He's really good in Terms of Endearment, playing just a normal charming ex-astronaut dude who gets Shirley MacLaine's character to stop being so uptight, got himself a supporting actor Oscar for it.

too many to choose from there but I can easily tell you one of his worst. the terror. hard to believe its the same guy he's soooo wooden and awful.
I've got to agree with "Five Easy Pieces" everything that Jack Nicholson does well, he does in that film: he's intense, funny, scary, crazy, angry. I think that film would have been nothing if they cast anybody else as the lead, Nicholson is what brings it to life.
