The movie lacks focus and Toni Collete's character was painfully unfunny. Still, I liked the first half of the movie, showing how shitty life was for Mickey, the part where the two Mickey's were trying to screw each other over, and the cinematography was decent. Movie kind of fell apart at the end when it turned into starship troopers. I think the biggest problem with this movie is that Mark Ruffalo's character is too retarded to be taken seriously but is not well written enough to be funny. Did not care for the love interest but that's probably just because I'm racist lol 6/10 decent shlock

Quality could be better for a 4GB release

How? Even proper DVD-Rips are larger than 4GB.

Mickey 17 is a 2025 science fiction black comedy film written, produced, and directed by Bong Joon Ho, based on the 2022 novel Mickey7 by Edward Ashton. The film stars Robert Pattinson in the title role, alongside Naomi Ackie, Steven Yeun, Toni Collette, and Mark Ruffalo. Set in the year 2054, the plot follows a man who joins a space colony as an "Expendable", a disposable worker who gets cloned every time he dies for research purposes.

Anyone who's watched the film; is it actually good bros? Unironic question. Give me the positives and negatives.

It's okay, Bong made better stuff. Feels kinda like a mix of Okja and Snowpiercer but without any of the hard edges that either movie had.
Plus by the third act it becomes pretty apparent that the studio forced him to spell out the most basic shit for dumbfuck general audiences.
Pattinson is really entertaining though. And Mark Ruffalo plays a mix of Trump and his character from Poor Things, which was also amusing.

I really hope Bong's next film isn't so burger poisoned.

No, the "comedy" is so terrible even the most liberal CNN viewer who snorts The Daily Show everyday would find the Trump-Ruffalo characterization annoying after 5 minutes
And it goes on for 2.5 hours and is basically 90% of the "comedy" in the movie

I just finished watching this rip and it was good. The only thing I didn't like was how they cut the end credits as soon as BJH's name appeared.

The retarded protagonist/narrator really put me off the whole movie, i was rooting for Mickey 18 the whole time
