I think she gave up too quickly. the Percy Jackson films were alright but she didnt exactly blow up after True Detective and kept getting basic family drama/comedy roles so she stopped challenging herself. eventually she settled into the mediocrity and became a TV actress, marrying a rich older man to secure her life
it's a real shame, she's genuinely a witty talented actress with fantastic looks and with a little more perseverance she could've scored a blockbuster role that would launch her further into the limelight.
