capeslop
Grow up.
post re-write episode were better, bringing back Karen was the right idea
Heather, Kirsten and Cherry are horrendous characters and I hope they get killed off or written out
"characters" is an overstatement
They corrected it enough in the last two episodes that I am actually looking forward to season 2. I have high hopes that Foggy is alive.
Overall it was decent. The good parts were great and the shit parts were really bad. I hate the original team for trying to distance itself from the old show but the new team did a lot of heavy lifting in regards to making it connected to the previous show. Not sure if that was a Feige mandated decision or the showrunners just wanting to do new stuff but it was a dumb decision that will forever impact Matt. Frank was a retard in episode 4 but the finale redeemed him.
Decent based on how they had to re-shoot it to make it better. Would be dead last if we rank them by seasons. Has potential to be way better in the next season.
Kirsten isn't bad she just wasn't given an arc or any meaningful scenes, she's just ugly. As for heather and cherry I can not fucking wait until they are off the show. Seriously they are complete garbage. Cherry could have worked if there were other characters around. For example cherry is the only character that knows matt is DD so it's the only opinion he hears when it comes to DD stuff. In the original show if matt wanted DD advice he would go to the church, foggy, karen, the nurse, etc.
SPOILER FOR SEASON 2
pale imitation of the og netflix show
probably best disney marvel tv series (bar which is really low)
This. It's only carried by the cast. The fight scenes are so lame and there's really weird editing/pacing issues. It feels like most of the episodes need other episodes, while the original show felt like it had progress every episode.
I still think it's better than DD S2, or at least The Hand stuff. They always kill my rewatch marathons.
too much build up for what is essentially just a 'setting up' season with a cliffhanger ending. meh
glad I binge watched it because if I waited for a lot of these episodes I probably would have been really disappointed
Donofrio's acting was pretty shit in the original Born Again scenes. I didn't really feel that I was watching the same characters from the old show.
It's a shame they were forced to use the old material because everything about it was so bland and cliche, it was completely devoid of style and emotion from any of the characters.
The last 2 episodes gave me faith in the new team but they still have a bit too many unrealistic elements in the show which the first and third season didn't have.
I have high hopes that Foggy is alive.
It's 50/50 really, the showrunner keeps cockteasing about how Foggy will appear in S2 and how important he is to Daredevil, but at the same the directors came out saying that when it comes to street-level heroes, dead means dead.
manlet daredevil
kek
Checked
Season 1 and Season 2 were supposed to be one season. So we are literally just in the middle of the season essentially.
Matt's head is literally down, dumbass
They're back at the Indian restaurant from season 2?? A date on the run?
The Hand sucked so much
uglyass and blatant cgi
choppy ass editing that makes Steven Seagel fights look brilliant
corny dialogue bordering cartoon levels of unbelievable
the most important developments and events that built up to this shitty plot are all off screen
Kingpin getting cucked and just accepting it
Matt being used just so they can insert all their own desires like boring dating scenes and praising of aging women who don't even really do anything to earn said praise
rehashing of old arcs like Matt quitting in Defenders and DD s3 for a bit, even though season 3 already proved that without Karen or Foggy in his life, he'll just go full blackpill and be Daredevil forever
no Sister Maggie, Marci, Mahoney, did they all just fucking conveniently leave Hell's Kitchen at the same time?
Karen leaves despite the pep talk she had with Maggie about not abandoning Matt even if he tries to push her away in s3 and despite the fact that she must've known from all the news that Fisk was running for mayor
Matt doing nothing but being a depressed autist for several episodes straight with nothing at all happening
How can anyone even have a hint of interest in this retarded shit lol
They're both sub 6' manlets
Punisher and Daredevil in the comics are both at least 6' and over 200 pounds of pure muscle.
