conclude with a movie showing subsequent events, earendils journey to valinor, the war of wrath and founding of numenor.
flashbacks throughout, especially in s01, to address previous mythology/events. can't really have an entire season devoted to years of the trees, it would be basically anime.
future seasons are possible to do some numenor stuff, but there is very little material to draw upon, so it would likely suck ass.
