Don't bother they didn't really stick the landing. When all the mysteries eventually get solved it loses all its steam and then we have some gay causality asspull ending. The ending is legitimately stupid. Basically everything before the basement is great.
The two guys who transform at the end are basically double agents and this is when the rest of their comrades find out for the first time. It's a cool scene but unfortunately the audience already knew who they were. It's interesting more for the character interactions going on.
I ended up reading the wiki and everything that follows S2 sounds absolutely bizarre, even the most talented storyteller would have difficulty bringing all that to a coherent close.
The end of Attack on Titan is literally perfect just like the rest of the show.

Yeah it's kind of like LOST in that way. Tons of really cool ideas and great characters but the mythology was so bloated by the end it all got to be a bit much for me personally.

they fucked up the last season(s) mainly cause Eren flip-flops throughout scenes, he does one thing, but talks another. They should have just made him committed to Rumbling, to defeating all enemies with resolve. Staying true to what he said to Reiner in that basement, basically. The plot would remain exactly the same, yet he wouldnt be such a bitch.
I like how the Big-Guy titan slowly gets more powerful each time they show him transform until they just decide "uhh... he's a nuke" to the point where his transformation is arguably more important than the fact he is big, like we can't just go back to the first episode and see that's blatantly not true

Last season was absolute kino, and I am tired of pretending that people who don't think so are normal.
Rumbling is one of the best depiction of mass destruction ever put on screen and Eren did the right thing.
Imagine that something destroys a third of your entire country, for years you try to pick up the pieces, you are on the brink of losing another third, and then your friend and comrade in arms that genuinely fought for you all that time has a fucking meltdown, and just blurts out that he is the one who did it, and this happened during a transition scene which was supposed to be an end of an episode, and this happens in the background wile scene is focused on another group.
I had to rewind it numerous times.
after you get past all the convoluted lore it's pretty simple, the final arc just comes down to eldians vs the world but hackyama or his editor decided to sandbag it because genocide is a hard sell

I was into it until the ending, and the fanbase tried its very hardest to convince me Erens "character development" wasn't just bad writing.Seriously though, I was 100% on board with Eren turning full villain. It's pointed out on numerous occasions that he's doing what he's doing because he didn't like the way the world was outside the walls, and that was totally fucking fine. Eren becoming a comically evil world-ending threat was actually the best thing about the show aside from its OST. But at the last second suddenly being like "actually he's a martyr and he's doing this to protect his people, Oh and he's also really really torn up about that girl he ignored all series and never once showed any romantic interest in".

I remember the hopium epidemics it caused, first with people thinking Eren was actually playing 4d chess and would revert back to Hobo Eren, then later hoping that there would be a different anime only ending. A lot of fans were shitting on it.

The series is 9/10 if you stop at the end of S3. That's all you needed to get out of it. S4 needlessly convolutes everything, and honestly makes me really dislike 90 percent of the cast. One of my favorite comments that I ever saw was "Eren and Floch are the only two guys who remember season one."
In that 36 second clip we have all the classic hallmarks:
-bad art with really washed out colours and homogenous character designs that are indistinguishable from any other show
-cheap cgi
-bad direction, especially the way characters portray emotions by completely overdoing it
-crying and screaming constantly, no subtlety
-nearly all the characters are aged 10-15 (because that's the target demographic)
-people have superpowers for some reason
-nuclear level explosion happens but nobody gets injured, there's no stakes at all
