They are dishonest nerds. They say they want that but they dont. Thats why Rebirth relaunch ended edgier than new52 after a couple months. Because people dont really want that shit.

Every relaunch, every new movie, every new universe, every new directives "we are going back to hopefulness and shit" but then it doesnt sell because no one really wants that. Its like a rock band after the 4rth album when they start promising with each new release that the new album captures the sound of the first one