All of that is getting fixed in season 2
Matt is now officially cucked by the Punisher
yeah, great writing, troon
FPBP
Capeshitters are all cucks like the fictional faggots they self-insert as lmfao
Season 2 will be even worse
That's where the cringy Defenders that no one even liked will be brought back and Matt will be teaming up with the guy who killed his best friend and made him quit being Daredevil altogether
Also some goofy ass boxing match will be happening between Fisk and some other faggot and the retarded corrupt cops storyline is continuing
Season 2 is probably going to be even worse than Season 1 was.
That never even happened.
did you even watch the episode? Karen and Frank fucked at some point between the first and last episode
Wasn't terrible, wasn't really that good either. I think it has the common side effects of most continuations of a popular series. People become greedy, hyper analyze their own success, and try to reproduce the product they sold. Yes there were brutal scenes. Yes there were long no cut action sequences. Yes they brought Kingpin back, but they missed so many chances at something good. The lawyering is such a simple no twist mystery it doesn't hold any weight. The loss of Foggy is really only reflected on in the first episode while other episodes reference it with little to no character development happening. The highlights of Daredevil's abilities were all mostly forgettable and lacked much creativity. I'm too old and syndical. I liked the concept of the villain even though I was unfamiliar. Costume design, character development, motivation, and props were pretty poor though. While I enjoyed them trying to bring back how they originally treated the Kingpin character, it just wasn't done as well this time. His fits of rage seemed predictable and uninspired. The depiction of him being a large man was pretty lost this season even though they mentioned it quite frequently in interviews.
In short, it wasn't that bad, but it was about as good as any other Marvel thing coming out right now, with obvious glaring flaws littered through out.
You really like to imagine sex between an ugly heeb and a beautiful shiksa, huh? Karen and Frank had no contact during that time.
If anyone was cucked it was Frank.
Karen asks Frank to save the man that she loves
Patches up Matt
Says no to Frank's coffee
Leaves with Matt
lol
sucks to be Frank
DD S2 was gold for the first 4 or 5 episodes about Matt vs Punisher, and then as soon as Elektra comes onscreen you can skip EVERY scene that doesn't feature Frank or Fisk.
Capeshit threads need to go on Anon Babble, but end up here.
What's the point of watching a show if you don't even care about the main character? Just curious. I've heard so many times people say that they skip scenes and I could understand if Matt was boring but he is not. The actor is great.
Daredevil doesnt wear a cape, though.
Where was Spider-man?
Matt will be teaming up with the guy who killed his best friend and made him quit being Daredevil altogether
what
I can't believe how good discussion is here almost everyone is actually talking about the show. Please for the love of all that is good, do NOT ever make bots for Anon Babble again, look how fun everyone is.
I can tell you shut it off the episode they show Kingpin getting cucked since Kingpin in no way "takes it" he puts the dude who had an affair with Vanessa into a torture cage, beats him half to death, brings Vanessa in to finish him off with a gun.
All the rest of your complaints were okay but this show really needs a Season 2 to fully condemn it I think a lot of this will be put into the show eventually.
They had so much they could have done with satire of American politics and just missed out that was my #1 problem with the front half, the worst part of the back half was seeing Matt become basically Hypocritical Bruce Wayne. Right now Daredevil would be like if Batman helped a serial killer kill people just because they were bad so he could circumvent his own No Kill Code.
7/10 but really ended ultra well and left me wanting more. If they want to make him a sexual beast then lets see some actual orgasm grunting from the ladies. Just saying lets see a fully naked lady shot. Lets do a blind man senses her skin erotica scene, fucking a.
Anyway.
It tried to be drama but failed. I couldn't care less about his dead friend, his inner conflicts, and his battle, because none of that was believable: cheap acting, poor dialogues, and flat characters ruined everything. This season also had choppy narration and spontaneous subplots that were basically leading nowhere. Punisher's arc looked far-fetched.
you aren't women, stop acting like them, it's embarrassing
this is kind of a key jingling moment like "remember this" but that's better than a complete neglect of the old show like the first version of born again.
Can I get a rundown on which episodes Punisher is part of? I don;t want to watch the rest. Thanks in advance.
