Go for a smoke

Go for a smoke.

See this

IMG_2638.jpg - 250x187, 17.92K

This is triggering my trichobolocanophobia.

i don't know what that is

it's graphite you ignoramus

How can you see it when it's not there?

oh. and why would i be so worried about seeing graphite on my smoke break?

There's no graphite on the roof.

No reason at all. If it was graphite from the reactor core then you should be very worried, but since rbmk reactors can't explode it's literally nothing.

You didn't see graphite on the roof.
You didn't, because it's not there.
Now get back to work, I need water in my reactor core.

it's graphite

That's impossible

dies

Not great not terrible

stuff like this is why i don't touch anything. nothing.

Seriously tho.
The effect of radiations where known scientifically at the time, that was just not public knowledge like it is today.
But imagine you are a physicist working your night shift there, you go take a smoke after the hydrogen explosion to calm your nerves and you see fucking graphite that's supposed to be inside the core, shielding the fuel rods, sitting there outside on the fucking parking in front of the building.
I think I just pretend that my wife just died or whatever and run from that place asap, I'd rather take a bullet anyway.
Physicist would've known the effects of exposure and certainly knew where that graphite was supposed to be (certainly not on the parking lot).

bros just spoonfeed me this one time

you didn't see graphite

The male urge to pick up a cool rock don't fail me now

Anon, the thoughts plant operators were having weren't "oh dear that's exposed graphite from the core, I better trot along before something unpleasant happens to me".
They were thinking "oh fuck oh fuck, millions are dead, literally everyone I know is dead, oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck".

he's delusional

You should go tell reddit about it.

The effect of radiations where known scientifically at the time, that was just not public knowledge like it is today.

American "education".

Good morning saaar

See this

No you didn't.

Because it would mean that you're experiencing hallucinations, a sign of health problems.

i literally decided to start Chernobyl today because of a different thread and then I see this thread and didn't even realize it was a chernobyl reference at first

underrated post

It's disgraceful, really. To spoonfeed at a time like this.

What the fuck is this guy talking about

I dont know why but this post made me laugh out loud.

squirms in my undies

"did.. did he just make heckin reference to the shift commander being in denial that the reactor exploded?"

"OH MY HECKIN SCIENCE!!!!"

Have my upvote!

You sure you don't need something else in your reactor core, anon??

Literally me.

Netflix series about Chernobyl, I think

schizo

Comrade Anon, why did I see graphite on the front page?

boris.jpg - 800x534, 103.15K

It's impossible. Users can't submit graphite. I'm sorry but it was probably the blurry pic of shining knight.

Sitnikov, you're a nuclear engineer. So am I. Now, please tell me how an RBMK reactor core explodes. Not a meltdown. An explosion. I'd love to know.

IMG_0509.jpg - 1358x1354, 132.76K

It was likely burnt concrete comrade, it can't be graphite.

implication is a nuclear reactor exploded and it landed near you
