Why there are no movies about the covid pandemic

why there are no movies about the covid pandemic

soon

the Covid pandemic was the real life adaptation of the movie Contagion

why are ((they)) not making movies to remind people of that time ((they)) shut the entire world down and doubled their wealth at the expense of everyone else???

I don't think They want people to remember that era

Cause it was boring as fuck

Give it a couple decades

How long was it? 3 years? I felt it was all 1 year. Fuck them, they took 3 years of our life

We really overreacted in retrospect

memory holed
also people don't want to be reminded of how insane everyone acted during the pandemic

it could work as a comedy

Because it is time to forgive and forget.

Make it about special forces with drones and helicopters chasing down lonely guys on walks in the middle of national parks

why there are no movies about the covid pandemic

There's a couple but they're low-budget indie snoozefests

They memoryholed covid

I watched it but I can't remember if I liked it or not. Some character gets their hand shot away from snipers and Karen's character pee herself, that I remember.

Maybe not movies but wasn't there a recent Futurama episode that was a parody of the pandemic?

Now that I think about it, there's pic related.
They have to do an exorcism via Zoom call because of the lockdowns, but it's played straight and not for laughs.

Early COVID was so comfy. Back in dec 2019 with vids coming out of China of people just collapsing and laying dead in the streets.
By March or April 2020 the west finally started locking down but everyone in the know was aware that COVID was a nothing urgent flu. Even in Jan/Feb 2020 they were telling people to stop being racist and go to the lunar new year festivals and hug a chink. Then surprise surprise they want you fired and public ally shamed for not wearing a face diaper or hugging your mom. What a shit show.

nobody forced you to lockdown
nobody forced you to take it
nobody forced you to work from home
nobody forced you to become a hermit thats only allowed to enter supermarkets and nothing else for 2 years

Why does this webbum make me angry every time i see it

just forget it chud

The first few months were oddly comfy. Almost makes you nostalgic for being locked down and watching Tiger King. Then May comes along and some retarded nigger OD's on Fentanyl while in Minneapolis PD custody and the entire country burns for months. Damn 2020 was such a surreal shitshow.

Thats wrong, you were literally going to prison if you didnt do it. Atleast in my country

that post is ironic anon

Songbird

It was too lame and stupid

reminder that most people died of secondary bacterial infections and hooking patients to ventilators was a death sentence

Careful what you wish for chud

ME OWN FOOKIN SON DEVELOPED COVID IN A LAB

I liked this.
A good example of how much drivel can be omitted from your flick when you're not conceited enough to think it merits a 90+m runtime.
Hope more producers do this

It was fun, I worked as a quarantine security guard at a hospital getting to refuse people entry all day, it was fun to tell Karen to get fucked idgaf that her dads dying she ain't getting in. man people really lost their shit back then, never had people try to spit on me like that ever before or since.
still tho, the pay was INSANELY good, like 60 an hour for 10 hour shifts, like the entire fuckin covid thing.
Man I really liked making angry people seethe for that wage.

Security Guard

My favorite thing is disobeying you and knowing your only legal recourse is to call the cops who will never get there in time to stop me doing whatever it is I want to do.

They will pop up in the 2030s and 2040s, when the covid kids are grown up and want to know what the fuck happened. Right now, everyone has lived through it and we don't want to remember.

I don't know about you guys, but I was desperate, I lost my job, depleted my savings, was absolutely depressed and anxious, I lost an aunt and a teacher to covid, I had health problems that I had to postpone so not to use the hospital, a lot of places got closed, lost contact with friends, my friends with kids were struggling with their online schooling system, my 90yo grandpa was lonely because no one would visit him and risk an infection. It was by far the most miserable moment of my life, pure bleakness and grief.

I got to wfh and got a new gf February 2020 that I proceed to creampie everyday for the next few years. I loved covid, it was so fucking comfy

In 2020 I was working from home too, but my job was supervising a library, so what could we do? We started sending public domain ebooks and audiobooks to the users, hoping to open up the next week. But it kept going and there was not much else we could do. Eventually, they fired a bunch of people, me included and I was not even mad because I wasn't doing anything at that point, though I missed the money greatly.

I had a girlfriend too (now my wife), we were fighting everyday because we were 24/7 together and sex declined from once every other day to once every two months.

So I envy you my friend

Do we really need a thread like this every day?

uwuiwwuwu.jpg - 1440x1726, 1.64M

no one mentions covid anymore - this is like a first time in months

Because it sums up the entire dynamic of western countries - there is a crisis, unless you are spouting communist propaganda.
Imagine this was actual flesh-eating virus, you will die because some cocksucking berniebro with WEF backing is allowed to spread it everywhere, across multiple countries.

There was an identical thread yesterday

link? I'm here almost 24/7 and I don't remember it

I'm here almost 24/7

YOU may have. I didn’t panic buy, take a clot shot, or volunteer to wear a mask. I didn’t know it was bullshit right away. I started thinking it was when some people I knew were getting sick, and it was fucking nothing. People look at china, north korea, nazi germany, and wonder how people could believe the propaganda. Well I saw you all fall for it, and even get weaponized against your fellow americans, blind followers have always been a thing.

Money doesn't want to go near it. If it was a story about the whole thing, they'd need to explore how bad the lockdowns were in order to justify the use of the vaccine, or they'd need to downplay the damage of the lockdowns in order to justify the failure of the vaccine.

In a few years there might be more progress in getting people to forget how serious the lockdowns were or how the vaccine was originally marketed as preventing covid 100%.

covid? pandemic?

anon, what the fuck are you talking about?

in taboo, (tom hardy tv show), there was a scene where they were larping covid type of stuff. and that was made in 2016 or something. (released 2017)

what do you mean larping covid?

there was a scene where they wore covid masks. and did some social distan
cing type of stuff. predictive programming.

Yes, it is our moral duty to make fun of vaxcucks and remind them of their cowardice.

wake up Anony it's 2009 and you're late for classes

wait til you hear the plot of this (2013)...

it's hilarious how they changed the genocidal scientist to gypsy instead of Jew for the final version

People are so desperate to believe in something... Bonus points if they can persecute/be persecuted for it.

you think viruses, quarantine, minimizing contagion is something new? fucking retard. This was the response because these things spread like wildfire and killed millions in the past. Morons like you want it to happen again. you'll blame them if they try to stop it and blame them if they don't stop it.

Right here.

aaaadea.jpg - 1120x1600, 103.98K

are you referring to the spanish flu?
it showed them being actually detrimental

what covid pandemic? Take your meds, schizo

that movie contagion was literally predictive programming for covid. if you don't think so, then I think you're a retard.

so was taboo

I'm still bamboozled that if it came from a lab, no-one has been held accountable for the trillions of dollars of damage and millions of lives lost. Even if you think covid doesn't exist, lots of people lost their lives from not having access to healthcare, e.g. people on chemo and stuff.

Lockdowns were completely new and completely contrary to any earlier effective precautions.

If you remember the justification at the time was that everyone could do a few weeks of lockdown and this would mean that we'd never have to do an expensive quarantine of vulnerable people or use an experimental treatment that might not work. In the end we did have to do all of those things and also suffer the negative effects of the lockdown.

Overall the real story of covid is the damage caused by the lockdowns. There is no reason to think that a focus on protecting the vulnerable would have resulted in worse outcomes than the insistence on the specific lockdown protocols.
