I haven't watched any good science fiction shows in a really long time. Like, last one I watched was Battlestar Glactica (when it was new).
Is pic related good?
Any recommendations Anon Babble?

I'm starting over with star trek, starting with tng, I'm going to rewatch everything, one episode / movie per day, and hopefully by then, something that doesn't suck will come out.
all the scenes with lee pace, the brothers, and jared harris are pretty kino, everything else is garbage slop about le genius and strong black women
If you haven't ever read the books it's ok but obviously libcuck stronk womanified with brownoids everywhere. If you have read the books it's a fucking insult to the source material. They gave the source to people that either never read it our hated it and either way they ended up taking a giant shit all over a literary masterpiece and lied about "ree it would have been too hard to capture"
Anyone tried 3 Body Problem?
Ambitious.
Emperor scenes in the first season = kino.
Every scene with the bitches = not kino.
They also took the book and decided to do the opposite of what the writer wrote.
Are there any shows left that aren't about strong women and minorities? The classic heroes journey for the white man is practically eradicated.
The Expanse is excellent, it's the best depiction of a harder sci fi world on film IMO and the story and characters are cool enough as well, Miller is a standout early on
I've heard that For All Mankind is suppose to be pretty alright.
No. The Foundation adaptation is shit.
Watch something like Star Trek: TNG/DS9, Babylon 5, Firefly/Serenity.
If you want superhero/sci-fi stuff, then check out Daredevil and Legion.
There's a lot of great sci-fi stuff in video games with stuff like Deus Ex: Human Revolution/Mankind Divided, the Mass Effect trilogy, Quantum Break, SOMA, Watch_Dogs, Cyberpunk 2077, Wolfenstein: TNO/TOB, Binary Domain, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, Metal Gear Rising, Fallout: New Vegas, BioShock 1/2, Dead Space 1/2
If you want superhero/sci-fi stuff, then check out Daredevil and Legion.
This is legitimately my personal favorite live-action show of all time. I’m biased, of course, given my fixation with science fiction—but you have to understand that no fictional cinematic adaptation in the history of man is a perfect one for one translation. Understand that and you’ll quickly realize Foundation is one of Apple’s darling children. It’s a pet project. A billion will be spent and lost because it’s simply not media meant for the people of our time, but the future inheritors of our civilization. Media literally ahead of its time. Asimov may be a literary g-d, but even his purest gold is slathered in a patina of shitty oxidized crust. Foundation especially is marred by an overwhelming lack of female characters. I shit you not when I say that there are no female characters of any significance in the first trilogy. Zero, phucking none. That isn’t a sane representation of man. Half the population just doesn’t exist in Foundation, why? I’ll tell you why, because it just wouldn’t sell in his time. The target demographic of his literature then was pasty nerds. No doubt he would have written more women in if that weren’t the case. OP, the damn genius was just too ahead of his time. He had to accommodate the fragile sensibilities of his fans. Hell, just look at this thread. Everyone but me is bitching about the gender swaps. We’re still not ready. But if you are, watch the show. It could very well change your life.
Asimov was at a meeting of scientists who were writing some sort of statement about what scientists were like. At one point they started to discuss "A scientist chooses a wife who...", and Isaac broke in to say, "You know, a scientist might choose a husband." They all looked at him a bit shocked, even the women, and he realized they thought he was implying homosexuality. "So what if I was! But I wasn't!" He reminded them that a scientist could be a woman, too—and they all relaxed.
You will not find anything good on apple +
There is a lot of high concept, high production value shows on there that look like they should be great - but the writing in all of them is fucking awful.
Image reply instead of any kind of discussion or suggestion for what OP asked for
Star Trek: TNG
Very hit and miss show.
When they're investigating space anomaly weirdness it's really good. But 9 episodes out of 10 are just space communist/colonial propaganda.
"We are the enterprise and the way we do things is the only way, and if you disagree we will destroy you with our superior technology, and that will teach you a ruddy good lesson!".
The Chinese or whatever one is pretty good. Haven’t watch the netflixed version
What part of Daredevil or Legion is science fiction?
Mutation giving people powers don't count?
He had to accommodate the fragile sensibilities of his fans.
Yes, surely his true intention was that every morally just and/or capable character of any importance was some sort of brown woman or homosexual. Bless apple for allowing his true vision to finally see the light of day.
Stupid whitey snowflake nerds.
If you like 12 monkeys the film you might like 12 Monkeys the series
Love 12 Monkeys the series. Well deserved digits friend.
Not really, it's only any interesting when you skip to the Empire parts. Everything else is niggerized girlpower trash
Shilling tranny Vegas on tv
It's exactly what you'd expect from the Game of Thrones guys -- they go for sensationalism over intelligence at every possible opportunity. It's still passable, but the books are vastly superior.
I say this as a huge fan of Game of Thrones S1-3.
and this only works in s1 because in s2 they realized everyone was skipping the strong woman scenes so they ruined empire by pairing him up with a strong woman too
There's really nothing. The best thing we had was Raised by Wolves, which got cancelled. Next best would be Severance, which fell apart in Season 2 (Westworld met the same fate).
Immortal negress OC
Take your fucking guess.
Foundation is ruined by all of the black characters.

