The black pill is accepting that Family Guy aged much better than South Park. Who the fuck is going to watch the Mel gibson episode, or the tom cruise in the closet, or the britney spears episode of south park nowadays? No one, that shit aged like milk. And new episodes? Who the fuck watches south park? Their target audience was 15 to 22 years old, but seriously, no person in this age range is watching south park, they are watching anime, tiktok or mr beast

I liked the drone episode since it targeted my autism for drones

It was always going to happen by virtue of the South Park guys going out of their way to make their episodes topical. Their short production timeline allowed them to do episodes focusing on current events which made them funny and relatable at the time but it almost guarantees episodes will become dated fast, even if the zeitgeist doesn't shift significantly.

but even then, it aged like spoiled milk, can you imagine a 15 year old watching the mel gibson episode, this shit would be absolutely alien, it may as well be gibberish

good.
get those niggers reading about history and culturally events

OP being a baiting retard as usual.

I like new family guy.

Why? A family guy episode from 2004 is as watchable as it was back then, the same can not be said about a south park episode, if you think so you're blinded by nostalgia

Gibson was based, Parker and Stone know as less of Cruise's sexuality as they do of their own, and all of their past 8 years of pop culture views have been the safest shit known to man.

Want to know what their "hottest" pop culture views are? "Kathleen Kennedy wants to make their properties for chicks and gay". Mother fucker. There's been about a thousand other YouTubers who have made that argument.

Parker and Stone are over-the-hill losers who have no balls to actually challenge the culture they live in, making them irrelevant.

There weren't any family guy episodes in 2004 anon. The show was canceled.
Now South Park in 2004 opened with Good Times With Weapons and that is still as funny today as it was back then.
Sorry you fucked up by picking the worst year to make your case.

I've been watching back through South Park and the opposite is true. South Park aged perfectly. Despite being rooted in its time the things that they cover never feel dated because they're not just shallow references.
For example you don't need to know anything about Barbara Streisand to get Mech-Streisand because they flesh her out within the show. Even a shallow reference like Eric Roberts being washed up works today because Eric Roberts is still washed up and doing movies.
What's most interesting about South Park is watching it mature from the very early episodes which are self-indulgent "haha we got this shit on tv" to actual concise biting humour.
Family Guy has aged like shit because it is full of shallow references and a comedy style that isn't timeless and is very out of fashion.

And new episodes? Who the fuck watches south park?

What is it even on? The last episode that I saw was the one that looked like it was going to be a series finale, years ago. I think that was their lowkey way of saying the show was unofficially done, and now it's just for money. I stay in a lot of hotels for....reasons, and I never see it on the cable channels, and I haven't had cable since like 2015. I don't get it, is it on Paramount+ or Max? Exclusively Comedy Central? Is there even a Comedy Central anymore? It was a good show though. Woodland Critter Christmas is timeless.

I watch old episodes of south park multiple times a week. It only got bad around season 13.

Woodland Critter Christmas is timeless.

Another episode from 2004.
Now OP which 2004 episodes of Family Guy hold up to that one?

A family guy episode from 2004 is as watchable as it was back then

No it's not. It was never funny

the same can not be said about a south park episode

Lying retard. Awesme-O isn't watchable? Christ you're retarded.

I enjoyed all those episodes and the actors they're making fun of. Mel and Tom are awesome

i enjoy both shows for different reasons

I always found it ironic that Matt and Trey hated Family Guy for having interchangeable jokes that "aren't related to the plot" when they did the same shit in South Park just in a less blatant manner. Damn near every episode of SP uses pop culture references as a crutch in the same vein as Family Guy, but they center entire episodes around them so apparently that makes it okay. It just comes off as pretentious. If the show focused more on its own characters perhaps then they'd have a point, because the best episodes really are the ones centered around the 4 boys doing dumb shit. But that's not what put South Park on the map, it was Matt and Trey using their show as a platform to shit on celebrities back when it was viewed as more socially unacceptable.

Their target audience was 15 to 22 years old, but seriously, no person in this age range is watching south park, they are watching anime, tiktok or mr beast

20 yo youngfag here. From my experience young normalfags still very much enjoy SP. Back in highschool everyone loved the Andrew Tate episode. Same demographic that is glued to TikTok 24/7 mind you. Family Guy has definitely surpassed it in popularity though.

Family Guy

I don't like Family Guy. It has its moments, but it in no way hits the spot like South Park does/did.

