46 years old

was on all that for 11 years

was on SNL for 23 years

this guy spent most of his life on shitty sketch comedy shows

hq720.jpg - 686x386, 52.94K

You're disrespecting the future Saturday Night Live executive producer

known for being the second funniest comedian on Kenan and Kel

third, you are forgetting about the dad

Looks like fun work and he's probably a millionaire.

Third, Ken Foree is a pretty funny fella.

probably will take over for Lorne Micheals

He has a hustle, he can perform it well, he doesn't ruffle any feathers outside what's happening with his marriage and personal life. He doesn't bring that drama to the set. He's basically being groomed to be the next, uh...whoever the guy is that runs SNL. I don't know or particularly care but you all know who he is. Kenan will take his place eventually. He's going to die with that show. He will die 5-6 figure checks every two weeks for the rest of his life. He's comfortable. He's won. No real reason to after him. He knows his niche. He's done a few films. His face is out there. I'm sure her has some, albeit limited, international recognition from people 35-45 but that's about it..He made it. No reason to dump on the brother.

that's so fucking weird that the dad was in dawn of the dead

Lorne Michaels (born Lorne David Lipowitz

he was born on a kibbutz in the then-British mandate of Palestine,[10][11][12][13] and that his Jewish family immigrated to Toronto, Ontario when he was an infant.[14]

no bully kenan pls

No I totally want to stay on SNL forever it would be so cool to be the one to do that. No don't worry about my failed sitcom just forget about that.

I really like that quote that says SNL is jury duty for celebrities

That was good

yes and he will pick a black to be the fall guy when they move exclusively to Peacock.

OH NO! Comedians can’t have a regular steady gig to earn a living! What a loser and asshole. Let’s ridicule and insult him for working!

at this point podcasting is less embarrassing. congrats you made it to snl, now don't make it your entire life

Honestly he deserves it, but he's not inheriting much.
Maybe he can get Hader back to try to revive it but I dont think anyone under 40 cares anymore

i like when he played that french guy in the bathtub

HON HON HON OUI OUI

No he only spent 23 years on a shitty sketch comedy show. That's only half his life not most of it.

Based Pierre Escargot enjoyer.

he was on all that for 10 years

He has a hustle, he can perform it well, he doesn't ruffle any feathers outside what's happening with his marriage and personal life. He doesn't bring that drama to the set.

Good call this is deff an insider anon

I had no idea All That was on the air for ten years

but I dont think anyone under 40 cares anymore

Then who watches it? People over 40 don't

Certain people do watch it but it's not a lot. The videos have at most like 10 million views on their youtube channel, but usually like 2 to 3.

They are so up their own ass and completely out of touch with what people find funny these days. A dude with a podcast making asian dick jokes is gonna get 10x those numbers

I respect it. The man has more knowledge than 99.999% of Anon Babble.

and what have you done?

Guy is a multimillionaire living life on easy street good for him. Can't believe he has been on SNL for 23 years, that means I haven't watched SNL in 23 years.

At first glance I thought that was the "years ago they tried to put me in the slammer" guy, guess I'm a racist chud now.

SNL is a huge cultural blindspot for me aside from a select few clips, and I have zero regrets on that front as while I'm sure it has had its moments, I do not care for the format and have never felt like I'm missing out on anything of value.

sold his soul to the devil for fame and youth

snl pays better

it was on the air for 20 years

I used to watch it for a little back in the 90's around the time when Will Ferrell was on there, but that's it. There were some funny skits but yeah...

Picard is responsible for the deaths of thousands of Starfleet crew to the Borg. Can you live with that guilt?

black man is gainfully employed

anon is angered

there's no fucking way all that was on the air for 20 years

Anon's screenshot is from the episode "Tapestry", an 'It's a Wonderful Life' type story where he goes back in time and doesn't take any stupid risks as a teenager and ends up becoming a boring man, not promoted beyond a Lieutenant Jr Grade even at his age, mainly because he doesn't stand out or risk ruffling any feathers. The best thing Captain Riker can say about him is that he's punctual.

SNL hasn't been relevant since the late 90s/early 2000s and then before that not since the 80s. I only really watched it when I was in high school/college in the late 2000s and early 2010s. they just had their lowest 18-49 demo since nelson began tracking 18-49 year olds

Kenan is the oldest SNL cast member

images(10).jpg - 225x225, 8.91K

it's not that he's a boring man, but one bereft of picard's full potential that we've gotten used to. he's an extraordinary man reduced to a merely above-average cog, something still superior to most.

with kenan, he's no enterprise captain material

there were 11 seasons. Kenan and Kell were in the first 5 seasons from 1994-1999. the show got canceled after the 6th season in 2000 then came back for 2002-2005 then got canceled and came back in 2019. Kenan and kel were executive producers in 2019

Dis nigga was great in Mighty Ducks and Heavyweights

because in the past people would join SNL and then leave to star in sitcoms or films. Kenan did that on all that, had his own show, was in movies before and after all that (the ones after didn't do well) and then just stuck on SNL since because his only sitcom attempt failed.
it doesn't help that basically everyone who has left the show since tina fey has been irrelevant and hollywood isn't making sitcoms or midbudget comedies anymore so there aren't any jobs for him to get even if he leaves

Sounds accurate. Nice trips.

woman not known for comedy or sex appeal hosts comedy show

You're either into her or you aren't.

Kenan and kel.

SNL is a huge cultural blindspot for me

Same. I was a MadTV kind of kid. SNL just never had an appeal to me. I only watch clips now for celebrity monologues. I'd rather watch new Whose Line and I don't know a single soul that watches new Whose Line.

rip kel

What have you done in that same span, chuddie? And don't say programmer or something like that because you finna boutta get replaced real soon.

