Which Star Wars movie can you go without?

This one and last jedi, rise of Skywalker and Solo
None of them. I need everything Star Wars inside of me all the time. My favorite lightsaber color is green. I love Asajj Ventress. My favorite droids are the droideka. My favorite vehicle is The Outrider. My favorite alien is the dianoga. My favorite game is Rogue Squadron on the N64.
All of them because Star Wars is gay. Maybe keep the prequels if only because it's fun making fun of the retards who enjoy them.
sequels shouldn't exist period
complete shit stain of a trilogy
Dianoga is a great creature if you see Terryl Witlatch’s concept art it’s really amazing
The ones after Lucas? I somewhat like the prequels although there are really crappy parts of the prequels, also cool moments
How can you skip the one with the best aesthetics and best cinematography?
clones is the weakest of the prequels but you can't just not watch it if you're running through them
I didn't watch the last 3. Original 3 are all solid. AOTC is a bad movie but Phantom Menace might be one of the worst movies I've ever seen. They both have horrible acting and dialogue but Phantom Menace story is just retarded and the pacing is terrible too. There's these extremely long periods of no action whatsoever. That'd be okay if the story was good but it isn't. AOTC at least has some fun action throughout that can make it more worth watching.
All 6 films are certified kino.
Disney slop isn't Star Wars.
Keep: 1, 3, 4, 5
Dump all the rest
AOTC is bad as TLJ and ROS almost feel like a parody
I was just thinking about it and... TPM and AOTC are just both really unnecessary movies. You could just jump to ROTJ and solve the first 2 movies by utilizing the opening sprawl.... Something like...
"The chancellor of the galactic republic has been captured by the fearsome general grievous. Above the skies of Coruscant a space fight breaks out between the republic and the rebellious trade federation- Jedi Knights Anakin Skywalker and Obi Wan are sent on a mission to find and retrieve the chancellor."
What are the other 2 movies even good for? Going to ROTS just cuts to the chase in a good way.
gotta keep aotc just so you can watch anakincel skywalker spill his spaghetti all over hershlag and moan about sand
it's cringe kino
the entire sequel trilogy obviously, even in concept a sequel trilogy would be at best pointless and disney has certainly show just how bad it could really get
in theory the TPM and AoTC were about showing Anakins more positive side before his fall and planting the seeds for his eventual fall, but due to a combination of shit planning and direction they might as well be filler episodes
The first is all you need.
Any of the ones made after 2014
i don't get this complaint when you have constant cutbacks to anakin and padme moping around on naboo in AOTC. phantom slows down before and after the podrace/maul encounter, but once they leave coruscant for naboo it's a fast and clean run to the three-way final battle. phantom beats the piss out of clones for me, with obi v jango and the clone assault on geonosis being the only real standout moments
you can unironically replace TPM and AOTC with 2D or 3D Clone Wars
The Phantom Menace
Attack of the Clones
Revenge of the Sith
Empire Strikes Back
Return of the Jedi
The Force Awakens
The Last Jedi
The Rise of Skywalker
And the spinoffs and the TV shows, and every game except Battlefront's I and II. Not the shitty remakes, the original PS2 releases. Yes, even those faggot KOTOR games that every loser who couldn't play a real RPG played and pretended was the second coming of space jesus claims is a good game.
i've seen some pretty pathetic "look at me!" posts in my time, but THIS...
Jedi
The sequel trilogy, the Clone Wars animated movie, Solo, Rogue One.
I will instead answer with the kino
3>5
That is all
You read a lot of your own posts, huh?
The Clone Wars animated film, can just watch the series
5
three fours
weak
All of them
every film after Episode 3.
weak
The Phantom Menace starts with like 30 seconds of action followed by what, I don't know, feels like over an hour before any action again. What the fuck is that kind of pacing? By the time you get to the action, any reasonable person has checked out.
Star Wars begins and ends with Dark Forces 1
you can throw literally everything else away
3... because the novelization turns a good movie into a 10/10 masterpiece
Every Disney Star Wars movie. Every Pre-Disney Star Wars movie is essential viewing, in my opinion.
rogue one was decent at least
This. Plus, the action is also pretty low stakes. Any time in the prequels Jedi are fighting enemies with blasters, they effortlessly deflect the shots as they compete to use the coolest moves and tricks to defeat them. Obi Wan has his jumping split kick and his dumb wushu stance complete with bunnie ears. Anakin has his signature behind the back twirl. Qui Gon dispatches one droid, sheaths his sword like he’s a samurai, before casually throwing the last few away with the force, while Obi Wan flourishes his sword. Mace Windu leaps over a droid in a full flip, then casually deflects a blast behind his back, destroying the droid. Yoda jumps from one clone to another, impaling them. Obi Wan leaps from his crashing starfighter to immediately begin slashing droids.
