I have no hopes that Andor S2 will even be decent. As time marches forward, Disney's retardation has become worse. They just continue to double-down. When they discover they did something right, or kinda right, they RACE to undo it, and to ruin it. They are not interested in salvaging it, they're interested in using the franchise as a front for money-laundering, as their real money comes in from child sex trafficking, drugs, etc. I guarantee you its child sex trafficking. Look at all the gay pedo grooming shit they've supported and conducted over the last few years.
The OT were big hits because of how new and different they were. Even a satirical attempt to tear the movies down to what they ostensibly were (space balls) still resulted in something immensely charming and appealing.
The prequels sucked. There is no way around it. The one and only thing that can be said for them is George Lucas knew he couldn’t just remake the OT and achieve the same levels of success, but even this is undermined by how much ostensibly random imagery he borrowed from the OT (why are the Jedi all dressed like desert moisture farmers) and the haphazard timeline (Alec Guinness is 45 in Star Wars) but beyond that and lightsabers, the movies were stuffed with new designs that sparked tons of creativity in the EU, which kept the franchise alive despite shit like Star Wars dance off.
Disney, being completely averse to creativity, did literally everything wrong and choked out the ability of people who enjoy the franchise to contribute to it, even if they worked directly for them (mandalorian). They wanted carbon copies of the OT and hired the absolute worst people possible to make them. They wanted all side entries to be commercials for their main line movies and the toys to advertise the media.
