Now that the dust has settled was Invincible Season 3 kino?

I dunno, I've finished the comic book like 8 years ago. The adaptation's animation is shit and they black-washed/rice-washed some characters so I don't see a point in watching it

Anon, that comic came out years ago and it was mid at best.

Black chick is gone and he's with Eve (white woman) now, also the animation does falter because most of the budget goes to the voice talent, that being said the final episode of Season 3 was VERY well animated and clearly where the rest of the budget for the whole season went.

While reading the comic is better than watching Tranazon's garbage, it's not really a good comic, it can only be called below average at best.

It was shit. Hideous art, lazy sweat shop animation, boring character "drama" that reeks of a hack trying to make his characters feel real with depth but utterly failing. The constant "here's some random whacky shit that gets resolved within a single episode" formula is stale as fuck as is Mark as a character.

The cherry on top was the Conquest fight which was a completely shameless rehash of the Omni man fight except with 0 of the personal stakes involved. Just awful garbage.

The last 2 episodes were good but otherwise there is so much filler, and the low stakes slice of life / villain of the week episodes seem like complete timewasting when they've established the scale of the threat that viltrumites pose.

Blud cappin. That comic cheugy ong.

I really hate the comic's "500% facial animations at all times" artstyle. The show's style is blander but I find it easier to watch.

Invincible blows its load with the Mark vs Omni-Man fight. Nothing in the comics or tv show gets as close in terms of combining spectacle with dramatic stakes.

I think the "Superman-like character vs Superman-like character" fights in most media tend to turn out pretty bad, but Conquest was wisecracking the whole time until he finally just lost out of nowhere, it didn't feel like there was a point where the tide turned. The writers just went "Oh he's dead now".

Mark is a bitch that struggles with Z-listers so they knew they couldn't have him turn the tides himself. They even have that line where Conquest says just getting angrier won't make you stronger. Hence, Eve aka molecule woman ex machina

Mark vs Conquest is up there. Any Thragg is the incarnation of kino and we haven't even seen him in the show yet. Also if you don't like Battle Beast you're an actual fag as Battle Beast is /ourguy/

So does Conquest come back in the comics?

tranime

Yeah he comes back for one more 1v1 rematch with Mark, and it ends pretty much the same way as the first one except Mark is even more injured.

Not The Invincible War

Not Conquest 1

Not Conquest 2

Not the Viltrumite War

Not Rex’s heel-turn, and Order 66

Not Battle Beast vs Thragg

Not Thragg and his half-breed offspring vs Mark, Eve, and Oliver

Not everyone vs Thragg and his mass-produced Viltrumite army (culminating with Mark vs Thragg on the fucking sun)

Not the final battle against Rex

You’re nuts. You can level plenty of complaints about stupid character moments (like Cecil thinking they could keep Conquest contained, or Mark letting Dinosaurus go), dull stretches (like Mark and Eve living on an alien world for a long ass time), or awkward story moments (like the glowing sentient spaghetti that is never explained or mentioned again, and exists solely to facilitate a five-year timeskip), and I’d probably agree with you, but I wholeheartedly disagree that there’s no spectacle or stakes after Nolan’s rampage.

what the fuck is that goose head thing above her monitor?

Basically I care about characters and dramatic stakes, not boring comic book "actually I am the strongest person ever" power level crap. Most of the things you mention are fun spectacles but pretty much "a guy you don't really know turns up and beats up another guy for a bit"

What even is the trajectory of the show now? I am guessing

Season 4 is Viltrumite War

Season 5 is Scourage Virus and Dinosaurus

Season 6 is Angstrom's end and Robot coup

Season 7-8 is the rest, maybe seson 7 ends on Reboot

Who is going to voice Thragg?

The story is just manufactured conflict by selectively making characters act retarded, followed by random shock character deaths ala several hack writers who think gore and killing off characters makes their series more "mature".

Kinda doing it's own thing honestly. It's not 1:1

Pauly Shore probably

they black-washed/rice-washed some characters

oh, I thought the ultrapoz came from kirkman himself. It's so distracting how many black people are in the show even for american standards.

John C Reily

I'm alright with Mark being half Korean because Steven Yeun constantly fucking delivers on the voice acting. Give the dude an emmy

The ending needs to be less rushed, stuff like God Emperor Mark saying goodbye to a dying Debbie and all, Cecil needs to go out a less of a chump, round 3 with Angstrom and his entire death needs a rewrite too, and also they need to nail Thragg. Not only purely because he's the big bad but the audiences loved Conquest and his monologue added a lot too. If they do not nail Thragg they will find normies WISHING Conquest was the arch villain.