Unless you’re Coleman Trebor getting absolutely embarrassed by Fett (who then spins his blaster like he’s in a fucking western, and all but blows on the barrel), the only time this doesn’t apply in order 66, where suddenly we’re meant to feel pathos for these invincible, sociopathic monks, who up until now have been indiscriminately been cutting everything down with their neon glowstick swords, and throwing cool kendo poses, bruce lee kicks, firetwirling style flourishes and wushu style acrobatics into the mix whenever they get a chance. Suddenly they can’t remember how to block everything like Neo from the matrix and we should feel bad for them?
At least when Luke fights on the sail barge, he takes a blaster shot to his hand, and it’s somewhat believable Lando, Han and Chewie might be in danger briefly (before Boba Fett desperately starts jobbing like his life depends on it). Obi Wan, paired with his master, his apprentice, OR even the head of his monastic order getting into a fight with some uncivilised plebeians using blasters plays out like the two enlightened beings are having a breakdancing style competition at the expense of sentient life. Even the droids show fear, crying out “no no no” as Anakin unnecessarily goes for a flying hack, getting as much airtime as he can to make his mullet swish in the air, while just across the the room, Obi Wan chimps out because a droid he didn’t completely kill interrupts his post execution flourish into pose gameplan.
In a later scene, when Grievous joins the fight. “Your move” says Obi Wan, absolutely brimming with child like enthusiasm. What cool tricks will this metal man do? Spinning, it turns out. And it is indeed a cool trick. A brief flicker of fear, and then his eyes light back up. God this is cool, he thinks. This is a man who will give Maul all the room in the world he needs to throw butterfly kicks and b-twists. Meanwhile, the galaxy suffers as it burns for his amusement. I hate the Jedi order’s culture around combat, especially given their hypocritical stance that they are above base impulses. I particularly hate Obi Wan telling Anakin of for his much more normal desire to sleep with Natalie Portman when this idiot savant madman is constantly planning which window he can jump out of like James Bond.
And this problem doesn’t stop there. It continues under Disney , where all the fights devolve into “who can do the absolute sickest martial arts movies against these idiot storm troopers”. WWE style chokeslams. Donnie Yen doing some hong kong cinema style bo- staff work against them. Darth Vader unleashing his full power except it’s against some absolutely mediocre, mundane infantrymen. Endless modernist, John Wick style “cinematic” takedowns that really make you, the viewer, feel like batman.
War, it seems, makes one not great unless you can hit a three sixty fucking no scope. Then you’re “aura farming”.
Fucking zoomer wars.
Colloseum in 2 is fun and so is the rain planet with jango. City beginning scenes aren't bad either and dooku in general is soul. Any of 7 or 8 easily the worst, 9 has a little novelty with the emperor returning and yellow saber soiface moment
I'm an OT fag and yep. Rogue One is very good.
Boring
I agree menace is worse than attack. I think people give it credit for maul and Obi jinn action but it's the kiddiest movie and the adventure is actually too long compared to the good stuff, especially hate anakins planet and most jar jar stuff. That said the story might be the most complex in the OG 6. Maul is good but less interesting than Dooku
Kids movie
I like the original Star Wars and Phantom Menace, Empire Strikes Back is boring but tolerable, Revenge is gold mixed with shit, RoTJ is very bad and Clones is unwatchable.
At least he likes the original. Can't imagine not thinking empire is a great desperate fantasy and return touches any man's soul when Vader stands up for Luke plus jabas lair altogether. But still admitting 4 is good is respectable
return of the jedi is very bad
phantom menace is favorite
This Is much worse taste than not liking star wars at all. Your favorite is way more kiddie than ewoks which doesn't remotely bring down Jabba lair and the amazing epic death star emperor and Vader encounter that is the single most soulful duel in the series and peak pretty much.
none
they're all kino
that's not Star Wars
those are Disney Wars
stunningly based
the recent shit
return, the sequels, and solo
the first two films were kino, especially empire; the prequels have nostalgic value to me; rogue was okay
