a redit thread.

true... ahsoka is so much better...

Blowing up an entire innocent planet just because you were unsatisfied with the current situation is pretty evil.
One could argue that Palpatine doesn't have to be evil to build a strong empire but he chose not to.

Why do you watch pro-Disney propaganda?

ritesh1.png - 583x524, 72.49K

just bear with a slow start each season

don't you mean the slow start to each arc? s01ep01, 04 & 07 are fucking bores

I don't pay to watch things and I take what I can get. Most people here despise pedophiles and other sexual degenerates but most of the films and shows they watch are made in Hollywood.

they're ruled by an evil wizard that wants to consume the galaxy and do evil wizard shit

Anyone got a mega or torrent?

What was the point?… Did 80% of the season end up being cut?

yea i think so, what was the jungle scene all about? why was the wedding/wedding rave so fucking long? did they kill Tay?

Ritesh Babu

Didn't he get blacklisted from writing nerd articles and pretends he meant to do that?

not really in the business of telling anyone what to do

just feels frankly infantile

What a condescending faggot.

How about false flagging operation to destroy an entire planet?

Because the empire kicks ass, it’s one of the coolest Star Wars factions if not the coolest. And palpatine is hard to hate

HAAHAAHAHA HOOLY KEK

put me in the screenshot fags

Valley and Highlands

Are you part of it?

literally nobody is saying it KEKW Filoni meatrider cope
they ruined a fucking thrawn! filoni can't write anything that ain't a damn cartoon

Star Wars has a bit of an issue with making villains way too likable.

mahboi.jpg - 700x466, 53.42K

The Empire has virtually no effect on the daily life of the average law abiding citizen

Pretty sure an entire planet was destroyed despite majority of them being law abiding.

Who actually wanted a show of this guy? I haven't seen a single episode and I won't ever. It seems like some leftist revolutionary mary sue power fantasy. What they wish they could do. Which is odd, considering they have all the power so the Rebellion would be opposing them.

Then why are you in this thread?

And he's absolutely right. That's actually a good reason to boycott Disney, not because of a Black mermaid or whatever.

One planet out of tens of thousands, no big deal.

Because Star Wars and to join in the shitting on of this Groomsney slop.

If it doesn't happen to me it is no big deal

Typical bootlicker

why does Andor cause so much seething?

Because it's a show made in a lab with the goal of attracting the "I'm a le smart Star Wars fan and I don't need any of the following: lightsabers, good action, fun adventures, exciting characters". These fans are the loudest on places like r/starwars.

This behavior is more pathetic than people who watch groomsney slop. At least they watch Anon Babble

never been there, so i'll have to take your word for it

what's it like?

I'm just a tourist.

unironically righties can also twist this show to fit their narrative so not really bro.
Nobody wanted a show about this guy but now many love it
keep watching kiketrek then

lonni muthafuckin jung

what's it like?

What I just described. Andor could have been like an episode of "Friends" and they would scream "WHAT? YOU NEED LIGHTSABERS AND PEW PEW BLASTERS ALL THE TIME? WHO HURT YOU?"

keep watching kiketrek then

TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY and the TOS movies are a billion times better than Blandor.

It's making some attempt to be broadly anti-authoritarian or anti-fascism or anti-imperialism. They've wussed out on showing conservative or right-wing resistance / rebellion, but IRL conservatives and right-wingers are just as often opposed to those things as IRL liberals and left-wingers.

They’re just kino man. Cool faction with neat uniforms and iconic ships lead by an evil space wizard? They’re awesome man. It kinda sucks when they make them overly incompetent and evil to hammer in the point. Like they have a sleek fururistic minimalist aesthetic and evil wizard leader, I don’t need constant reminders they’re bad guys. Plus I find villain factions more threatening and intimidating when they’re competently lead and not too cartoonishly evil. It’s gotta be a balance otherwise you end up with first order slop

anonie did you write this tweet
are you Ritesh

The S1 prison arc alone was enough to totally condemn them, you can't get any more comically evil and corrupt than turning innocent people into permanent slaves forced to build a genocide laser until they die from stress, old age, or the entire floor gets blasted with lethal electricity for learning they're never getting out... in a setting where work robots are a dime a dozen

fair point but righties literally ties this into J6 and fake news media controlling the narrative so there is that

LISTEN TO ME I don't care about this thing at all but I am still giving my opinion on the matter BUT LISTEN TO MEEE!
