Psychotherapy was literally created exclusively for women. The Reddit meme of telling men to "go to therapy" ignores that all psychotherapeutic techniques literally were not made for men - and it's questionable whether they even work on women. Some people genuinely need meds because they're fucked in the head, psychiatry has some validity regarding genuine mental illnesses like schizophrenia and bipolar disorders, but this modern day "I'm taking two SSRIs and anti-anxiety meds after talking to a shrink twice because I couldn't sleep because of my midterms" is fucking nonsensical.