Anons being unable to watch or play something because of race reasons, like these, is fucking hilarious to me. I can't help but imagine the cringiest person possible

If nothing else re: the animation the show has less freaky character designs. Mark has unintentionally hilarious comic expressions and Eve always has such a nasty cuntface

And there’s plenty of that in there too, but you specifically mentioned a moment where a guy punches another guy through some buildings, and a bunch of people explode in bloody chunks. Yes there is of course the dramatic element of Nolan betraying everyone, but to pretend that there aren’t similar character moments later on just isn’t true.

In Kirkman’s letter following the last issue, he even says that he was planning on saving Nolan’s heel-turn until issue 25, but was told that if he waited that long, there wasn’t going to be an issue 25, so he said he could bump it up to issue 12, but then he was told issue five, and then they settled on issue 7.

The show is honestly downright bad. It is just constant mindless action and gore without any proper slow moments to appreciate the characters, their interactions and their internal drama, so there isnt really anything to feel when a character gets brutally killed except feeling grossed out.

The interdimensional Marks episode is probably one of the worst offenders of this, since it had drama and story potential to easily be at least 2 episodes, maybe even 3, with Mark's friends, enemies and international heroes and governments all reacting to the invasion in more fleshed out ways. Instead, most of these are implied and offscreened, the evil Invincibles get barely any characterization and then Conquest shows up right afterwards to further make the event feel small.

They should change the story lot more from the comic like in Season 1 because it just doesnt translate well to a cartoon. Especially with the godawful animation that keeps characters very inexpressive most of the time.

I know. It's hilarious when all your favorite shows get cancelled after 2 or 3 seasons because they can't make a profit without us racists watching. I look forward to your coping and seething when you'll inevitably have to just read the comics to find out the ending to your show after it gets cancelled.

They did a good job fleshing out the investigation into Nolan in the show, so I’m fairly confident that they will do that. In the comic, it’s just business as usual until Immortal attacks Omni-man out of nowhere, Darkblood is treated like a joke character, and Cecil is barely even a character at all until after Nolan leaves. He and Debbie don’t even know one another until then.

I've had sex in my parent's bed. Her parent's bed too. It's kinda weird but nothing special

whatever you say, i still think it's funny how mad you are

is the best character

How does he do it?

It is just constant mindless action and gore

it's not even cathartic, satisfying, or creative, just haha blood splash and bones.

Voiced by Walton Goggins

Mad at what? I'm just stating that the show is going to be cancelled due to no audience. The only one mad here is you since you actually like the show and you know without an audience it'll get cancelled.

He's a bit of a clown in the comic and has a stupid turkey neck. Show is much better. Even keeping Conquest alive, the comc book art makes him look so fucking cocksure that his plan is going to work; in the show he has the heavy sigh and stuff about how they have no choice if they want any info on the Empire - basically like he's entirely cognizant this idea may bite him in the ass but he feels his hands are tied

It was really good. I thought the invincible war and fight with conquest was somewhat rushed though. I know it apparently only lasts an issue in the comic but it didn't translate as well in the show and couldve been fleshed out further. Especially since it was hinted at throughout the season. The mob boss and time travel episode couldve been shortened at least if not cut entirely to solve for this since they really halt the pacing of the season. Same with Powerplex's episode, but less so since I do think its one of the shows best. Im sure they all come into play later but it affects this season negatively right now. Or ofc just make the season longer since there's so much going on in the show to justify it.

What I really liked was taking a second to really show the scale of the damage and lives lost after the events of the S1 finale and how it's still impacting Mark and the world seasons later. It gives added weight to the ensuing damage both physically and emotional that follows at the end of this season. Otherwise it's easy to just be extremely numb to it. It adds to the believability of mark suddenly choosing now to stop holding back as well. Something as little as showing the list of names killed but it adds a lot. I'd give the season a 7/10 overall. Better than the last with some all time episodes but less consistent than S1 and sort of feels like an in-between from where the story is actually heading.

Nta but you're delusional if you think this show is going to get canceled.

what are you talking about it has loads of shitty teenage drama sections between the violence
they are excruciatingly bad

the show is going to be cancelled

made up

you actually like the show

without an audience

it'll get cancelled

I basically sped through the Powerplex episode because I was annoyed by Aaron Paul's whiney fucking voice. Didn't match with how they animated Scott as this physical Chad

alienates everyone around him

is shocked that nobody trusts him despite being "le good guy"

will ultimately do as much damage as possible in pursuit to saving the world

Im not saying Mark is right necessarily but he's definitely going about things better than Cecil.

Aaron Paul sucked ass. Even if JDM Negand it up with Conquest he still sounded cool

i dont even really understand why the show was made, the comic didn't exactly have a cult following. was it just because of the boys tv show?

did the reverse rape happen yet?

Next season. They'll get the porn artists that did the in between season promos to animate it

My memory of BB is fuzzy enough that I can't recall if he is actually good or simply got praise cause he went to 11 on the screaming and crying. Still, it's fine cause Jesse is a bitch shrimp. They animated Scott as a Chad, the voice doesn't fit.

