No, it's Muse he's a relatively newer villain serial killer in the comic run with a still hidden identity. I forget all his quirks and shit but IIRC he's like a sense vacuum so he's hard for DD to detect him (this seems not to be prevalent in the show). Basically because he also feels nothing he tries to create art via murder and mutilations and creates art through that. In the show he's basically just lacing his pains with blood.

I haven't seen Born Again but I genuinely have no idea what the fuck you can do for a character/universe like Daredevil for longer than three hours. I remember liking the first season but it kinda ended.
Matt has nowhere to go. Fisk, who is arguably the real focus of the series, keeps getting his arc retconned and recycled. The original series just kept going and became an embarrassing backdoor for shitty side chatacters nobody wanted/asked for, played by talentless actors who have no career outside of the handful of episodes they showed up in.
Jesus Christ, the episode about Matt's father, Battlin' Jack, was more interesting than anything related to Jessica Jones or Luke Cage.

I don't understand why there isn't any buildup for frank and matt. How did matt just know where he was hiding out? The conversation made it seem like it was the first time they had talked in a while. Also why do they want us to care about hector's niece? Matt doesn't put on the suit for an entire year after probably hundreds potentially thousands of people in nyc are getting murdered but this 1 girl that he met twice is enough for him to put the suit on?

It's because the production was such a mess. Frank wasn't even in the version they originally shot but they're still using tons of that footage and trying to duct tape it all together. I'm surprised it's somewhat watchable to begin with

This whole season's writing feels like "and then" instead of "because of X, therefore Y" Like Bullseye's attack could've been orchestrated by Kingpin to prevent him from interfering in his Mayoral campaign, therefore he wins, and because he's a career criminal, he therefore uses his mob ties as muscle to influence unions and regulators, and because of this rise in criminal activity would catch Matt's attention, he would therefore be emboldened to return as Daredevil.
Instead, it's Foggy dies and then Fisk wins as Mayor and then there's a Punisher street gang within the NYPD and then they kill a vigilante and then Kingpin isn't very good at being mayor and then there's a serial killer grafiti artist and then Matt finds him effortlessly and beats him up. It's frustrating because the production quality is up to snuff, but they're trying to do three different plotlines and they've made no attempt to tie them together in any way.

Stopped watching halfway through the first episode and never looked back.

This means whenever we seen Frank castle on screen in this show, it is the new version and new producers. The new producers couldn't tell us how Matt knew where he lived? That's such an important question imo.

We don't see him quitting being Daredevil for good, we don't see Foggy's reactions or Marci's reaction to this, we don't see Karen and Matt falling apart and him not being able to make it work, we don't see his initial thoughts on why Dex even did this in the first place and who could've hired him to do it if anyone even did, and we don't see the crisis that he would've experienced over all of this.

There could've been like a whole season's worth of a compelling story within the first 15 minutes alone and they blew it.
