First 1 is the best.
2 and 3 are watchable if you liked the first.
All downhill from there until Littlest Reich where they somehow got a ton of money to make a new one. Money laundering perhaps.

I'll check out the first one. I watched Little Reich because I'm a Zahler nerd (movies and books).
Thanks

The vfx for this one were great too

Yes, imperial Japanese are bad, fashie.

Any must-see horror from the last five years? Longlegs is the best I've seen in ages.

Who are the cutest Asian chicks in horror movies?

I liked Eva Watanabe from Friday the 13th 8 (Played by Kelly Hu).

IMG_8213.jpg - 302x400, 29.18K

(Can be either native Asian chicks or Asian-American chicks, idc)

What about Native American chicks?

Are there any? Only one I can think of is Amber Midthunder.

It follows an FBI agent in the 1990s who is tasked with tracking down an occultist serial killer

Stopped reading right there. Downloading right now - love occult stuff.

For me, it's Kung-Fu.

Longlegs is a solid 5/10 and I say that as a fan of occult films. It did get me listening to T. Rex again though.

Been meaning to watch this for a minute now.

What was Fantasy's personality supposed to be?

Quirky, cute, and a nice singer to boot.

Is Final Destination Bloodlines worth seeing in cinemas? I'm a fan of the series

you have odd taste. Have you seen

Demons/Demoni

Tenebrae

Deep Red

Get Out, it really shows the evil of yts in Trumps Amerikkka

Occult (2009)

made by the same guy that did Noroi: The Curse

neat. is it as good?

I personally liked it the best of all his films but it's been ages since I've seen Noroi, I need a rewatch.

honestly, I recommend you see The Monkey. It was like a parody of Final Destination films. Long, convoluted Rube Goldberg type deaths, but in a way that's 10x more ridiculous than actual Final Destination films.

And you know how whenever death is near, the camera shows wind in the leaves, or something like that? They do the same thing, but with a toy monkey. It's great.

Yes it is. The lead actress is a dei casting but aside from that, you'll really enjoy it. Made to please fans I think and Tony Todd's appearance was great.

I swear I've seen a similar film where a toy monkey smashes cymbals together to cause bad things to happen

Monkey Shines

there's that rabbit in Caveat as well

The film centers on Tinja, a twelve-year-old gymnast

is this actually good, or is it a "Anon Babble favorite"

ding.jpg - 456x297, 23.9K

Just put it on. Definitely had some "Anon Babble moments" so far but I'll report back afterwards.

I just wanna thank the guy who recommended monsterland for me in the previous thread. I watched the first two episodes because of you and they delivered. It feels fresh even though "man is the real monster" is one of the oldest tropes in horror. I also enjoyed watching anon being radicalized into hating shadow people by redditors and a BPDemon.

An anon here rec'd it last year, I watched it and enjoyed it. I'll let you decide what you wanna do.

an evil helper monkey torments a paralyzed guy

real funny, Romero. He was a hack.

I love Argentos "Three Mothers" lore

The story of the Three Mothers opens at the beginning of the 11th century, when the origin of witchcraft is depicted as three sisters on the coast of the black sea.[2] In the years that followed, they wandered the world and amassed great personal wealth and power, leaving death in their wake. The sisters are known as, "The Mothers", hence the title of the trilogy.

Both Mater Suspiriorum and Tenebrarum have claimed that the Mothers are Death personified. In the late 19th century the women commissioned E. Varelli, an Italian architect based in London, to design and construct three stately buildings. From these enchanted, bastion-like homes, the Three Mothers "rule the world".[3] According to Varelli's memoirs, entitled The Three Mothers by an anonymous colleague, the architect learned too late of the women's evil nature. (At least six copies of the book are known to have existed. Four may have been destroyed at the end of Inferno.) The residences he designed will become so corrupted that eventually, the land they were built on will become pestilential.

Everyone likes the lore. Unfortunately he whiffed it.

Just saw the Ugly Stepsister and really liked it. When the Stepmom was shown to be making out with a younger guy, I really thought it was the Prince at first. Glad they didn't leave the "younger guy x MILF" crowd in the cold. The actress was also in a Norwegian disaster movie The Wave (2015).

She doesn't seem that ugly

Yeah, it's kino as fuck.

Reminder that Daria helped coming up with all of it.

images (22).jpg - 500x500, 49.65K

The stepsister? Yeah, I mean she's not bad but the Cinderella actress just has that natural beauty, which is of course the point. Honestly 10/10 casting overall. Also the part where she slides down the stairs is hilarious.

kek

wait is this already out on VOD?

yeah, just came out

I rewatched the Feast trilogy recently and the first one is still pretty scary and atmospheric despite being a sleazy comedy. There are a few legitimately shocking scenes even by today's desensitized standards. The sequels devolve into pure schlock but I still kinda liked them.

She helped her dad rip off "Levana and Our Ladies of Sorrow"?

Wait I'm dumb, I thought that was his daughter.

not as graceful as Kayako

hungry lookin niggas

She helped writing Suspiria.

SUSpiria?

Neat. When a muse is also an architect.

Don't mind her, she's just thinking about normal kid stuff.

just a regular joe

Not horror, but if you haven't seen Starter for 10 I'd recommend it, it's a comfy britcom about a quiz nerd and trying to date her

Hatching anon... I mean, yes it was a competent film but this was reddit trauma horror. Basically The Babadook 2..
I guess a positive review would be it's actually better than that film because children are so innocent and it hurts more to see them being sad.

Setting up what I'm watching tomorrow morning. So far I have Deer Camp '86 & The Ugly Stepsister. That means I need to fill another 60-70 minutes.

Sis binging anything is the fastest way to lose the enjoyment from it

I watch 30+ new movies every month. In October, I hit 70+ horror movies. I don't lose enjoyment in movies.

I've already seen the series up to The Most Terrifying Movie In History. I should really get on the last 4 movies.
