Okay that was really weird. I know Doctor Who sometimes lean into twee emotion nonsense solving the plot but how the fuck does Donna's daughterson being transgender solve the plot? And that whole meeting when Tennant gets dressed down for being a man? Baffling. It wasn't boring but I'd be embarrassed to show this to a friend.

It felt like it was going to be a 2-parter but they cut it down or something. Or maybe it made sense to RTD but he forgot how to write. There's a lot of stuff that could have been built up but instead came out of nowhere.

You know what would've been kino? If rather than Rassilon when they had the time lords being the big bad in new Who, it was the Rani. All her evil science shit and then the time lords make her the big overlord to fight the daleks. I'd even accept the magical "AND WE ARE BESTOWING YOU, THE DOCTOR, WITH EXTRA REGENERATIONS" a little more if it came from the Rani since at least she was presumably milking time lords to do it or something. If they actually bring back a character who was in like 2 serials and neither was any good, and it will be hyped like a big deal, I will probably die on the spot. And I don't even watch it anymore.
