James Cameron has lost his actual mind. I just saw Avatar 3 and it is honestly nuts.

tarzan kid becomes a navi hybrid (WITH MAGICAL POWERS)

Jake Sully basically spends half the movie locked up and is only saved by the wizard girl and the power of friendship

his wife becomes evil for half the movie because of MUH GRIEF

humanity has a electricity weapon that can literally kill the ENTIRE PLANET ???

defeated by magic wizard girl with old lady voice

It's basically a remake of the first movie but instead of jake sully you have an autistic wizard instead

bullshit but I believe it

Dubs confirm true

I also didn't believe it until the dubs.

Mariana's trench isn't this deep. Double doubles, touche Cameron.

Wouldn’t be surprised if this is true, each Avatar movie introduces a new plot device. First it was unobtanium and then it was whale juice that makes you immortal

Anon figures out Disney's playbook.

To reiterate the playbook

Legacy character is brought back for nostalgia in order to put over the progressive replacement character before they die or retire.

Understand?

Are doubles Eywa speaking to us?

Why did it have to be dubs

this thread would've hit page 10 already if not for the dubs

Put me in the screenshot.

Ok, but answer this most important of all question: how many times does Tuk get tied up?

BIG BLUE SMELLY CATS

no mention of Quarich

Ehh

Tuk gets vored by a genetically engineered mega-human and dies permanently

What about Colonel Chud? He's the only character worth a damn

He gets captured by the volcanic tribe and mind raped by their leader he basically joins them but runs off at the end.

KNOCK IT OFF WITH THE DUBS!

any pantsu shots?

What's the problem with any of this? Eywa is in control of the planet. Has direct control of all animals and the ecosystem. It's already established that she can grant powers to specific individuals as well when it's in her interest. The RDA want to control the planet and would be incentivized to kill Eywa off. Of course Neytiri is losing her mind. She's lost everyone and everything she ever knew and loved. There's only so long she can keep smiling, joking and be happy. You'd mock the movies as more ridiculous if she didn't have emotions or get affected by these events.

She literally abandons Jake Sully and joins the volcano tribe also the wind tribe doesn't really do much and only helps them get back to the jungle and then again at the end battle

Sounds kino. I can't wait to see her kill many humans.

Blessed thread.

what do the space whales do?

Zero cultural impact.
Literally THE slop franchise, only known for being really expensive for CGI no one cared about and being produced by the Titanic guy.
If I had to choose any threads on this board that I think are astroturfed, it has to be these ones.

Big ritual with Kate Winslet at the start when she has a baby and help obliterate the fleet in final battle

Well I can't argue with that.

so what's the hook for part 4?

Who is Kiri's father?

Sigourney Weaver sacrifices herself to bring the planet back to life after the machine fucks everything so they will need to rebuild also the Chip Hazard dude is now not on the human or Na'vi side so I guess he's going to come back. It doesn't really end on a cliffhanger or anything but there's still obviously more to do. I would guess how Tarzan survives and what the volcano Na'vi do is going to be a big factor?

There's also a small bit about some other human group coming to the planet to study it who don't show up yet.

No dad/nature

How would you rank the 3 Avatar movies?

Who's the MVP of the film?

WITH MAGICAL POWER

what powers?
TIME STOP?

t. has never left the US

Avatar>Avatar 3>Avatar 2
Jake Sully still when he gets red bird back. James Cameron wants you to think its his wife or the wizard
She wizard powers to make the tarzan boy be able to be a navi but still human so he can breathe and connect with the animals after he gets dusted

Kiri dies

N-no... pleaze nooo... ;_;

Is Cameron still the GOAT at directing action?

Wha about pacing/editing? And the music?

na'vi women.

Sigourney weaver is still alive somehow inside the planet they use her technology and research from the first movie to make the weapon in this one. Some kind of message like anti-nuclear of scientists are curious but end up making nukes or something like that was what I got from it.

It's good but the final battle is like 4 at the same time it made me think of star wars episode 1 honestly because it's all over the place jake and wind tribe, whales and sea tribe and his son, and volcano people and wizard and tarzan fighting against the humans and the volcano tribe. A LOT going on. Not as good as terminator 2 but still better than anything else from modern hollywood.

there's not really jokes like avatar 2 it feels a lot darker in tone, the mind rape scene was funny but not sure if intentional. Oh also the volcano dudes have a weird dance that is jokes but serious

Are the visuals/CGI still unlike anything else?

Avatar 3 isn't out yet

Yes 100%, although the version we saw there was still some shots that were incomplete, it's 80% done though.

Nice. I'm hyped

What did Jim mean by this?

Avatar 4.png - 1307x268, 92.61K

It's the only reason to watch these movies but damn is it a compelling reason. The Sky People returning was fucking awesome in the 2nd one. Worth the price of admission alone.

I'm just a pixel pusher and they just screened it. It's nearly done.

This sounds bad given it's Disney and they pump out slop.

Seeing it in 3D with high framerate was the most immersive shit I've ever seen

Was it in 3D high frame rate again?

Ok but you used an image that calls it "The Seed Bearer" when we now know it's actually called Fire and Ash. Hurts your credibility a bit

3D and VFR
It's called Fire and Ash in the opening. When I googled it for an image this is what I got. I wanted one with the wizard.
