which was a parody of KILL TONY
basically he would invite people and ask them ways to kill anthony fantano

It's just not in Tim's wheelhouse to do this sort of parody. He always just comes off as seething.

tim heidecker seems like a cool youth pastor who got rejected by a teenage boy that one time at camp after confessing his love while sitting at the lake. he cried a little but mostly just turned towards alcoholism and left the church growing bitter. every time he walks past a bunch of smiling broccoli heads he gets angry and at home he starts punching walls before falling to his knees and crying into his bloody hands.

He seems to take the Bill Burr stance that the show is bullying, but as a longtime listener it sure seems like most bucket pulls get a warm reception. They have virtually never been cut off like in this parody.
There's no attempt to parody Redban in the trailer? No D Madness? Is Tim even trying with this?
The thing to really parody is how fake Kill Tony is. We're at the point where you can't go two episodes without the guest spilling the beans that they already know the "bucket pulls". The Gabriel Iglesias episode was really blatant in the way he kept pushing for them to get more time. It's very obviously an "I'll do your show if you put on my guys" scenario.
Kill Tony is the NXT of comedy. It's a pipeline to capture upcoming young comedians and train them in a specific style as an investment in the future of Texas stand-up. This isn't what the show started as and this is worthy of parody.
What Tim is doing in this trailer seems to just be bitter. You have to be a fan of something to do a good satire of it.
