Why are movie stars so broke?
Why are movie stars so broke?
The world's richest women are all divorced from the world's richest men.
Liberals be like
we need more billionaires
Swift and Rihanna own their music. Most actors do not own what they create.
music has more influence on the masses
Nah Rhiana owns a clothing business or smth like that
Not Oprah
I thought Taylor got ripped off by some jew
Tay Tay should buy Anon Babble and make us worship her to post
Is Rowling not a billionaire anymore?
she did but she successfully mobilized her rabid fanbase into letting her extralegally claim back the rights to the music she got fucked out of owning
Rowling is not a musician. Read the title again
That's actually incredibly based.
I pity the wagie whose job it is to keep track of this shit.
do you think taylor is having the sexy time with travis kelce right now?
Very likely
They're never completely penniless. They get royalties from their TV and movie works. They just live beyond their means with the "Hollywood life," and just have to live as close to Hollywood as possible where house and land prices are the highest in the country.
And neither Taylor not Rihanna are that rich. That's just what they've made. Factor in massive touring productions with massive numbers of people and gear. They still have massive wealth though, and they have a clout that comes with everyone thinking they're billionaires.
They never "get fuck out of their songs." Many choose a large lump of cash now in exchange for signing everything over instead of looking at the long road and choosing royalties as well as owning a sellable asset with song ownership. Plus song-writers have rights too, and the less an "artist" contributes to his/her own songwriting, the more someone else OWNS those fucking songs.
The ones who really get rich and stay that way are like Paul Mcartney, Madonna, Lars Ulrich, James Hetfield, Roger Waters, and such, and WRITE EVERYTHING.
Taylor isnt that rich
Shalom
Swift is the only one who did it with music. Rihanna owns an overpriced clothing and handbag line.
$2 Billion Tour
What does that even mean? Total ticket sales?
Ironicaly those with small hats are the ones who do the most screwing of artists out of their song ownership. Certain ones within the music business even fuck over bandmates, like Dee Snyder of Twisted Sister refusing to let anyone else in the band contribute so he owns everything, Neil Schon of Journey taking songwriting credits for songs he didn't write (like him claiming he wrote the bass line to "Don't Stop Believing" even though he's the guitarist), and Perry Farrell of Jane's Addictionb ullying the three gentiles inth e band into lettimg him have 75% song-writing credit on everything because his lyrics are the only important part of the song.
And you know exacvtly what their "early life section" looks like.
1.6bn
0 kids
lol
lmao
Yes
The math is fuzzy as shit. Yeah it generated a lot of revenue, but touring with massive full audio and full video crew as well as all the gear and giant screens and stage isn't cheap. Neither is paying a massive band and dancers because "solo artists" don't ike being ont hat big stage alone so let's amuse the audience with lots of dancers doing lots of mindless flailing around.
Plus international touring. Foreign governments have made it expensive for American musicians for a long time while America has made it expensive for foreign acts for a while as well. Three years ago in the post-plandemic world musicians were bitching about the high cost of touring, and it's only gone up since then.
concerts are more profitable than movies.
rihanna made most her money from her make up brand, not music.
Swift is just a dried up political tool that sings about her ex-lovers
Rhianna has actual talent
Movie theaters don't sell tour shirts and merch, and don't allow you the option of spending a couple of hundred extra on a ticket to "meet and greet" the people in the movies as they're walking down a hallway. Movie theaters also don't charge you for parking or charge you special "venue taxes and fees."
spotted a black woman
Rihanna makes her money from everything BUT her music and touring. That's a smart move too. I'll admit that much, because for most musicians relying entirely on their music steers them down the road to the poor-house at the end of their fame. Rihanna having a "diversified portfolio" has paid off huge for her.
Tay-Tay didn't need that. She's a rare case of a musician that'll never become a has-been.
Kek, shit's plonked.
If she ever bought Anon Babble she'd doxx everyone to try to shut down those ai image of her the way she went after twitter
samefagging for attention
tsk.
concerts are more profitable than movies.
Music is profitable but concerts aren't worth shit. The grateful dead played stadiums and arenas every other day for 50 years and they e done fine but they're not worth all that much
I wonder whats like to penetrate a 1.600.0000.000.000 dollar pussy
how does being a billionaire work? i thought banks only insure up to 250 grand. so is the rest of their money up in the air so to speak? they could hypothetically go broke in a flash?
Tay-Tay didn't need that. She's a rare case of a musician that'll never become a has-been.
She literally is a political instrument. What are you talking about she didn't diversify? Gets paid by the democratic party lmao
I know Rihanna has a lot of other businesses. How is Taylor Swift a billionaire?
most of rihanna's wealth is in her make up company. she doesn't actually have a billion dollars in the bank. imagine you have a million dollar watch. that would make you a millionaire even if you only have $1 in the bank.
Hiro would never he likes this place too much
Rowling used to be a billionaire but she gave away too much money to charity. She might become a billionaire again with all the Harry Potter stuff they are churning out despite the seething by the transcommunity.
They probably just lay there
a top musician can make 10m per show. a top actor would be lucky to make that a handful of times in his career.
Having kids sucks, I wish I had 1.6 B instead
how can you be worth something if you can't spend that? you can have a hundred million dollar watches but if no one is buying it, you may as well be broke
you cant trade your watch to con edison to pay the electric bill
Money is slowly funneling to the hands of only a select few people. Wealth inequality is growing exponentially. Soon the USA will look like every other shithole country. A hand full of rich elites and millions upon millions of poors living in shanty towns.
sell it
if everyone is poor then taylor swift and rihanna can't be billionaires because no one can afford their products.