Yeah one of my favorite shows currently airing.
Feels like a better Dune.
Any recommendations Anon Babble?
What do you want?
The Expanse was fine until it descended into girlboss soap opera.
nice looking show, shame that everything that happens in it is retarded
The actress plays robot milf was also good.
Foundation is horrible and has very little to do with the books. It could've been good regardless, but it isn't.
Watch Farscape
Visually pretty stunning, they definitely did well with production value.
As far as being an adaptation of the Foundation, it's a straight up joke. The show is split in two parallel storylines:
the slow decline of the empire through political intrigue and complacency
This is pretty much entirely made up in the show since the book never really focuses on that. Funnily enough, it's the best part of the show mainly due to Lee Pace being the GOAT as always, although that kinda falls off a bit in Season 2.
the life and progress of the Foundation over time, and the dangers it must face to survive
This is the main focus of the books, and the show completely bastardizes every aspect of it. Asimov was a "I heckin <3 sciencerino" kinda guy, and the point of this story is how science and rationality are what create prosperity in human civilizations. The empire is declining because it fell into archaism and petty power struggles, but humanity will be preserved by a small group of rational people who came up with a plan and follow it. There is no magical "chosen one" who will save everyone by virtue of some innate magical ability that makes them better than everyone else. The show completely ignores this and instead gives us not one, but two heckin powerful black women who save everyone (including the original creator of the Foundation) thanks to their magic prescience powers.

no
It's just another grey drama in space featuring unlikeable people.
Watched the first season, wasn't even bad, but I didn't care about returning for season 2
The Expanse is pretty good. The actor playing the main guy is pretty wooden but the series is decent enough.
The ending was kinda ham fisted with a few things kinda left unresolved but i enjoyed the ride. One of the few series i've finished desu.
the Mass Effect trilogy
trilogy
Only the story of ME1 is good
Cyberfornia 2077
lol
Dark was pretty good but it's not like a space ships and lazer's type syfy.
Either you like Sci-fi or you like shit like Apple Foundation.
I's like eating shit cake because you like chocolate cake so much
The first season of Westworld was good.
Just treat it as a standalone miniseries and don't watch the following seasons.
No. Vaguely scientific concept just being on screen aren't enough to be sci fi, otherwise every movie where you see people around a bonfire would also count
Tales from the loop
Devs
Mrs Davis, it's more adventure than sci fi but I love this show
Yeah one of my favorite shows currently airing.
Imagine the others....
Lee Pace and the empire plot are good, the rest is slop.
First season of Foundation is rough, only empire stuff is good. Latter seasons are solid all around
It's a cannon that the show is watched by skipping everything but the empire scenes
I was actually going to say this, especially the stuff on terminus. The stuff with Empire is the best stuff.
foundation
the new dunc show
paradise
