The Criterion Collection, Inc. (or simply Criterion) is an American home-video distribution company that focuses on licensing, restoring and distributing "important classic and contemporary films"
The Criterion Collection, Inc...
Best Picture. Criterion never misses.
I thought the movie was dumb but that's actually a hot as fuck cover
So glad the industry and culture that thinks this is best picture is about to collapse from tariffs.
Grim
the rare year where the academy awards gave the best picture oscar to what was actually the year's best picture
You didn't like Anora? Why not? And what did you think was the best picture of 2024?
The mind of a brown coomer
try again with a real criticism this time
Here's your Oscar winner bro
They hated him because he told them the truth
you have incredibly terrible taste

2nd to last paragraph
did they just not watch the last scene or something? It literally shows the opposite, that being a whore has turned her into a husk of a person who can't understand basic human intimacy. How did they not get that?
They unironically got filtered.
A little better, but still well off the mark. Third time's the charm to find a real criticism.
Napoleon Dynamite's had a more organic impact on the culture + deserves to be in Criterion Collection!
I'm actually surprised that Hess' filmography hasn't come to Criterion considering Wes Anderson's has and they're in the same wheelhouse
Why did this movie get a criterion release so quickly?
Parasite...
It only won because they're trying to redefine the word prostitution to "sex work", and normalise it so the next generation of underage girls can grow up into disgusting whores.
It's typical hollywood groomer behaviour.
criterion is a woke propaganda company now, sorry chud
They included Rushmore right after its release because critics were all hands on deck, just like Anora. They didn't even wait to have it pass the test of time. Hess is too pleb and more into the outsider coexisting with the family structure (mormons.) WesA has crawled up his own ass and somehow that's art with equi-distant placement of knick knacks. ND is closer to Sonatine immho
I know a lot of people love that movie, but it didn't work for me. I thought once you had the twist with the maid's husband being alive in the bomb shelter the story went in a much less interesting direction than what came before it. I also really dislike the trope in Korean movies of having a hyperviolence finale where the movie suddenly turns into a fucking episode of Super Jail. I can not understand why so many Korean movies do this.
nah that's bullshit. This is not some third wave feminist movie about women's liberation through whoring like Poor Things. The film humanizes Ani, but does not glamorize being a whore and shows prostitution as unquestionably a negative thing.
oh also forgot to mention what I thought the best movie of 2019 was in place of Parasite. Just looked at the list of US releases from that year, and wow that was a fucking grim year. But 1917 was definitely my favorite of the bunch.
being a whore has turned her into a husk of a person who can't understand basic human intimacy
are you for real?
20% of zoomer girls are already engaged in some kind of online prostitution
it's over
Weinstein core
