Letterboxd top 4
First three are solid. Flip-flop between Blade Runner and Hard Boiled a lot.
Why do you particularly like 2001?
I'll be called a pretentious pseud however.
blade runner is the best film ever made
Favorite special effects kino. I particularly like space exploration. Also like hard sci-fi existential ideas and themes.
predator
the thing
the matrix
bloodsport
The visuals and the set design are GOAT tier. But the rest is utter dogshit. The third act shits the bed.
Good Time
Blues Brothers
Lost Highway
Mind Game
cant be bothered to post a screenshot
blues brothers
evil dead 2
king of comedy
men in black

Here's a 3 x 3 instead.
Don't really have a favorite
The Thing
Climax
Office Space
Fritz the Cat
Unless you’re literally 15 years old this is a pretty bad top four. I mean at least you seem to be right on the verge of actually getting into good movies I guess but other than Sorcerer that’s a line-up of 7’s at best.
I made a 3x3 because I don't have a letterboxd account
Despite it being pretty obvious what all those movies are, this is the most profoundly autistic way to format a “top [x]” rundown that I’ve ever seen, holy shit.
Holy fuck I spoke too soon, this is the most cancerous zoomer shit I’ve ever seen. I really hope it’s b8 because anybody who unironically has this as their top 9 movies of all time should be euthanized
You'd probably like Mishima (1985) if you haven't seen already.
it's on my watchlist, will do
That shot in the middle from the dragon kiddie film sticks out like a sore thumb.
takeshits
Kek. It's not bait and the guy isn't even an idiot.
Coming Home
McCabe and Mrs. Miller
King of Marvin Gardens
In the Company of Men
Would also recommend Patriotism (1966) by Yukio Mishima himself. The Sword of Doom (1966) and Demons (1971) as well, I figure.
It's a common format here. How new are you?
the guy
You mean (you)?
durrr uh hey come on now THAT GUY has a point give HIM a chance HE actually is right you know!
Ok yeah totally bro
worst one posted so far, congrats.
Thanks
Lower left is from the same series
I'm a millennial if it helps.
Nah. Not me. He posts those often, usually a topsters chart. He posted a 16k word essay on Big Hero 6 the other day, so I can't help but like him a little.
Duh it’s a common format but using ambiguous screenshots from scenes that make one stim the hardest is unbelievably gay. Works a lot better if you’re just using the poster art or some sort of cover art, I mean when you do something like an Anon Babble 3x3 of albums you don’t post a collage of sine waves from your favorite few moments of the album rather than just what it actually is. Does that make any sense to you?
he
him
Ok
Hey, you remember me! Thanks. I'm glad someone now knows about the essay. Only a handful of people have seen it.
Does that make any sense to you?
Way ahead of you. Pro-tip: CD covers have different aspect ratio.
Lower left is from the same series
I know. I'm just saying color contrast on that middle image looks like absolute ass as part of the collage.
I'll pick another one and photoshop it in.
Which Batman movie and scene is that on center right? I don't remember him ever hanging out with soldier in Fallujah.
I was really surprised by how much I liked Thunder Road
Stop replying to yourself faggot, if you had any idea how widely hated you are here you wouldn’t be pulling this look-at-me shit
You sound like a schizo
Bravo I guess if that’s all you have to say to that..
What about mine?
Man middle school was such a simpler time. Big ups little bro, enjoy it while it lasts
For all the big dicking in taste terms ITT, I've yet to see anything impressive.
I present mine for insepction.
im not joining some gay website but heres my top 10 after running my top 200 through a ranking engine where you pick either or for like 500 questions:
1 The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou
2 Starship Troopers
3 Kingdom of Heaven
4 Inglorious Basterds
5 Inside Llewyn Davis
6 Jurassic World
7 Shin Godzilla
8 The Way of the Gun
9 Hellboy 2: The Golden Army
10 Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man's Chest
Hardcore Henry twice in the last ten posts
I refuse to believe this many people are this retarded, if it’s not a samefag then I don’t know what to think because that movie was OKAY but anyone who would unironically call it one of their top four favorite movies has to have some severe learning disabilities or at the very least a decent helping of brain damage
im not joining some gay website
bet here’s my list
it’s basically the gayest shit imaginable
except Verhoeven kino but I wouldn’t even put Starship Troopers in my top three from him
Dang, boi. This one's quite awful.
im not joining some gay website
but here I am making a list after answering a gay 500 questions quiz
Howling
So you can’t come up with your own opinions, you have to run it through a quiz program kek
Okay. Roast me or whatever, fagets.
2/4
the thing and tgbatu are good
all fine picks, but other than michael clayton, the directors have better kinos
It’s okay, nothing special. You seem like the kind of person nobody necessarily dislikes but a big part of that is they also don’t really think about you. Bland is the word I’m looking for.
Pretentious pseud is the entire thread so you'd fit right in.

I know that but those movies simply hold the highest sentimental value for me.
For example, Casino is one of my favorites because it was always airing on cable, late at night whenever I used to visit my grandparent's. The Evil Dead was also the first movie that I ever saw with my father, it's also one of the best filmmaking tales ever with Raimi and Campbell just shooting that shit fresh out of college.
I know that but those movies simply hold the highest sentimental value for me.
fair enough
Starship Troopers
good
The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou
Kingdom of Heaven
Inside Llewyn Davis
Shin Godzilla
The Way of the Gun
Hellboy 2
Dead Man's Chest
meh
Inglorious Basterds
bad
Jurassic World
awful
Lost Highway
I can't like this film. First 2/3 are trve lynch kino, but mansion scene and everything after this - straight up trash. Did Lynch tired to make fun of someone with this gorefest?