We both know the Scientology episode is still funny

The real pill is…. Watch the first 5 minutes of Baseketball (or watch the entire movie, its pretty comfy). But that opening monologue… replace sports with south park and yeah, its pretty much the same. They are sell outs and they became what they hated and made fun of.

I cant stand to watch either of them

I can recall every single episode of South Park. I legit can't remember the "famous" episodes of Family Guy. Says a lot about society.

no.
cartman is literally the best character ever created.
no actor or cartoon comes even close.

Thats like saying you need to know who Peter Lorre or Edward G. Robinson are when watching Looney Tunes.

South Park had 3 good seasons worth of shows, all made before 2001. Bush's presidency broken Trey and Matt and they never ever recovered, they became Reddit-tier libs and never matured or got over it. South Park has been the equivalent of a geriatric late night talk show host trying to do meme dances for 30+ years now.

Family Guy had a brief cringe phase during seasons 6-9 when the writers got up their own asses in wake of Obama but eventually they said fuck it and just embraced being a stupid phoned in program for manchildren and edgy chud teens. As a result they've had far more actually funny episodes and been more relevant than South Park has.

Of course neither show is good. The only true winner is American Dad.

South Park was never funny.

Was with you up until the American Dad bit

the celeb episodes aged poorly coz they never made follow up episodes.
mel gibson is more hardcore conservative angery retard now, tom cruise is borderline schizo, britney is one life event away from being committed.
they tried to modernise with the pewdiepie episode but they didn't really dig into the fjellberg persona - that dude is hella shallow, narcissitic and has deeply racist values. sure on the surface he preaches acceptance but literally every facet of his life is like a modern white supremacist's dream - married white, moved to ethnostate, doesn't interact with black people if he has a choice etc etc
overall south park doesn't hit now coz the writers have gone soft.

imho seasons 1-8 are still good

All those episodes are funny. Especially the mel one

There's a reason why Family Guy is literally hated by every other cartoon show. South Park ripped on them and got wild applause from the Simpsons, King of the Hill and Ren and Stimpy. The only reason family guy is still surviving is thanks to brainrot memes.

family guy isn't funny

The amount of bantz that South Park created growing up as a Jewish kid, I wouldn't trade for anything. South Park has aged perfectly. And I'm a zoomer.

South Park S3-9 is still gold
the early couple seasons and the odd episode afterwards are okay and modern stuff is 90% shit but what are you gonna do?

And what is the point of Mel Gibson wanting to be tortured? is that a metaphor or reference to something or just a pure fabrication to make him seem offensively wacky?

true. South Park did a lot for casual antisemitism on the playground at a time when we were too young to know about the Katyn Massacre or The Protocols of Zion and it was simply funny

give me a gummy-worm dude, don't be a jew

I didn't know who Mel Gibson was when this came out and I thought it was a funny episode

I like both. I find that I enjoy South Park's earlier works more. American Dad is also better than Family Guy now.

South Park really has to step it up or end the series.

I see your point but I disagree

this,South Park has fallen from grace WAY harder than the Simpsons and any other animated series
na,he's right. SP has become everything that younger Trey and Parker would mock into oblivion

old family guy aged just as poorly, they spent the first like six seasons referencing 80s sitcoms

t. Family Guy Funny Moments #3725 watcher

I swear they cut together different episodes of that shit on Youtube and nobody notices.

And what is the point of Mel Gibson wanting to be tortured?

the idea is that passion of the christ is two hours of watching a dude get whipped bloody, it's excessive torture porn for anybody but christians who find it theologically empowering or whatever... so in south park mel gibson is not actually a christian who wants to show the world christ's sacrifice, he just finds it erotic
it might have been a good one-off joke instead of being stretched into an entire episode

ah I see. don't know how I didn't put that together

i guessed there was some rumor or leak or something about Mel being in to BDSM lol

Early South Park hasn’t.
Most of the current event episodes were generally applicable rather than issue of the week soapboxes.
Manbearpig, for example, may have used Al Gore as a prop, but it’s primarily about attention whores that make everything about themselves. Something which makes it hilariously ironic that they felt the need to backpedal so hard on it

The average pre-cancellation Family Guy episode was like “Remember that thing famous person did in 1993?” Meanwhile the celebrity they were parodying hasn’t been relevant since 2002. They also had tons of jokes about 60’s and 70’s era sitcoms. I doubt a zoomer or alpha will understand many jokes of the 4:3 era.
