live a comfortable, carefree life

not watching movies at your local cinema

ngmi

Sounds like OP doesn't have a 7 channel setup for his kino. Sad.

i have a decent local cinema that plays films old and new, and i can get tickets for £1 because i'm a NEET. can go see something like 2001: A Space Odyssey on a weekday afternoon and it's just me.

but cinema sound systems with all the surround sound shite? those can fuck right off. audio (especially speech) is MUCH clearer with a cheap pair of headphones plugged into my PC.

You pay a whore to suck your speaker?

Every Nolan film, does the fucking retard have a hearing problem? Dialogue barely audible but the music and sound FX are ear shattering every time!!!FACT!!!

You zoomer faggots actually watch movies on a laptop instead of a tv?
I worry for the future

Bro watches movies on his computer...

i have a nice curved monitor in front of my face. i use it to read shit like this, it's perfectly comfortable. not like squinting at a smartphone.

as far as my eyes are concerned it's not much different to seeing a big screen from a reasonable distance in a cinema. and i am guaranteed to see everything straight-on. it's mad cinemas have seats so far off to the side: feel like they should be designed as triangular rooms or something.

what is an hdmi cable

what is ssh

what is jellyfin

please tell me you don't actually use cable and smart tv streaming services

GET BETTER SPEAKERS

nolan films sound great in surround sound

kodi or GTFO

lmao plebs watching with stereo sound on laptop speakers or headphones in 2025
I've had these for 15 years

has 6.1 ears instead of 2

i guarantee i can make out audio better than you with two mini speakers right up in my ears.

this post gave me the ick

On Plex client go to Settings -> Audio section -> Passthrough -> Select Optical -> Optical -> Select DTS

you don't like mumbly brit kino?

why is this so common now? I never had to do this 5 years ago.

It's been a common issue for at least 10 years now, it's because companies think everyone has a 7 speaker setup at home when that's not the case. It's just laziness on the sound mixer's part.

same reason they keep ruining colors by adding shit/piss/blue filters to things probably

Amazon Prime offers a "Boost dialogue" option :-)

Bro thinks watching his PC is like being at a cinema...

Lol this nigger goes on r/raidshadowlegends

It isn't, it's even better than the cinema.

All that and the movie is so dark you can't see shit, except when they put fucking texting on screen because kids like to text, right?. We live in golden times.

getting real tired of women and subtitles

watching terminator: dark fate

fight scene

so many jump cuts that I can't tell who is who anymore

The laptop is connected to the TV via HDMI cable, smartasses.

retards

can't pause

other people are there

no control over volume

Theaters made sense when everyone didn't own their own screen, idk what they're for now.

A cinema experience is still vastly better than at-home, no matter how good your setup is.

What you should have just said was

I have no friends to go with so I'll just make up trivial reason CINEMA BAD

I primarily watch movies on my TV now, but I remember it being cozy just sitting in a dark room watching movies or shows on my computer with headphones on. It's especially immersive for horror / tense movies.

dunno lol2.webm - 1000x562, 1.29M

switch the audio to stereo

as a real nigga, I understand your struggle brotha. Now oil up

but I remember it being cozy just sitting in a dark room watching movies or shows on my computer with headphones on. It's especially immersive for horror / tense movies.

Agree, specially when you're tucked in bed. When I first got a 27" monitor years ago, for some time I would still put it on my bed when watching a movie just like I would do with a laptop.

watching 7.1 audio on a 2.0 setup

this. The reason it's so uneven is that you're tryna do surround on stereo, or vice versa.

source: me. This drove me nuts until I figured out what was going on.

Watching something you actually want to watch with a woman is like sharing filet mignon with a downy who's going to drool all over your food
Subs are the least of your problens when you're watching the televisual equivalent of chicken nuggies

this but when someone speaks on the third mic on million dollar podcasts that have 3 producers but no one fixes the audio levels
or the audio is just way too fucking bassy

watching a show on a moderate volume

commercial break starts

I'M LOSING WEIGHT, WITH MY FATASS PHARMA DRUGS FOR DUMB FAT LAZY RETARDS AND YOU CAN DO

There's no hope now, but the FTC should have made this shit illegal years ago

they did but they get around it by cranking up the bass

it's so loud it blows out my speakers harder than a 2 dollar whore

this doesn't mean anything