I watched some doc on jewtube and apparently madtv's viewerbase was more in line with all that than with snl

Bitch, The man is FOREVER remembered by an entire generation. For ALL THAT, GOOD Burger, and Kenan & Kel. That's all he needs.

I'm in my 40s, the last time I distinctly remember watching it was when Ashlee Simpson fucked up. I want to say I also saw Andrew W.K. blow the roof off the place, but I can't remember which happened before which. I remember Andrew W.K. got like no response but everyone else went fucking nuts. It was all anyone could talk about for a bit.

hqdefault.jpg - 480x360, 16.74K

He's fulfilling the same role as Phil Hartman used to, being the old veteran holding the cast together through lulls in quality and talent.

theres always the one black guy on SNL who never wants to leave and doesnt know when to move on (also weird how they cloned Kenan and now theres two of him on the show, did they need a back-up Kenan incase the original one dies?)

snlblackguys.png - 1606x1157, 2.6M

There was some interview I saw where Kenan said Lorne basically told him he's always got a job there if he wants it. That's a nice safety net really.

He's not funny at all and his career would die if he was let go from SNL so props to him for managing to keep the hustle going

Why should he? If it's a cushy gig, why not?

that 2024 SNL photo

why do all the modern SNL cast members look so fucking fruity? on the tim meadows side everyone looked like real adults, now all the cast members look like people trying to look and dress like Gen Z 20-somethings, very HOW ARE YOU FELLOW, KIDS? vibes

I'm not american so I only know him from kenan and kel. snl is too boring and cringe for a non-amerilard

Tim Meadows was funnier than Keenan. He has ZERO memorable characters. He's the guy in the back with 1 line in 99% of his sketches

i feel bad for that other black guy who joined with Kenan in 2003 lol i remember when they joined together but the other black guy only lasted a couple of years and has never been seen again
youtube.com/watch?v=-VaeDekN_-0

admitting to being a third worlder

weird choice

He has ZERO memorable characters.

black jeopardy guy

I already said I'm not american

do what you love
he seems to know what works for him

America is the only first world country. every other country shits in the street and can't own guns

Tim was good but not great. I know it's cliche but their bests were obviously Eddie and Chris. Tracy always sucked unless the joke was making fun of himself. Jay Pharroh whatever, and the rest are so forgetable I well, forget them. Kenan's been a solid backbone capable of getting laughs, honestly with his more absurd sketches. I think it's because of his All That upbringing. The sillier stuff he shines in.

i remember thinking he was funnier than Kenan at the time and was surprised they fired him but kept Kenan. Kenan was pretty bad for like a full decade until it finally got decent on SNL

Beats an office job or working at Walmart.
He got to live out his dream of playing make believe for money on TV.
I dislike him and his shtick, but I think he won.
Whatever happened to the non-obese Whitewashed black guy sidekick from Good Burger?

Kenan Thompson's net worth is estimated to be around $13 million as of 2024, primarily from his long career in comedy and acting, including his role on Saturday Night Live. He has also earned money from various film and television projects throughout his career.

Not bad. I wish I could be a "loser" like this guy.

hm ok.png - 3372x2228, 960.9K

Tim Meadows was my favorite jogger from SNL. I liked that he spoke normally and did not jive it up like Eddie Murphy or Richard Pryor did.

Chris Rock? i mean sure he became huge after SNL, but he was probably the weakest player on early 90s SNL, before he was famous stand-up comedian Chris Rock, you'd barely know he was funny on SNL, and was their least used cast member, playing the angry black talk show host Nat X was pretty much his only memorable sketch
youtube.com/watch?v=6WicTXp3VMQ

Tim Meadows was pretty underused during his first 5 years on SNL with the Sandler cast too (they didnt use their blacks much in those days) it was after they all left and Tim was the only guy who stayed in the Will Ferrell Cheri Oteri era when Meadows really got to shine, now that he was the veteran cast member. All the OJ stuff around that time really boosted his profile on the show

youtube.com/watch?v=jERkZHM-dvI
also this retarded sketch has always been a guilty pleasure of him since i first saw it as a kid, still gets me good

yeah Tim Meadows was pretty much SNL's only black guy who didnt relies on the IMA BLACK MAN AND I PLAY GHETTO CHARACTERS BEYOTCH! never talked in ebonics and whenever he was forced to play a hood role you could tell it didnt come natural to him

No wonder it didn't withstand the test time then. Yeah I was jumping right from Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network or Comedy Central straight to Fox every Saturday night.

best SNL black guy was Jerry Minor, but SNL disrespected him and kicked him off after one season. WTF dude was a Mr. Show cast member before SNL and they let him go?
youtube.com/watch?v=B-ApM9G1GRY
i remember him also being the best part of Louie's old sitcom Lucky Louie (his more forgotten show before the more famous FX show Louie) as the neighbor, him and Louie's awkward interactions were the funniest parts of the show

hollywood isn't making sitcoms or midbudget comedies anymore so there aren't any jobs for him to get even if he leaves

What do ANY of them do once their contract doesn't get renewed? They have to know it's over, right? That would make set tensions much worse

It's weird that an actor was in things

Does Kenan usually play the straight man in most sketches? It seems like it's always kind of the same person

i'm surprised he's last as long, does he write sketches too?

WHATS UP WITH THAT

Kenan was pretty bad for like a full decade until it finally got decent on SNL

I actually thought he was mentally retarded the first few times I saw him on there.

When they finally have real Lindsey Buckingham on so he can give a weird but great guitar solo

Fantastic. Even though me and five hundred others were the only ones who cared

>this guy spent most of his life on shitty sketch comedy shows

like what you do

be good at it

pays well

oh noooooooooooo
