forgotten kino. Peter Jackson's earlier stuff was great
Forgotten kino. Peter Jackson's earlier stuff was great
The tone of this movie is all over the place, yet it somehow works. Even the posters from the time made it look like a straight horror film, but thats not entirely the case.
it's definitely very goofy and has a Jackson type humor to it. i would almost consider it a dark comedy but it's probably way too violent and the stakes too high for that
Going from the early splatter stuff to Heavenly Creatures was wild.
what's that one about?
Drama about some underage lesbians who kill someone for giggles
sounds pretty based. i remember recently that Melanie Lynskey said how painful it was that she and Kate Winslet stopped being friends once she hit it big
is this photoshopped or his his forehead really the same length as the rest of his face?
it's an extremely terrible poster using screencaps from the movie. i think the wind is blowing his hair back in the scene. the two guys behind him are from a different scene entirely
You want to talk about forgotten, talk about the four and a half hour making of video.
Is Dead Alive kino?
It was originally developed as a Tales from the Crypt script and it shows. I think they saw how high quality it was and decided they'd make more money releasing it as a stand alone and cramming something else into the IP.
It's the best splatter movie ever made. Watch the uncut Braindead version though.
damn, why so long?
Melanie Lynskey
She was in that? I haven't seen that movie in decades.
Heavenly Creatures? she was the other girl, yeah
There was a lot of special effects.
The tone of this movie is all over the place
I guess you could say it was very shaky.
based character
it's said that Peter Jackson couldn't get down to a PG-13 rating no matter what he cut out so since he was 100 percent getting an R no matter what he went back and made this death scene more gory than it originally was
this guy grew on me a lot as the movie went on, even though he was consistently a dick to Michael J Fox. in the last thread anons were arguing about whether the grim reaper got him again and I finally found the scene. he gets his wife out of the haunted house and the grim reaper rips his face off and throws his destroyed body onto the hood of the car
I saw it in theaters as a kid but never realized until like a year ago that Judge was Gomez Addams.
kek, i was actually watching this reaction video earlier and it's what made me make the thread. it's basically the only place i could find most of the best scenes of the movie
they didn't seem to like the movie overall and thought it was going to be funnier
I remember almost nothing about it except they make a claymation kingdom or something. That and they kill an old lady and I think there are courtroom scenes or something. It was on cable in the early 00s and watched it because I thought there'd be nudity in it.
seems like an interesting movie. kate winslet looks a lot like amanda seyfried in it
Of the highest order. It is an excellent movie to watch with your friends and some beers.
Yeah I also got the feeling that TBR Schmitt didn't like the Frighteners. I know Samantha got visibly offended when Judge said "I like it when they lie still like that"
i've never seen any of their other videos so i'm not sure if that's how they normally are. they seemed to be more confused by the tone than anything
Cassie from Popcorn In Bed didn't seem to like the Frighteners either. She had a stink face throughout the entire movie.
Cassie from Popcorn In Bed
it's a pretty gory movie and mixed with the weird comedy isn't for everyone.
I don't know who these people are but I hope they die in a car accident. Good movie.
seems a bit dramatic, kek
I watched it recently and thought about how it could have easily been a Supernatural episode or story arc
is Peter Jackson essentially retired or something? he hasn't made shit lately
Did anyone ever make a goatse edit of this?
probably like 15 years ago
it's crazy that this was Michael J Fox's last movie. he said it was because it was filmed in New Zealand and was away from his family too long but he had to have known his health was going downhill
He directed that like 6 hour long Beatles doc a couple years ago.
Last thing he worked on was producing the animated LOTR movie that flopped recently.
Its still funny that he got the Lord of the Rings job
This got a stateside theatrical release, lmfao
I remember reading the reviews in the paper
Buy an ad with your shitty reaction webms you stupid faggot.
He did Mars Attacks, some small roles, and over 100 episodes of Spin City after this zoom zoom.
oops, my bad that he showed up in Mars Attacks for three seconds, you autist. I know he did Spin City afterwards, which is why I said he stopped doing movies. He wanted a consistent schedule in his backyard.
This is correct. I discovered this via VHS. Some of the design concepts translated to LOTR if you look for it.
i was watching another react video of this movie and the chick didn't know what she recognized Michael J Fox from. It ended up being Back To The Future and I felt old as fuck. it's strange that so many react videos have gone up for this somewhat recently though
Some of the design concepts translated to LOTR if you look for it.
Quick rundown on this plz
I've noticed BTTF is one of the first movies most YouTube reactors do, along with Robocop
I think a lot of these channels have the same audience members, so they end up recommending the same movie to a few different people