I like new Cecil a lot, but the problem is the show still has to conform to the stupid things that comic Cecil does. So you end up with this new, more intelligent and rounded character - who still does inexplicably retarded things, and it's hard not to notice.

”Do you want to be the good guy, or the guy who saves the world?”

Mark kills the astronaut who is acting as host for the Sequids, when they have no other choice, and they’re running out of time.”

”Mark…how could you do that? You’re scare the shit out of me.”

They better fix that shit in the show with a line like “I guess we can agree that we’ve both been a little wrong”.

Lol no it's a few years away. S4 is all Viltrumite War and S5 will be the t rex and space aids. S6 if it's 8 episodes like the rest should be an even split between Angstrom being the villain of the first two and then closing his arc/Mark getting home from Mohawkworld in epsides 3-4 and then the rest is Robot's logicfagging chimpout

I also mentioned that the animation is crap but you decided to put all you stocks into the 'heckin racism' argument, okay

greatest most seamless coup humanity has ever witnessed described as a logicfagging chimpout

kek

>greatest most seamless coup humanity has ever witnessed described as a logicfagging chimpout

He reminds me of the sciencefags of the youtuber weightlifting community.

Rex, look at all the people you killed!

Ackchyually, this 2021 meta study shows that...

Josh Brolin

Elijah Wood

hunter schaffer

how does Mark beat someone as powerful as Conquest but then gets overpowered and raped by a Vilrumite female?

le no one ever dies

le overpowered badass female who is human but has anti-viltrumite laser and wolverine tier healing locked away in her mind (so she's basically more invincible than invincible)

le villain also isn't actually dead

Also once again half the runtime was just muh feelings basic teen drama bitch ass dialogue boring wank. The art and animation are dogshit as usual and on par with the middest of seasonal shonen anime slop. The Viltrumites now feel utterly unthreatening that we know there are barely any of them and that they can be BTFO by a HUMAN of all creatures. Mark is an asshole who's constant anger towards Cecil seems contrived, making me hate the protagonist of the damn show. Power levels are all over the place, sometimes Invincible is OP, sometimes he is jobbing to cyborgs and can't tear a mutant spider's bubble-web thing (and needs said cyborg to do so).

It's just pure shite. The Boys is slop too but at least it can be entertainingly bad. Invincible is just... nothing.

Does anyone else just not find this world interesting? Like the character drama is quite bland, so I guess in the downtime (which is a majority of the seasons) I'm supposed to be caring about the world and worldbuilding. But Viltrumites are an exceedingly NOTHING antagonistic force there's nothing to cling onto or justify them being the central force in this universe. There are no systems or lore to the superpower, or mysteries or like anything. I don't know why so many people love this series there isn't much of anything to sink your teeth into.

Because he let it happen

in the scene in the comics he basically lets it happen, she doesnt even pin down his arms or anything

Being right 100% of the time.
Also Goggins is just a kino magnet.

Rex died...

Why do you guys always forget that Eve used her Limit Break on him first, which gave Mark the opening?

Not even close to S1.

nobody stays fucking dead, don't feel any stakes at all

power levels don't make any sense

literally have filler episodes in a show where there's only 8 episodes a season

I spent the whole time waiting for something to fucking happen, and it doesn't until the last 2 episodes.

no this has the biggest midwit/teenage boy audience OAT who haven't watched anything good before

It was a good fight episode, but severely overrated.

A lot of high quality anime shows have better fights in many episodes, people are just easily impressed when anything of consequence happens in this show that is riddled with filler.

oh yeah, I guess I forgot because like most of the characters in the show he is forgettable and mostly inconsequential

Robin Williams

No.

The people yearn for slop.

Mocapped Freddie Mercury

If the show gets canceled because of your absence, I’d consider that an acceptable loss, because at least I watched part of it in better company.

Yes it was pretty good. Season 1 still feels best because it felt like it fell like it had most stakes. But maybe the next seasons will change that

Is it just me or his redemption felt kinda rushed? It's like he just instantly became good after Season 1, feels like it should have been more gradual.

Maybe a little, but Season 2 starts with him giving up on everything he believed in and attempting suicide so it’s not that far fetched.

Scott is a chad but bitches like a pussy. The voice is perfect.

He was never bad.

Powerplex is not a chad. He let his emotion overwhelm him like a bitch and he destroyed his family, home, and community over a grudge against the wrong person (he should be mad at Omni man). Chads are stoic.

Rex was my 1st...everything....

And by 1st everything I mean he took my virginity

He fucked me raw when I was only 15 and made me bleed, he busted my hymen clear open and made me a women

He took my anal virginity the same night

My 1st blowjob? Rex

My 1st rimjob? Rex

My 1st dirty sanchez? Also Rex

He fucked me in so many different ways and different holes that I didn't even know you could stick a cock into

And his cock was huge, like substantially bigger than Marks

and he was a good friend

Where is show eve's rack?
